The lawnmower is going to stay mired in the ground when that place floods, which it probably does constantly from that ditch/culvert, er, "creek." Do we know if it's in a flood plain? Do THEY??? Maybe that's why, as Chris joked, there are abandoned cars parked in all the back yards; once there, they couldn't free themselves of the muck and mud! That place is an accident waiting to happen for three dwarf children. Congrats on the $1 million revenge buy, Dumb and Dumber! Nose cut off to spite face much? It's pathetically obvious this is Zach's idea of "recreating" Roloff Farms "on his own" (probably expecting Matt's help), which is laughable and, as I said, pathetic... That these parents don't seem at all concerned that it's not only filled with hazards, but that there are apparently no neighbors and thus potential friends for the kids to play with (coming from a private cul-de-sac with what they described as great people all around them) is just scary.

Most of us understood perfectly what he meant by that comment; don't force your martyred self to show up somewhere and then be an a$$ to us in front of the kids. You're more than welcome here, but conduct yourselves as civilized adult parents. Looks like he's welcome to visit them if he doesn't mind being treated like a leper.

It makes me wonder; does a lot of sweating occur under those Biker Chic leathers? I'm sorry, but it irks me how Amy is suddenly "Grandmother of the Year" when, until Caryn fell out of favor with the miffed royal couple, it seemed that family couldn't be bothered with her nor she, with her grandchildren. She must've studied footage of Cha-Cha playing with Jackson the past few seasons for pointers on being the "fun" Mimi.

Wow; their new property looks amazing! Kudos for them for being mature and patient about their "death of a dream" (of course, if Jeremy had actually, HELLO, worked on and learned the farm business instead of flitting around in CA and Bend being a free spirit and having to hold Auj's hand every step of the way through childbirth and raising the kids - same with Zach and Tori there - or even, GASP, gotten together with his brothers on this, the dream need not have died) and moving forward in a smart and measured way instead of reacting like a couple of spoiled brats. Yes, I'm looking at you, Z&T. It's actually very cool that they have a view of "their" trestle from the deck and it's within walking (or mule-riding) distance of both grandparents' homes. This really seems "meant to be." Well done!!!

M&C have been snow-birding (spending the winter in AZ where Matt's pain is less) for several years now; that's nothing new. But not seeing J&L every. single. day. at the farm which Z&T have apparently been using as their personal babysitter, day care, and playground IS new and I'm sure that's very hurtful, as it's meant to be. If Matt's parents are living in the same community, that's awesome! Good for them.

How can J&I afford a professional photo shoot? Was this a gift from Amy??? I have a feeling these "kids" are going to make out like bandits in the ongoing competition to be the favorite divorced parent vying to see the grandchildren.

