  1. I could see a missing of certification, because that is very common and considering how many times they have moved and changed schools. It would make the most belieavable sense. If they just say: "Well, he has been behind this year." That is BS, plus really why? I would love to see JJ in college, it would be full of great stories and situations.
  2. Neither do I. That's my birthday weekend, that wouldn't be a good present.
  3. Look, Haley still wants to be famous? I will be shocked if the professor does anything to Haley. Seriously, even Phil yelling at her or even Claire telling Haley to figure things out a few episodes ago. She still tries to become rich and famous when she has no skills at all. It's gotten old.
  4. They also have him doing things that make no sense and have no resolution. I mean the episode before he was sneaking in and stealing things from the house. It went nowhere and just this episode, he is dying his hair blonde and gets his RIGHT ear pierced? I mean seriously? Hailey is no better, they have her doing almost the same thing every time she appears: "I have no money, no car, no my PHONE, oh wait I can live without them and I will learn... oh look new phone! and rich people are the best!" Wash rinse and repeat, again and again and again. Honestly they should just keep Joe and Lily with the occasional appearance with Luke, Luke is actually doing stuff. Manny to Alex should just go.
  5. I have to say this felt like a classic Modern Family episode, but I have said it before and I'll say it again. They have no idea what to do with the kids except for Joe. I mean Alex is feeding stray cats in an alley while she is at college? Hailey can't function without modern technology? Manny dyes his hair blonde and then pierces his right ear? Umm.... yeah ok. Seriously, I wanted to know what the hell was up with Alex and those cats and really Haily is at the point if it wasn't for her phone she would not be able to do anything? When a few weeks ago not having a phone made her actually try and do something? I be happy if they just wrote off all the kids with the occasional appearance by Luke at the club moving up to management and just mention of everyone else and just have Joe. Because they have no idea what to do with them anymore. Because you know, not like the writers were ever in their early to late 20s once? Cracked up with Phil and his various messages over the years and always a pleasure to see Fred Willard.
  6. That's what really didn't make sense. It wasn't like Bow was there for the first 4 no problem. Granted having a baby after the first two are almost out of the house and so many years apart can be an adjustment. But this was too much. Also, with the entire Lucky Charms cereal with Diane and Jack. It was like they never had sugar before, considering their father hides super sugar items around the house because he didn't want his kids eating it before him when he needed it. Hence also why he got diabetes because of his poor diet and stress eating. Just mentioning that Dre still has it and Junior is bringing up Bow's pour shopping skills, that was too much. Especially with the glue stick. Ruby or Dre could have gotten a damn glue stick. Also, don't they have neighbors? Why would they be out of glue sticks to begin with? Nothing is making sense and don't get me started on the magical duplex that Ruby apparently owns yet sponges off Dre and Bow like they all owe her something. Rhonda is the normal one of that family? Really? Wow! Plus, just because Bow knows and even tells Dre that his co-workers make him do stupid crap doesn't mean it hasn't gotten old. Seriously, how did any of these men get into a white collar job like this and haven't been thrown in jail by now? It's becoming too much. Having them have Dante and throwing Zoey to college was not a smart move at all by the show. Because while Junior has really become such a better character, everyone else are complete idiots. Just the main 4 and having Zoey around was keeping the family sane. They I'm waiting for the house to burn down.
  7. The original Lily didn't want to perform after she turned 3 and they recast her. Since the current Lily was two years older, they figured they could fudge the age range. Let's face it, even with Pam and her baby, the baby is basically the one that Mitch and Cam wanted to adopt about 5 years ago and gave the baby to Jay and Gloria. While Joe did work out in the long run, Pam has been a scenery chewer and just full of stupid storylines. Though I will give props to James Van Derbek being Bo.
  8. Which they rewrote so it didn't look like a black man abandoning his pregnant wife.
  9. Hiding high sugar foods in places like the garage and the toilet.
  10. Politics always goes into things like this. The reason for the move back in season 2 was because they wanted to try and get viewship up on Friday nights again. Even though the show had no competition and was doing well even when there wasn't any Dancing with the Stars Results shows. The move and the major cast and story changes to Friday nights hurt the shows ratings, but it still won it its slot, but never got what it was doing on Tuesday nights. But it was what the studio wanted not what was working just fine.
