  1. Here we go. Don't even think about hitting that spoiler button. Gonna stay up late and catch this Gonna make some chili and have just enough gin left for 1 gin and tonic.
  2. Jane Lynch's wink in a Mighty Wind was a great subtle intro to her character. Lol.
  3. How would Jan stab herself and at the same time get rid of the attack weapon? Did she have an accomplice? And if so how would she know the best time to be stabbed so that Steve Martin would come by to save her?
  4. Hmm. I hope it isn't Oscar's father as the killer. What have we only seen him in one episode? That would be lame. However, he is arranging for Oscar to initially be away on the eve of the final episode....... In light of how this seems to be wrapping up, I wish now that the episodes had been longer. It seems that some of the humor may have been put there for filler at this point. I wonder how they are going to pull this all together and have satisfying closure for the secondary characters. (Oscar's dad, Mable's mom, Tina Fey's character etc.) I guess some of that could be picked up in season 2.
  5. I am low key happy no more omelets were wasted this episode. Where was the young neighbor who was friendly to Steve Martin? No one was there to stick up for our detectives?
  6. OK, now we have to worry I am slightly more confused and we have one episode to go. I hope they don't go with a cliff hanger.....
  7. I couldn't watch it until this am. I liked the car ride section and the podcast fans but I felt kind of let down by the rest. Am I the only one who thinks that the police are really really sloppy here? They had taken a toxicology report but never checked it? There must be some corruption right?
  8. I agree on this one. In what scenario will it end well? 1) press finds out and it blows up 2) she maintains the relationship and what sells the team? 3) They break up and he leaves the team (billionaire be damned) But did no one else imagine Rebecca and Samuel L Jackson as a couple? lol.
  9. This whole episode reminds me of the classic French Movie Rififi from the 1950s. Rififi has a heist scene during which the entire late night break in and robbery there is no dialog or music for 30 minutes. I wonder if the writers were aware of that old movie? I did like that it seemed to me that there was just the faintest music during this episode. I can't remember but will check for it later. I hope my family is watching this as the next episode is during our trip to the beach and I would love to discuss this with some of them.
  10. I am thinking if she is not the murderer that she can assist Steve Martin in getting his friends freed. Maybe she comes around next season.
  11. I am going to be a little obtuse here but what are the odds that there are hidden panels at both the apartment and the funeral parlor? I am guessing Teddy got a 2 for one special on hidden passages back in the day.
  12. Wow I just realized that Steve Martin will have to crack this case just like his alter ego Brazzos! Maybe Bassoon lady helps out?
  13. This escalated quickly. I am not sure why Tim Kono would lock his phone with that password. Was it done by someone else? I am a sucker for older humor but Martin Short had me going this episode. I loved the going to Sardis for lunch line and then of course Nathan Lane was going to pay! I also liked the falling off the chair bit at the funeral home. Can you really fence that much jewelry off of dead people? I guess deli slices and hummus don't bring in the bacon. I loved the 78 missed texts and 11 missed phone calls. Whenever something like that happens to me I always get upset because whatever the emergency at that point I have already missed the good parts.
  14. Now we are getting somewhere. We have a new suspect and we are only 4 episodes from the end. What I want to know is was there anyone influencing the police in this investigation or were they just taking the easy way out? Of course if so was that same person involved when her friend got pushed from the top of the building all those years ago? Did they frame Oscar?
  15. "Only Keys in the Park" who will claim the abandoned keys? Season 2 can be exclusively devoted to locked combination locks and misplaced glasses....
  16. I liked this one but as others have stated it was way too short. It barely got going before it all came to an end. Also what exactly does a black market jeweler do? Does he sell stolen Jewelry or is it somehow just sold outside of regulation? Does something like that exist for jewelry? What about ebay etc? Isn't that the same thing? I am a little confused but I am starting to worry a bit with the amount of characters that they are introducing who are not even in the building. I fear it may lead to too many red herrings and we end up with a situation where a whole bunch of loose ends are all tied up neatly in the last couple of episodes. How many episodes are there slated to be anyway? I am going on vacation the week of 10/2 - 10/9 and was hoping that I could discuss this with my family but it may not be over by then.
  17. "Brazzos was one of 3 DVD sets in the prison library. " "God! Prison sounds like hell. Lol. I love the soundtrack coming in at the end. I am 70% sure there was a bassoon in there somewhere.
  18. Lol. Just seeing Martin Short and Steve Martin pictured there makes me chuckle. I wonder if they are in front of or behind white hoodie guy?
  19. Of all the salutations he could have picked. Aloha was not one I would have guessed. Lol
  20. grandmabegum, I can't recall ever seeing Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" sheet music specifically for bassoon. I used to play oboe and would have snapped it up right away! Lol.
  21. I have to admit that I am really enjoying the show so far thru the first 3 episodes. I haven't read any spoilers as I don't think they have given us enough information yet for me to determine. I didn't realize that Tina Fey was in this. I am warming up to Martin Short's character as well. Watching him sitting at his piano with all of that Gut Milk (don't get high on your own stash?) was great. Also I am loving Nathan Lane and I really liked how Martin Short played the part with himself crawling back to Nathan Lane with the Podcast idea - and getting funding. He really delivered. I will have to remember that "it always costs more" Also being a Podcast fan it tickled me when he broke the news to the rest how he had already dropped the first episode. (Who knows what other deals he had to make to keep his power and water on?) "When we have 12 listeners then maybe we can worry?" lol.
  22. That scene with Martin Short on the stairs after he got the text was one of my favorite from this episode.
  23. So they are a "Quantum company" and maybe somehow by using quantum computing - which in real life is largely theoretical - they have harnessed enough power to see back into the past. I have no idea but we will see where it goes.
