Loved the Sonny and Maggie scenes. I liked them addressing the idea of your partner putting work before you, but did I miss something? Will was the one being incredibly supportive of Sonny being CEO at Titan, moving back to Salem solo while Ari was still in school. Also it was Sonny's work that took them out of Salem and moved them to Arizona in the first place. I know in the past Will's work has been an issue, but for the last 5yrs, it's been the Sonny work that has dominated their lives.

I think Rachel herself might of wrote the note. They have been laying the groundwork for her "bad seed" transformation. Or Stefan as an option is interesting. Also Joey and Trip made up when he got our of prison and also have been living together with Stefanie in Seattle the last few months. They've already addressed the Ava situation.

Yes, this is actually what brought Josh Taylor to the show as Roman. He was missing, Kristen found him, brought him back to Salem (of course to help her break up John/Marlena). Roman was infected and dying, which put a wrench in John and Marlena's happy reunion.

It would be a cool way to tie Sloan to the canvas a little more. I'm liking her more in every scene. I also think Chad could use a completely new storyline. I've often thought that they should bring Mia back for Chad. They could explore that in an interesting way. Sort of a Sami/Lucas thing if Will had died. You could also have Mia still hate Nicole, possibly seek vengeance against her.

Yes, right after her, Roman, and the others were rescued. The character was completely dropped. There was a rumor, never confirmed that Jordan when she first came to town was supposed to be Cassie in disguise. Supposedly it was scrapped at the last minute and they created the Jordan character from it. If true it sort of explains the early set up of the Jordan/Kate rivalry that never made sense.

Eric Winter was generally great as Rex. Outside of his relationship with Mimi, his most significant pairing was his mother/son relationship with Kate. With all of Kate's issues with her children it was actually refreshing to have Rex be enthralled that she was his mother. We were actually allowed to see their journey of getting to know one another. At the time Roman and Cassie were "killed" by the Salem stalker, so as we were seeing them connect as father and daughter. We also saw Rex and Kate bond. From that storyline alone I always considered Rex as 2nd in line in terms of children closest to Kate. Lucas of course as the eternal #1 spot.

I think Brandom Beemer sparks with Nadia's Chloe, but considering their real life history I don't think the show would ever go there. I loved their scene this past week. I feel like the writers are comfortable writing them as friends now. More so than when they initially broke up in real life.

Many of us have a fond ness for him when he was David's nanny and dating Sonny. That and the actor Brock Kelly is an incredibly nice guy. This is the problem when they take a likeable actor/character so far to the deep end it can be hard to change course and bring them back around.

In the 90's, it was both Harold and Iliana on staff. I feel back then they used Iliana more. She disappeared (Character wise) and it's only been Harold since then.

I don't understand the logic. Kristen and Theresa weren't Best friends who had a falling out. Theresa was Kristen's victim because she was involved with Brady. Kristen has no parental rights to Rachel and no say on how she is to be raised. Theresa for all her faults recognizes Rachel as an innocent child and invited Rachel to visit a little longer with Tate, while Brady went back to Salem. Your logic would make more sense in a situation like Rafe sending Holly to visit Sami in Italy for the summer.

Rachel is only visiting with Tate and Theresa, most likely because it's the summer. That and the kids are siblings.

She separated and moved out because of Jan. She had legal separation papers drawn up and signed so she can "explore" her feelings for EJ. The scene after she kissed EJ, she immediately left the Dimera mansion, drew up the papers and had Shawn sign them. Kristen is in jail, that is why Brady felt comfortable leaving Rachel w/ Theresa.

Considering the main reason Belle asked for the separation was because her feelings for EJ, "cheating" is sort of a gray area here.

Yeah my understanding is they have been separated a while before she got pregnant. No idea when that relationship started but I would assume the estranged wife would be smarter than to get pregnant as a result of infidelity.

Yes, that is the original actress Miranda Wilson reprising the role of Megan Hathaway. I know we are getting Eileen, but it's nice to see one of Stefano's other daughters.

She is/was the star of the show for many years. Her frequent visits boost ratings. I think with Allison, she misses Days but would be just fine if she left it permanently. She has accomplished/ carved out exactly what she wants to do with her partnership w/ Hallmark. I think their arrangement works because they basically call her up once or twice a year to come in at various times and she says yes or no depending on her schedule. With other actors I think both Days and said actors would need more of a commitment. Ironically it is probably easier to accommodate Allison then say a Victoria or Lamon. While Victoria and Lamon may have other projects they would still "need" Days to be a significant job for them in the midst of other things. Therefore making it hard for the writers to both keep them employed enough but also fit their absences into the overall show.

To be fair, Christian has about 3 aliases. There is also no previous connection between these two characters that would necessarily link them, at least in Shawn's or anyone else's mind. Ironically when Jan mentioned the name I did think of Christian, but not as in a possible father. If true I'm definitely disappointed. I actually liked the potential plot of Shawn having a child with Jan.

What did everyone think of the trailer? I thought it looked kind of lackluster compared to Season 1. The production value seemed show level while season 1 was more polished.
