Mrs. Readster and I were saying the same, looked odd for them to be out of the coffee house on Thanksgiving when it was closed. Even if they would have said: "Yeah, thanks for this, I only can take my aunt so long at Thanksgiving." Would have helped a bit. It took me a minute to recognize Julia Duffy before my wife said: "Isn't that what's her name from Newhart?"

Good points on all, originally Arizona was a pediatrician, now I don't know what she is anymore. As for Bailey, constant continuing that the Chief of Surgery is the know all be all of the hospital, when that's not how the chief of anything is. Jo's chief resident has been the only thing depicted correctly. As for De Luca, seriously? This is how they wanted to move his character forward? His sexed crazed sister who grew up with their foreign father shows up, followed by his ex-girlfriend that makes the two of them just have to jump each other. Who is a horrible actress and their back story is so cliche and stupid on top of that. Of course they would end up at the same hospital after a couple years apart. I am not happy to think what is going to happen when De Luca realizes Jo's ex is at the hospital now too, what are Alex and Nathan going to do? Get the black masks on and got kick the shit out of him and dump the body? "Hey Alex what was that move that make you make my eye bulge out?" "Oh it was this! And don't use our real names, this is a dark hit."

Most hospitals have an "intranet" which means it is local to them. You can't access it unless you are in the building or know the portal access. Plus, the way the tech guy at the hospital was talking, sounded like one of the biggest idiots, ever. Sure he knows how much bitcoin translates to and the FBI guy should have plainly said: "It won't matter, most hackers like this take the money and run and you get nothing!" Bailey acted like an idiot and really, no one else didn't go: "Wait, no one can all be flatlining at once, that makes no sense." Also, how the hack started made no sense, you can't go simple automation one wing with monitors and then suddenly it spreads to every building. They would have had to VPN in or know the exact access. Yet, no data, can't find simple people who gave kids their check ups or injections. The building would have been locked down the second the FBI came in. 9 times out of the 10, the person doing that kind of a hack is someone who works in the building and knows the access. Instead they were like: "Oh, yeah, that will be on Friday and yeah maybe someone clicked on an email instead of deleting it, but nah! Must be a super hacker!" Just like how the FBI showed up in almost no time after the hospital realized they were cyber attacked. That's some damn fast response time. Also, Bailey yelling at Richard that it was his fault her husband wanted to be a stupid firefighter. I was like: "Why do you hate it so much? Because he'll get killed? Or the fact it is a right wing change that screams him having his own tumor.

Yes, I even remember other episodes where Jesse and Joey said they dropped off bills. Would do the grocery shoping, ect. Kimmy and Step have said the same. They might not pay rent, but they were pitching in else where.

Right, so if he magically makes the ransomware disappear and everyone thinking he is some hero. Guess that plays into the set up of how he is: "Super evil!" Having the FBI show up, the entire building would have been locked down from top to bottom. Only have emergency like the patient being flown out. Other wise, it paints Alex and Amelia with: "We have to do something, because we don't, the world will stop." That kid might have been having problems and so glad that Grey Sloan still hires the worst security and computer people in the world. I mean, unable to get to the blood bank. Even the most high tech of hospitals still have emergency access, but we know that isn't possible in the Grey's Universe. The hacker piece happens, but they had everyone including the FBI looking like idiots.

Spoilers and Spoiler Speculation: Benchmarking
readster replied to stopthestatic's topic in Grey's Anatomy
It's enough to expose everything to everyone. Hell, I could see Bailey going: "How the hell do you use a fake name and get through not only med school but into the field of medicine in general?" Seriously, there are so many points they have to explain and it just goes to: "I legally changed my name and left it at that." That doesn't mean Mr. Super Evil, I have connections husband just went: "oh well, who cares. Let her run away." There are so many holes in Jo's story over the last few years and I know they want to tackle domestic abuse and everything. But they are going to have to either ignore things or leave it just why she couldn't just divorce him from day one. -
Sad to say, I know how Greg felt. You try and do the things to may a parent happy and it drives everyone else insane, but in the long run, it hurts you more. The truth of Greg's father having a secret family was shocking. However, I loved how he said his brother is also named Greg to avoid calling them the wrong name was hilarious. I really enjoyed this episode, Katie was spot on in everything and her mom can come back any time.

Maybe wife number 2 took him the cleaners.

As soon as I saw Mitch get out the nunchucks and by that much glass I went: "Oh no, not again." But it was hilarious, even later when he tried to break Phil out of the box. Jay got Joe kicked out of school? Ok, but I loved how Cam said: "That's how I learned things in school." Other wise, I felt this was just another episode of everyone trying to cover up lies that backfired. Been there, done that.

Star Wars Rebels - General Discussion
readster replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Star Wars Rebels
Funny thing about Ezra, since they next Star Was trilogy after Episode IX, is suppose to take place on the other side of the galaxy. I could see an aged Ezra showing up there. He kind of went off into his own seclusion without ever really finishing his jedi training. He be in his late 40s. -

I'm getting the same thoughts on Kanan too, but I'm also seeing that Governor Pryce isn't going to be leaving Lothal either. Because since this season began, she has been growing more and more wanting to do things her way than Thrawn. We know where that got the last high ranking Empire officer. -
S14.E07: Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story
readster replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Grey's Anatomy
So after having the crap beat out of him, yelled at, basically shit on, the best idea for Deluca was to bring back his ex. Where they basically broke up over very stupid reasons and just was about sex. -
Both Cam and Mitch get worst and worst each season. Cam is to the point where if it isn't about him, he goes into a fit. With Mitch, he screws up and tries to cover it up more than ever. The sparking smoothie machine and trying to do everything in secret. I'm surprise they are still together in any shape or form.

