She (Dolly) has said that she wanted Beyonce to cover Jolene & that she loves this version. To your point about changing lyrics, yes it's still a cover version, just updated for 2024. Apparently Jolene the song has been covered more times by different acts than any other song.

The way they were all goading Tyray to kiss that girl was just degrading, manipulative & pathetic in my opinion, this was below just about every other stunt they've pulled on this show, awful. Shouldn't be allowed.

How are more people not watching this? Sat down Saturday night to give the first episode a tryout & ended up watching every other episode on Sunday without stopping. Absolutely Guy Ritchie at his best with all of his usual caricatures of English gangsters, travelers & misfits. Fantastic fun.