All Episodes Talk: Small World, Big Lives
Dibs replied to NewOrleansLady's topic in Little People Big World
Honestly, this episode was hard to watch, as much as I love a good snark. If ANY of this is real as opposed to "reality tee-vee," this is a tragedy unfolding before our eyes with little J being deprived of not only the people and places he has loved for the last year of his life (probably the only one he'll vaguely remember up until now), but also a positive role model in his successful and positive little person grandfather. Did Z&T REALLY have to drag him away just as he was having fun with Grandpa and Cha-Cha; he could go play in the sandbox for a minute because why; Tori had to get home to wash her hair? Matt nailed it with "they don't want him to have too much fun at the farm anymore." As for Tori plopping Lilah on the marble counter above the tile floor like a sack of flour, that could mean one of two bad things: Tori is a negligent mother and/or she knows Lilah won't move a muscle. Is there a reason other than vengeance that Tori had to hold both kids far away on the other side of the room when Grandpa visited; does he have cooties? Re: Jackson's surgery, when Zach is rightly freaking out about having dropped the ball by delaying it, all Tori can say is that "it's the lesser of the two procedures." Yeah, and it quite likely won't even work. Why tell Jackson "we're going to fix your crooked legs" when no change will be visible for years, if ever? And it's "fibula," Tori; not "fibia"... Then when Matt makes a second drive up in two days to gift them a $10k mower, she can't even walk outside and say "hello" and "thank you"? Finally, as for Amy, she is LOVING this redemption arc! She didn't even know where J's things were kept when Lilah was born because Z&T didn't approve of her, and now she's the GOAT (greatest of all time grandma). Nice job imitating Cha-Cha's playfulness. I can also see her loving rubbing it in Matt's face every time she sees the kids and they don't going forward. This level of meanness is just unpleasant. Ugh! Is everyone clear on Zach's offer? From what I understand, he offered just slightly more (for appreciation/inflation) than what Amy was paid by Matt. Does everyone understand that Amy and Matt CO-OWNED that property? So Matt only bought out Amy's SHARE of the value; that's HALF the value. Therefore, the actual value was TWICE that four years ago, and house values have doubled or tripled since then, especially in the PNW, making the property worth roughly 4-5 times what Matt paid Amy. He got three current appraisals (in writing, I'm sure), averaged them, THEN took some off the top as a family discount. Zach's offer wasn't even in the same galaxy as its true value, and he's pi$$ed. Although we've gone astray with posts about J&I and Matt's parents on the episode thread, I'm happy to see and hear that they're all together in Arizona. Enjoy!!! -
Where to begin with these two stooges??? It's abundantly clear that they intend to blackmail Matt regarding future access to his grandchildren. "Things are going to be different than they were this past year" and "he's gonna have to work a lot harder to maintain a relationship with his grandkids now" and "does he want to be a businessman or a grandpa" and "okay, so I ASKED for the mower, technically, but I think he was willing to give me that because of how the farm thing went down." If I had ever had any respect for these bumpkins, which I didn't, I would have lost it with this ongoing display of vengeance and petulance. I'll bet you dimes to donuts they're going to expect Matt to help them sort out that hazardous waste landfill they're calling their "farm" as penance for the sin of not giving Zach his "birthright." And when he drives an hour and half's distance with equipment and manpower, just MAYBE he will get to glimpse Prince J and Princess Li from across the room. Personally, I'd tell them to go pound sand in that Roloff Farm knockoff sandbox Zach thinks he's going to build.

But if you have brown hair, you are a brunette. Does Tori even have brown hair?
-
I agree; her legs look a little heavier, and she may be hiding a gut under that shirt, but her arms are nice and toned, and she's certainly not obese or even overweight. At least she's going to the gym to keep the menopause spread in check, unlike THIS chubby older lady!

7 Little Johnstons - General Discussion
Dibs replied to Meredith Quill's topic in 7 Little Johnstons
Late to the party, but I disagree about Trent. He clearly truly loves ALL his kids and is just concerned for them. Re: the driving, I think he was just afraid she was learning some dangerous habits and was frustrated. I haven't seen a horrible temper from him the entire time I've watched. More likely Princess Liz is completely unaccustomed to anything but unadulterated praise from her parents and the world in general. Agree Amber has major issues. It's only reasonable to assume that SOME little people, particularly those who didn't know any others (like Amber), might have adjustment problems; life as a dwarf can't be easy when you're the only one in your family, and then she was rejected by her bio dad. She probably has a personality disorder (narcissistic, etc.), but that's not Anna's fault, and she really needs to find a new whipping boy. I also find her giddiness around first Alex and now YULE-say kind of creepy; she acts like she has crushes on them or something! Maybe JOE-se can go live with Jen Arnold next since she's also a LP physician and speaks proper English. And, yes, it seems Liz inherited her mother's callousness toward family pets. Thank goodness for Anna's kind heart and willingness to take in the cat Liz decided she no longer wanted, along with the dog that mysteriously disappeared (that seems to be a running theme with this family). I worry about Cruiser being alone too much, but as least he's living with the nicest member of this entire family! I also agree her relationship with her aunt is sweet. That's probably been her only saving grace having to grow up with Ice Queen Amber! -
...and how Chris gets at Amy, too! I remember Chris waxing poetic about how he'll miss the farm and Amy warning him to cut it out.
-
Removing family pictures...coffee cup collections (including drowned flies)...clown statuary... It's good that they had a responsible renter in there before selling. Matt said she - the new farm manager - was overseeing whatever repairs that needed to be done around the house.
-
It was obvious they were waiting to be paid to announce it, but it comes as no surprise. But I was kind of shocked to hear them say in a YouTube video that they weren't necessarily done with having kids. I thought they had said they were and had probably gotten themselves fixed this time, but this is Z&T we're talking about; changing their minds is their prerogative! Maybe Zach will get that dwarf soccer team of his after all before Tori gets that "mini me." I also agree that Z&T don't have the charisma to carry the show. Jackson might, and that's probably what they're counting on...

