7 Little Johnstons - General Discussion
Dibs replied to Meredith Quill's topic in 7 Little Johnstons
Yes; at least Amber gets her kids the treatment they need, unlike Tori Roloff, who seems to be in denial. I'll agree with you there. -
Her cooking videos are comedy gold! You can find them on YouTube without following her, but it was convenient to find them posted here. Her "growing up years of using my imagination"; what? At least we know Amy personally wrote the description!

Canned soup didn't cause Babs' strokes. She had a neurological condition unrelated to diet.
-
Two things... Does no one but me believe these people are all actors? And does anyone else remember the original kitchen island called A TABLE? You could even move it around and sit at it - if you wished - to prepare food and eat, so in every way superior to today's islands.
-
I remember in one of the first episodes, it was said that Babs ate only canned soup! She definitely put on some weight toward the end, but any lady in her 70s is allowed to.

S11.E08: My Big Fat Disastrous Party
Dibs replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
This means I've been watching this show way too long, but I seem to recall Whitey and Todd having joint birthday celebrations, including shared cakes, back when Todd was more in her good graces, so I can see why he'd be surprised and hurt to find that this one was just "my birthday," according to his birthday buddy. And unless Lenny is being fed lines to create controversy, he needs to get up to speed on this before trash-talking my boy Todd. Also, I believe Todd is paid to come over to house- and pet-sit when she travels; I don't think he lives with her. He seems thoroughly fed up with her and speaks his mind, so I can't see cohabitation working out well for them. As for the water volleyball prowess, notice they just showed Whitney spiking, etc., the ball; not the net, whether or not it went over or there even was one, or whether anyone was able to return it, again if there even was anyone, when that was filmed. The "date" was sad, especially when - after Whitney's words of wisdom about how just a drink is a bad sign, but ordering dinner is a sign it's going well - they showed both of them boxing up their entire meals to take home so they could leave, LOL. I thought it was Whitney herself who asked the restaurant guy about his single son when they took Glenn out to cheer him up, er, so Whitney could get yet another free meal? That said, I DO understand Whitney's fear of growing old alone. It's not for sissies... -
S11.E07: My Dad's Big Fat Fabulous Past

They may not have seafood boils in Greensboro, but they surely have them on the coast in Wilmington, where Chase lived. True, he wasn't a real boyfriend, either - just a paid actor - but still! -
I believe she's again working as a nurse in a dialysis clinic (the same job she did before). Maybe it's not TLC money, but nurses do alright these days...

When Whitney grabbed Glenn's phone and started texting Angie back as Glenn (while driving), I knew we were in for a humdinger! -

Liz was "smart" enough to find a way to make Brice marry her. Oh, boy; can you imagine what an expert Amber will now be on child-rearing? Let the t-shirts commence! -
S11.E05: My Big Fat Home Alabama
Dibs replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
It's Alabamer like it's Alasker or Atlanter. It's intentional. She thinks she's being cute. As for the dollhouse, I once spent literally hundreds of hours making one for a yet-to-be born relative, including taking time off work to complete it in time, only to be asked by the expectant mother, "Where am I supposed to put THAT?" It was all I could do not to tell her. Anyway, I was reminded of this by Whitney's, "It'd be funny if you spent all this time on a dollhouse and she likes my stuffed animals that I just bought better" or whatever she said. No, it wouldn't. -

S14.E11: The Case of the Missing Phone

Maybe I'm missing something because I don't own/use a "smart" phone myself (I don't wish to become one of the zombies forever staring at it and compulsively scrolling through it day and night), but if she NEEDED to call her family, she couldn't borrow someone else's phone? They're all constantly in their hands like an extra appendage. I took it to be more the overreaction of an addict losing her fix. As for forgetting it in the vehicle (twice), I call producer antics. See: like an appendage. Also, I like Erin. Guess I'm the only one? -
I'm assuming by "our family's dog," she means her parents' dog. Do they even have a dog? I thought they had two cats: Pine and whatever cat Ember got for Christmas. "...there is still moments amidst..." It's a three-way tie with Amy and Tori for reality TV's most illiterate posts.
-
Her parents are filthy rich, and I suspect they greatly "help" them. Auj may even be a trust fund baby. Hence currently living in their house, buying right next door, and being within walking distance for babysitting. They've always been closer to them than the Roloffs, except for one brief period when Jer hoped to own the farm. Now they seem to be friendly with Zach and Tori again, with whom they were on the outs for years. They say nothing unites like a common enemy!
-
Let's hope her didn't really sew that onto Babe's sweater for his night out.
-
Looks like she could conk herself in the head with that hammer as well as "shoot her eye out" with that nail. Lilah isn't the most coordinated, from what ZiT has told us. And Tori feels the need to laugh like a maniac at everything those kids do. What a mess; calling Matt Paxton! The apple doesn't fall far...

The Human Beings Known as the Arnold-Klein Family
Dibs replied to wrestlesflamingos's topic in The Little Couple
They were really out of control the last couple of seasons, particularly during that trip to Scotland. I always thought Jen was in over her head - no pun intended - with parenting Will and especially when Zoey was added, as they seemed to gang up against her.- 2.2k replies

S11.E03: My Big Fat Alabama Fama
Dibs replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Well, there's Whitney's shi- show; that seems to be Hunter's career at the moment. Hunter was in the process of moving to Atlanta, where there IS a lot of work for actors, when Babs fell ill. He does have actual acting experience. I personally know an actress who claims to be out of work due to the writer's strike. There is no "Frenchman." That was a producer faking a bad accent. Glenn co-signed on Whitney's house, even though she already had years of the show behind her, so he technically owns half of it. Whitney's one-off comment isn't proof to me that Hunter's "being left more in the will." Why is Whitney treating her 77-year-old father like a small child? -
She's also called them "ding-dongs." IMO, Tori has some resentment, anger, and maybe unresolved grief connected to not having the average-size child she (at one time admitted) she wanted and hostility toward Lilah, in particular, for not being her "mini-me," as she's put it. Now she's speech-delayed or whatever, and that doesn't help. As usual, Tori minimizes or denies LP-related issues in her kids. Her breakdown upon learning Lilah would be a little person -- I believe Tori is so dumb that she thought "50/50 chance" means if you get a dwarf the first time, you don't the second time; math-challenged, like Zach, and particular problems with ratios -- was real, and not because she was "worried" about her. Of course it's subconscious, but it presents.

"Daniel vs. The City" rerun. How adorable was he??? The way his female friend kept harping on "room for children if you decide to have a family" made me think she hoped to be considered for that. I also really enjoy seeing NYC in general and Brooklyn in particular featured.

S11.E02: My Big Fat Family Secret
Dibs replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Conventional wisdom/the general consensus is that Whitney is using Ozempic or something similar to lose weight. One doesn't just suddenly lose 40 pounds at age 40 after years of supposedly trying. She'll never admit it, though; it's her Big Fat FABULOUS Life! -
Zach obviously inherited his math skills from his mother.
-
I'm no expert, but - to the best of my lay person's knowledge - bees don't "make hives in the ground." Those would be yellow jackets, a type of wasp, who make NESTS in the ground.
-
Watching a rerun recently, I noticed Zach saying Matt "bought Mom's half of the farm." No, Zach; try to follow along. That half of the farm was jointly owned by Matt and Amy, so what Matt bought was technically HALF of that HALF of the farm, or ONE FOURTH of the farm. You, on the other hand, tried to buy an actual half of the farm for just a little more than Amy was paid for her fourth of the farm. This all comes down to Zach -- and teacher Tori -- being too dumb to understand simple math!!!