General Discussion: You Exist Here

Basically: "We want to save money, pull out the TNG uniforms since we are on Earth and we can get away with it." Then since it was well known there would be new uniforms for the 1996 release of First Contact. They would just go from there and work it into the budgets. Because it was known that the old uniforms from DS9 were reused for Voyager. -

Which really made little sense because by the time they did the switch to the First Contact uniforms, everyone had them. Voyager perfectly said it because they were out in the Delta Quadrant and had limited replication and resources. Hence, keeping them in the DS9 uniforms was easy. -
It also worked with Van's character considering his age and everything. Even his swing to Real estate made sense because he said it best: "They'll be a second baby and there won't be any money, I'm not letting that happen." However, when they broaden it or tried to have it where Van acted like he knew better than Cheyenne, that went out the door.

A nick pick for me was when both Jonathan Frankes and Michael Dorn were on DS9. It was suppose to be Thomas Riker, but he was wearing his old red uniform. I do not get that at all since Generations was long released, and we saw Riker in the current Starfleet uniform. Yet everyone acted like: "Oh, wearing the old uniform, that doesn't raise a red flag." Where with Worf, Rick Bermann said they put Worf in his old costume because they had already tailored the new costume for Michael Dorn and didn't want to spend money making two for him. Yet everyone was to be: "Oh Worf is just depressed over the destruction of the Enterprise, he's in his old yellow uniform." -
I felt Brock never learned from all the crap he did over the years, especially in the flashbacks of him early on. How he "fell" for Barbra Jean made little sense. They could have gone some good places when they introduced that he was clinically depressed that lasted for several episodes. Even BJ's reaction thinking that someone shouldn't be depressed if they have a wife and family at home. Then learning that depression doesn't work that way. However, by the time we got to the final season, Brock had really taken off to super ass, of course the actor was also starting to moonlight on Boston Legal at the time. For Van, when they had him start realizing how he had to work hard for things and be a good role model, he was great in the role. When they wanted to keep back peddling on him being stupid or more naive than Barbra Jean, it made him look horrible. Reason why I got tired of Kira's character after the move out. You got why she wanted to move out, she wanted to be a regular teen, but then she hated being a regular teen. I also know that the actresses eating disorder was playing a role in things too, but Kira started becoming an entitled brat more than her sister later on.

Exactly!
-
I agree, just like they all of a sudden made Taylor go from really dumb down to just being naive about things, but then turned her into a typical teen who just makes some basic decisions that Katey doesn't like. They don't have to throw in the forefront, but Anna-Kat's OCD really just disappeared especially after the lice episode a couple episodes back.
-
Oh I agree, even a throw away line: "Too bad Haley is having car trouble while she was out with friends in San Diego." Many times shows have had big events and the actors are either busy, but they throw out very stupid lines like: "She couldn't come to father's funeral because her baby has an ear infection." or "They are in another country." I mean come on, there are believable lines and then there stupid ones, but no explanation at all is pathetic.

S14.E06: Come on Down to My Boat, Baby
readster replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Grey's Anatomy
Yeah, the man is just a punching bag, I can relate. Especially when an old girlfriend shows up where you have been working to start new. I'm pretty sure it goes to the fact they dated in medical school. she was a couple of years younger and they broke up for any reason. DeLuca was completely shocked to see her as in: "I live far away from last we saw each other, how the hell did you end up here?" So, Jo now is deciding to finally divorce her asshole of a husband and not worried about anything. You know, because you could have done that years ago and filed a restraining order. Duh! -
It's like I say about the: "I hate Wesley" episodes because they have to have all the adults at like complete idiots to make the story line work. To Boldly Go, Datalore or even Final Mission and Journey's End. Everyone acts like a complete idiot, but Wesley is the only one with a brain. Even Wil Weaton admitted it was stupid. Here with Picard it makes him come off as: "Bah, I have no life, I want to be miserable and do my job." "But captain, you need some time off." "FU Troi! But I'll go." Then in Qpid, I think it was perfect how Vash told him: "I'm so sorry you having a life outside of your chair embarreses you." It was like in Galaxy's Child, instead of using phasers, why not just use the tractor beam to push it?

S09.E05: It's the Great Pumpkin, Phil Dunphy
readster replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Modern Family [V]
Right, the laws of physics didn't apply, if they would have had a piece of paper over the stainglass that eventually burned the door and then spread. That would have been more realistic because when they did that pause to show it was going to happen when Jay and Mitch left. I was like: "Seriously? The law of physics do whatever they want in Cam and Mitch's kitchen?" Just like the smoothie machine sparked fire the first time and burned the kitchen down, but it was perfectly fine. Not to mention it only sparked when used, when it wasn't even on when they left the house the first time.
