  1. I have to say Eddie, he felt like a real character that I could identify at that age. He had real issues, real friends, worked, had his problems with his parents and his siblings, but in the end. I felt like he was a realistic portrayal of a Chicago teen at that time. Even as the series went on, he moved onto things naturally from high school, to work, to college. He was progressing through the series.
  2. I have to agree, and at least with Cam and Mitch and the expensive piano. It was them trying to show off Mitch's new job instead of: "It's so rare and expensive, let's buy it." Least they could return it. Truth be told Alex was great this episode, but they have really been putting Phil into: "I'm a wimp and getting trampled on by people this season." Seriously, the girl running the game shop I would have been: "Oh go to hell, it's a free spot, get over yourself."
  3. Also, the actor who plays Dylan is also apparently tied up in other projects and this was to give an out for the character. Plus, with the series ending next year apparently, I can see him making a brief return to wrap up the character. I just got tired of makign Dylan and Haley dumb and dumber and it got to the point you just didn't know how to the two of them even knew how to tie their own shoes by the end.
  4. Right on both occasions and even more, Kirk and Lulu had even more strange things since they were in the 40s and then talked about having kids after being married for almost 8 years? Ummm... huh?
  5. I agree, considering his handicap there comes to a point where you have to stop having a hissy fit and just move on. Of course, look who is mother is.
  6. Exactly, came more off like teens in the 16-17 range.
  7. Even in the Gilmore Girl Neflix revival, when she was drunk talking about how the "ship had sailed" on her virginity it added even more to the confusion. Since she admitted and even Chris in Spring said that Lorelai had dated others before him. That is a very small window.
  8. The entire episode and where they want to go with Alex's professor's storyline is a mess and is heading towards complete: "WTF were they thinking." Professors or even TAs at colleges to junior colleges is almost forbidden. There is much worry about sexual harassment or even said students feeling burned and want restitution anyway they can. Something that happened in my former college was a campus cop who was dating a student. Granted the cop was 23 and the student was 21, but he ethically realized he couldn't date her with her being a student and she went to great lengths to get back at him. It took almost 8 years to get resolved and finally ended because the student's former two roommates said that she purposely did it and nothing was "forced" by the former officer in question. But it caused so much back lashed for the campus police and the former officer as he tried to move on with his life. Leading to not only policy changes, but several higher ups losing their jobs or asking to resign. So this entire thing with Alex's professor or previous with Manny's professor is not only wrong, but being in California ,they were would be screwed career wise. The writers think this is funny or "charming" or they have to continue to paint Alex as this over oblivious nerd with no sense of ethics and being a bitch when it doesn't go her way. It is just old, one more year and Modern Family comes to an end, but as this episode proved, they should have called it last year. Don't get me started on Joe, that was just horrible.
  9. I agree on both, Evan has gone to the point where he has 1 upped Jessica in attitudes and view of things. While Eddie has really gotten his shit together, but still is Eddie. Yeah, I agree I mean why did Jessica and Louis just look on after the way Evan acted. I mean even Jessica should have said: "That was even too far for me."
  10. Completely agree, in fact Evan and Jessica are almost indistiquishable now as characters. It's mini me and and when they don't like something, all hell breaks lose. In this case, seriously, Evan was in the wrong. Even when Eddie thanked him at the beginning.
  11. Yes, the videos and the cassettes did vary. I am a fan of Day Dream Believer, She, I'm a Believer and Going Down.
  12. Yeah, Peter has the most "true hollywood" story out of all four members. His talking in interviews about his drug and drinking towards the end of the series and afterwards. I know when he was doing guest spots on shows playing of all things a musician. He wanted to have them fit in about his sad past even in passing basically saying: "I made a lot of bad decisions, but there is hope, so believe you can do better."
  13. Mike was always a favorite of mine too. He just was the straight man who had great chemistry with the entire group. You saw their relationships and Mike knew how to talk and work with all of them. I remember in the final episode of the series when they were doing their personal walks with them. Mike was talking about how he never envisioned a life like this and it wasn't what he really wanted, but was very happy he came to be friends with everyone.