  11. Depends on the landlord, there are some real nut cases out there who will even peak in to see what people are doing at 10:30 at night and then hide behind: "They have the right as the owner." crap. I've known some who show up out of nowhere or switch hands with a family member. Or never see one and then the property manager who is a separate person who up and be like: "They have a dog or mice?" Then tells the landlord to make changes or they will go with a property change due to possible damages to the house. It is a very scary reality. So, him showing up out of nowhere isn't a shock to me.
  12. I remember both Ira and Michael Piller talking about the episode almost 4 months after it aired when they were scouting filming locations. The mayor at the time was talking about doing just what the episode was about. They said it was very eerie to them and thought for a moment: "I hope we never go this far for real." Yeah, scary how things have moved that way just from short sighted views. It's a favorite of mine too, and I did enjoy the lighter moments in the episode like when Miles and Kira end up in the 60s with the hippies and then get beamed back out and the hippies go: "Far out!"
  13. It's funny how they are trying to push the Spin off with Ben and more since Scandel is ending this season and I think everyone knows that Grey's is on borrowed time. However, I hate the way Bailey is reacting to everything. I think it would make more sense if they hadn't built Ben to be so gun-ho on career changes. Him from anesthesiologist to surgeon wasn't too much of a switch. Going to firefighter is a different story and the way they did it: "I find it exciting!" Then expect to be his gun-ho attitude to be more reason why it would be a perfect for him. If they had it where he was the medical consultant for the paramedic division or on sight. Then it would make more sense and Bailey would feel like Ben was jumping ship when he was so close to the finish line, but would agree it was an opportunity just not 100% with it. But you know, drama.
  14. That's what I enjoyed about Katie at the end with how Cooper could get in trouble and even he admitted it. The thing I don't like is how Oliver is basically told he is Cooper's bitch right now since Oliver is so on his "sell out" attitude. Any other kid would be: "Holy crap, you are right!" The focus lately on Oliver getting reality checks this season I think they are heading somewhere. Season 1 Oliver was the right balance, here in season 2 it's turned up to 13 and then you have a couple of episodes where it is down to 5, where I think is the perfect balance. I loved that Taylor had her plans completely backfire on her with Ellen, it was needed. I'm waiting for a big one on Oliver and I think it's going to happen and Cooper is going to be the reason.
  15. Something that many shows like Black-ish seem to be out of touch with is how they think that being a stay at home parent is all rainbows and butterflies for one and expect the other will do it. The last show that did it in a realistic manner was Modern Family for a few years with Cam. Then having him go back to work felt organic. Here Dre wanting Bow to stay at home because: "It will be easier for everyone and I can show I'm the MAN of the house." Is such bullshit. Even the way her co-workers act at the hospital, they are down right hateful towards her and seriously, why? It was like about ten years ago on Grey's Anatomy where Bailey was constantly bullied by her ex husband and her father with: "You care more about your job than your family." You wanted to go: "Where is the money coming from to pay the bills then?" Then they had it where her ex-husband could take two years off since he was a lawyer and her father would front the money. That's where the line is crossed between reality and fiction because even back then going back to her your old job would be: "You've been gone for 2 years, we functioned fine without you, good luck and nice knowing you." The way they also have Charlie with his deadbeatness goes way to far. Even a few years ago when he just walk out of the apartment and leave his son sitting alone in the dark wasn't funny. That is the example of taking a character's worst traits and pushing them to the extreme expecting people to find it funny, and it's not. It makes them look horrible and you can even tell the actors don't find it funny either because they can't sell it as funny. This is just a horrible direction the show has been taking the last year and sadly, they fell into the "add another kid to the show" because it will be rich with stories and then it turns into this. Which is utter crap and the show is on it's downfall.
  16. The Brown Room was where they walked out of the room, thanks to Laurie. The Foot Painting was from Hilde, the owner said she had constant feet issues, even though she was called out by both Hilde and her husband about her having multi-painted toe nails and toe rings. Saying: "But it's my foot." They decided to paint 3 canvases that were a giant foot when put together. When they did the reveal, she loved the living room, but wanted the painting to come down. They argued about it and she just said: "Respect me and take it down." That was the last it was seen after that. The Brown Room cost the neighbors their frienships and everything and Lauire even doing two interviews said: "I just can't believe they hated the room that much. I mean OK, you didn't like brown, but there were other parts they did admit they enjoyed, but next time when someone says I hate a certain color. I'll keep it far away." Too bad Hilde never learned this. They were two separate rooms. Brown room I explained on my other post, the woman was even tackled to the grown on camera and not in a joking manner saying: "I hate brown, I've told you and told you, why did you do this?" The fireplace was another episode completely that had the same effect and then add in the baby poop room. If you notice after that episode, brown was almost outlawed by the show or by the people on it.