Probably because right after dramatically announcing that he wanted the farmhouse, he told Tori they weren't moving to the farm after all, ever, no way Jose. She was like, "Wait, what; never? Why?" and he replied that he didn't want his father telling him what to do (like Matt doesn't know how to run the farm). How long are people supposed to wait around for Amy and Zach to make up their minds about things? He sure is his mother's son! As for the dinner, I don't think it was that big a deal; if Matt is even insulin dependent (he may be Type II managed by pills), he would just adjust accordingly; diabetics do it all the time. But putting mushrooms and onions in there was definitely a passive-aggressive AH move on "Little Kitchen's" part (fun fact: Zach also famously hates mushrooms). I don't believe Chris giving tours is "just for the show"; he has plenty of free time, a flexible schedule, is always up for making more money to play the market with, and is at least as in love with the farm as he is with Amy -- or with Matt, as the case may be. -

Dibs replied to NewOrleansLady's topic in Little People Big World
Exactly; why couldn't Amy have simply sold it to Zach for that amount instead of to Matt??? Because Z&T were being wishy-washy. It's easy to be generous with someone else's money! Also, IIRC, Amy was horrified at Zach's sudden interest in becoming the next Roloff "farmer." -
I thought I read that Matt not only repaired all the structures on that part of the farm but also restored the kitchen to average-height size, but I could be wrong. Buyers often tear out the whole kitchen and redo it anyway, so maybe he was advised by realtors to leave it as it.
-
So it looks like Chris is all about taking over Zach's guided tours of the farm. He's going to sink his hooks into that place one way or the other! Maybe Matt will leave it to him?
-
I, for one, believe Matt sincerely did want to hand down the farm to someone in the family, but unfortunately none of the three boys did what was necessary (study, learn, observe, shadow, work, or earn enough money to buy it at fair market value), and Matt now has his own debt to Amy, retirement, and nursing care as an aging disabled person to consider, as well as his three other kids who deserve equity. Oh, and Zach: yes, the seller "dictates" terms, even if you think "he's dictated too much for too long"; that's how real estate works. The seller is in charge of the deal and can take it or leave it, especially in a seller's market. Zach's entitlement is only outdone by his ignorance. I love his pouty face and petulant crossing of his arms. Based on what Matt said, not only was Zach's offer laughable in today's market, but he wanted Matt to continue doing all the work of the farm while Z&T watch their kids play on the farm. Matt wants to RETIRE. As for the farm "not being successful without the show," why not? Plenty of pumpkin farms are. We have a successful one in my small town. Not on TV. As for Caryn sitting in on the meeting, she had every right to as Matt's life partner going forward and the manager of said farm forever. But it wouldn't surprise me if they were already secretly married; they've dropped enough "joking" hints about it, and doing it quietly with dignity would be more their style than a royal wedding.

That reminded me of Whitney Way Thore on MBFFL "winning" her weight-lifting competition or placing second when there were only two contestants or whatever it was; a TLC ploy. Indeed Zach does have spinal stenosis and a herniated disc and now three (it appears) dwarf children facing surgeries he'll have to carry around at some point. He was lucky that his reabsorbed with injections, but paralysis and surgery were looming, and Tori was freaking out about it. Now he's aggravating the dormant condition by lifting weights and blaming MATT for the pain? Please! Also, is he somehow cheating on that weight limit by being so short (most 125-pound average-size adult men would be very skinny), and did he even hold that lift? I saw him straining, leaning, swaying, trembling, the support men grabbing it, then Zach being declared the winner. How about letting Jackson see that LP male role models "can achieve goals" by letting him hang with Matt who is amazing? Or at least see Zach act like a grown-up, take his lumps maturely, and get a real job... -

Yes; they never would've made this move without a new "babysitting squad," although since neither of them works, not sure why they need one. -

Tori said her parents basically moved to Oregon just to be near them and would be moving back to Washington now, so I assume they'll be the new full-time babysitters...