  14. Funny too how both Micky and Davy were the most singers and how Peter and Mike did the most acting. Funny because they both could sing very well, but then again Mike was the serious musician and person both in the group and in real life off the set. Micky had this great sense of comedic timing and movement even when he sang. He just lived up the room.
  15. I felt Odo was very under used. Granted they couldn't have him looking like people, but there was so much they could have done with him. They could have had him in a radiation suit and trying to check out records or something. Instead he was: "Get your act together Quark, we can't stay in the early 20th century."
  16. Yes, it was way too busy thinking. It just threw the ideas out the window of starting "fresh" with the Trill. I agree, it did seem very "un-Federation" with that kind of limitations and so forth, but remember, Trek had the first ever inter racial kiss, so let's do that L-word.
  17. Hard to believe, but yes, most shows are filming the end of their seasons right now. I know The Middle is about to wrap their FINAL episode next week and other shows are finishing up this week and next.
  18. From what I understand, they wanted to key into Roseanne can't advance at a job or has the drive to want to expanded the Landford world to the mall. Of course closing the place down two years later, because it was getting "expensive" for the extras and set. Then they go build the Lunchbox but that was apparently easier as they used less extras, but were making a successful profit.
  19. Mrs. Readster said: "Want Naps" too.
  20. Yes, I watched Enterprise from day 1 and as a fan of the series since I was a lad of 2, I liked the call back. Even the concept, but there were problems with the writing, T'Pol/Trip relationship was one, but man Terra Firma ending gets me every time. The Temper Cold War while having a good conclusion, just felt drawn out. The build up of multiple episodes as one big story, actually worked very well. However, the Vulcans just came across too much as assholes, which started with DS9. Something about the current rebooted movies. I felt they found a way to keep the logic but reserve of emotions better than how they did with Vulcan in this series. Of course I take that more with Leonard Nimoy guiding Zachary Quintno when Star Trek launched in 2009. Plus, that JJ Abrams kept that respect and had other problems, but that isn't for here. Though I did like the fact that Beyond took the terrain uniforms from Enterprise, as I did like that out and about military look.
  21. Right and why they were doing that in Generations with the transition and the excuse since they were on a certain budget and couldn't put everyone in the new DS9 uniforms and why they borrowed ones from the show for the movie. Jonathan Frankes was actually wearing Avery Brooks due to their height similarities. Patrick Stewart and LeVar Burton were originals due to their height. I'm not sure what extra was used for Brent Spiner in Generations. Also, when asked why Voyager never made the switch and it was simply explained: "They are out in the middle of the Delta Quadrant, limited to contact with Starfleet and they have limit replicator use. Hence, why would they do a switch?" Considering the turn that DS9 made with the Dominion the new uniforms fit pretty well, I did like the the Late 24th century outfits that were first introduced in All Good Things. It was kind of a call back to the original series of various colors for dress and were still flexible. I know Garret Wang referred to them as like the original movie series uniforms, but you could wrap and move in them more easily. Colm Meany said he enjoyed the first 4 seasons and later the post First Contact Uniforms as you could roll them up and stretch in them without feeling like you were going to tear them.
  22. I love Lynda Carter and she was great in these episodes. I did crack up at Caroline Ray's "50% off at TJ Maxx" my own mother said: "That would be me." The cereal aisle question was so broad, saying Frosted Flakes was actually a good answer, but just as the celebs showed, it is so broad, it's hard to come up with a good match there. As for the audience, that looked pretty standard for modern game shows. The reason shows like: The Price is Right or Jeopardy are so large is not only due to the audience interaction, but also the time those shows have been on. I think the current $100,000 has the same size audience.
  23. I see Sam and Deluca are just the one note sex joke. Because we needed to see her with her scrubs off and hacker intern can't realize that Bailey was working on a project? Or how Bailey is known to be "on vacation" instead of recovering from surgery and a heart attack. Also good to know that Jackson's mother just can't keep sex jokes out of a surgery. As for April, this is just painful, she is going over how much she is hurting and in pain and everyone is: "oh, what does this say at the bottom of the rules?"
  24. Right because even reading about what's ahead, they don't even plan on dealing with that. Just more of: "She was suppose to be at home with her new baby and for her younger kids." It's turn into: "Dre wants June Clever and Bow wants me time." What the hell?
