Like Sand Through an Hourglass: Behind the Scenes of DOOL
JBC344 replied to OnceSane's topic in Days Of Our Lives
Wow!!! Victoria Grace (Wendy Shin) rescinded her Emmy nomination. Looks like there was some sort of confusion with her submission. Young Performer Emmys are for 18yrs and younger. Victoria was 21 at the start of 2022. I don't know how this wasn't fact checked before. I believe the rule was changed a year or so ago. Young performer used to be 21 or early twenties and younger. I can't tell if the Academy was going to let it slide and she decided to rescind to avoid controversy if she won. Or they were going to revoke and gave her the chance to save face. Really unfortunate for Victoria, she seems really heartbroken over the situation.- 5.2k replies

SWV & Xscape: The Queens Of R&B - General Discussion
JBC344 replied to TexasGal's topic in SWV & Xscape: The Queens Of R&B
Ironically that is the plan. If you look at the set list in the scene the actual "final song" is both groups covering "I'm every Woman". This argument seems to be on who "ends" their individual group performances. When you look at it that way, I'm actually siding with Xscape. If SWV is opening the set list, Xscape should close, then both groups are on stage for the actual final performance of "I'm every Woman". Watching this episode I got a little more insight on Xscape's position. As much as I prefer SWV's songs I can see that Xscape has a much more "polished" show. They sell out bigger venues and their ticket sales and profits are higher than SWV, who actually tours more than them. I think co- headlining was the right decision but from a business standpoint I understand Xscape a lot more clearer now. -
Didn't mind the Xander/Chloe scenes, but please only go as far as a friendship at best. He has a lot of repenting to do to make up for what he did to her. Justin, you are married to Bonnie Lockhart, please put down the stones. Maggie, see Justin and repeat. You can't tear down Alex and then praise Xander in this situation. Leo, I still go back and forth with. Love the friendship with Gwen, hate the double crossing and going after Chloe. Love the call back with Stefan and Melinda. That first scene of theirs is at least 6-7yrs old now. Nice use of recent history.

All this information about Tamika's money is really disgusting. They totally stole her money and the mom was most likely in on it. It be your own family sometimes.- 49 replies

Leo brought this up couple of times while Gwen was starting to feel sorry about taking the paper. Leo deemed it karma for Jack stealing it from Diana originally. -
Loved today's episode. Anna is always a highlight. Loved scrolling thru the list of Dimera relatives. Would love for them to bring Peter back and Steven to the show. Appreciated the serious scenes with Nick and Jake. Glad that they mentioned his rape and how the trauma he experienced changed his character forever.

Snowboarding accident. Wishing Galen positive/ healing vibes. -
I'm assuming the show will do an even bigger tribute once they decide how they will end the character. Remember this is just what they put together to mark his last episode, a last episode that obviously wasn't planned.

The funniest part is Lamon said no one bothered to wake them. They just shot around them sleeping. So when the cast was hanging the ornaments they just shot from different angles so we the audience wouldn't see them knocked out in the background. Easy day at work.- 5.2k replies

Charlie has been a hallucination this last go round. More like "the devil" on Ava's shoulder. Before that he was a zombie, and then a minion for the devil storyline. -

Jack has definitely been the "universal everyman" when it came to pairings. I miss all the platonic friendships the show would have, a majority of them with Jack. Isabella, Kate, Billie, Sami, Greta, Nicole. -

They knew. The cast was sent an email the night John died, which was the 11th. They along with everyone else was asked not to say anything until the family released a statement. Jennifer Aniston was in conversation with Peacock about when to release a statement. It was decided to do it after the festivities of Day of Days. As most people know Jennifer Aniston has a long history with NBC/Universal and therefore Peacock. -

The cast did know of John's passing!!!! They along with a few of us from press were told when it happened. We were also asked not to say anything. Jennifer Aniston made the decision to wait until after Day of Days so it wouldn't cast a cloud over the event. It was the right decision to make.