  17. I had no problem with Paige, because she was fun. Alex was professional, but really when I look at both Alex and Paige. Paige wins out by several reasons from stage presence to being energetic. Alex was just a plain host, that had been scene time and time on shows like that back in the early 2000s. Did she go overboard at times? Oh yes, but when we didn't see her for the last couple of seasons, it just didn't feel right.
  18. Pretty good list, but Second Skin I felt was done better on TNG with Troi. Though the stories are different in plot, I felt the plot was better in TNG. However, I agree on most of the others, especially Pale Moonlight.
  19. Very true, there are so many more options than over a decade ago. I could even see the designers using Pinterest or various crew members helping. Frank revealed that usually after filming that crews stayed around for a few days to do anything. The straw being one of them as it took 17 hours to remove all of them and same with the feathers room. It apparently became a constant after the "brown room incident". Frank said the easiest was when they did the "foot room" as the wife had a foot problem, despite she painted her toe nails various colors and even had toe rings, but it took a whopping 5 minutes to take down the 3 canvases.
  20. There are just some major monstrosities over the course of the show with pretty much every designer. I'm not going into Hilde's eye sores that should be burned, or have been literally burned away. Even Frank and Vern had some ones that I remember back in their original airings watching with my family going: "What the hell?"
  21. My early favorite line was in Babel: Odo: "I have to get to that ship before it tears the station apart!" Quark: "I can operate the transporter and get you there, go Odo!' Odo gets on the transport pad. Quark: "I must have witnessed it a dozen times." Odo: "Wittness? You mean you have never used it?" Quark: "Energizing!" Odo points as he is transported away. Love that scene. The Seige Dax: "What was that?" Kira: "That? It was a bancade, the Bajorian moons are full of them." Dax; "So during your missions you would sit around campfires and sing about them I take it?" Kira: "No. We use to eat them."
  22. It really depends on the class schedule. If there is only one section of a class at certain time of the day for a grade level or during a semester. If there is a special request to have them separated by a parent or guardian, usually it's honored if possible. If say there is only a STEM class once a semester for several grade levels then when it's that grade level's rotation that semester, there isn't much choice. Hence twins will end up in the same class. It can vary in high school level depending on how many teachers teach a certain section. Say there are 5 social study teachers, but only one teaches government while two teach consumer education, then more than likely a set of twins will have the government teacher, but separate teacher when it comes to consumer education.
  23. Yeah, but since they time line it so much with the 80s and real work there (Transformers the movie was 1985) and Adam was just a pre-teen then. They can still advance things up, but if they want to try and keep Adam in high school as long as they tried with Erica and now with Barry. They are going to run into problems.
  24. At this point in time, I don't get what Cam and Mitch are trying to do in these cases? Their daughter is a grade ahead, she is in middle school, started puberty, she was even able to babysit her baby cousin without much help. I'm surprised she doesn't want them less involve din things now. These other girls were pretty normal and didn't really know how a spa part was suppose to work and Pam was so clueless you think she was doing make up, smoking and wearing a bra at 15 to be that clueless on what 12-13 year olds are suppose to behave. Hell, I've seen 14 year olds wearing and knowing more revealing stuff than what Pam was in the mind set of. Seriously, Cam has turned into more than a man-baby than Dre on Black-ish and that's saying a lot.
  25. Joe has worked very well, even I'm impressed and has worked with a lot of stories with Jay and Gloria because Manny is still the same character from season 1-2. While Jay and him have really come to common ground and even Jay showing he loves Manny. Manny is mini Cam, thinking its all about him with his "old soul in young body" crap. They still never explained why he was stealing things from the house when he would be pretty busy at school. In fact, Alex's appearances have been more realistic this season than Manny. Haily with all of Sarah's health problems the last year is better when she isn't around. Because Haily much like Manny hasn't moved beyond season 1-2 either. Yet complains how she hates where her life is, but does nothing to change herself. Seriously, I wish Phil and Claire would kick her out of the house, get rid of Pam and have her move upstairs to Mitch and Cam. That would make more sense than the utter suckage that is Pam.
