Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Depression is dark and cruel. Glad this thread is all about the happy. Wishing David and Christine many happy years together. -

He mentioned being a substitute teacher. Many elementary teachers are women who may have small children. Little kids get sick a lot and a reliable substitute is often valuable. He may be doing that and could work fairly regularly. -

Bangkok to Hanoi- Billy was a punk, but they were kind of cute together. Assume she never learned to solo on motorbike. Was hoping she would. -

Netherlands couple were cute and didn't bug. Glad he put her needs above his since she was working from home. -

FFS Whitney- the word "Alabama" ends with an a, not an r. Just like when she and the barnacles went to the "clurb". -

Had to watch Juu and Julia after reading comments. I get that it's all producer-driven set up- but Julia was pretty unlikable in her demands. She's been in Siem Reap for awhile- she must realize that many Cambodians are short compared to Americans. -
S11.E04: My Big Fat Weigh-In
BAForever replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Way too many storylines- Glenn's grief, Lennie, Alabama daughter, Whitney bossing everyone around, NoBS water aerobics app, Hunter the slob. I want more of Todd's snark. -
What could these 2 possibly say that I have any interest in? *crickets*

Sibling relationships are complicated and often changing. I was an asshole to several of my sibs and it was reciprocated. We figured it out as young adults and continue that now. That being said @Orcinus orca- agree that Leon didn't seem to have the close relationships with the oldest cohort. Then again, they were Meri's child and that may have influenced any closeness.

Agree with your thoughts @zamp33. But would any of the original 3 have left if Robyn hadn't come into the marriage or just suffered in silence? I know couples who stay together just because it's too scary to start over or be alone. Kody's treatment of the original 3 may have been better with no Robyn and her kids, so would they have stuck it out? Love the thoughts everyone has on this.

I spend way too much time thinking about these people. Family dynamics are constantly evolving as careers change, children grow, and priorities shift. The oldest Brown cohort still seem mostly close. The middles aren't as defined- but it seems like most of Janelle's and Christine's kids feel family bonds although not with all siblings. Leon has always been a bit of an outlier- but Robyn's kids were never a part of the originals- Robyn and the separate houses made that so. For families to thrive, as situations change so must families. Christine and Janelle lost their roles with the move to LV. Meri lost hers with the divorce. If Robyn hadn't slithered her way in- would Christine would still Earth Mother, would Janelle have a career and would Meri be queen? Interesting to speculate.

Remember Big Love? Why didn't they all sit down to a weekly/monthly meeting with calendars and discuss where Kody is, big events he needs to attend, etc. They copied several plotlines from Big Love (the quilt)- why not this one? Oh wait- it makes too much sense

Yes @ArtFossil- I commented on that upthread. Every time the 4 of them were together, a kid was being fussy. I just thought the cameraperson/editor disliked them- but maybe that's all that they saw. -
I liked them. I always listen to commute times. I get that many commuters don't drive to work 5 days a week, but an hour each way three or more days- yikes. I'd take a less nice house over 2 hours in the car.

Hey @rhofmovalley- sure you're not a HH producer creeping into our forum?

So is she saying there is an "array" of foods? Like a wide variety? Goodness sake. So she gets $$ from HelloChef for shilling their meal plans as an influencer? HelloFresh- get a refund.

I wanted to like Ho Chi Minh City couple- there seemed to be some tension between them per usual. Giving up her optometry practice was huge- bet they are only there a few years. Cracked up at the scenes of children misbehaving- that was unusual, and it was more than once shot. Cranky toddlers can melt down- surprised it made the show. Agree that dad had a good housing allowance- the shorter commute would have pushed me to choose #2. -

Gosh I love this sh******. I realize Glen is 77, but he really seems to have aged recently. Losing Babs was devastating. Going along with that thought, Glen just seems out of it in his speech, mobility and thoughts. Really hope Whit isn't pushing him in this reconciliation. And I don't believe for one second that Whit cleaned the whole house with Lenny. She's lazy AF. They should sell the house- Glen shouldn't be there alone, it's too big. More to unpack later. -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Absolutely @Joan of Argh- but I applaud her for finally telling Kody the truth. Christine was calm and rational. Janelle is all emotion and fire, and I'm loving it. -
I totally agree with you on this @Pixilicious- but was wondering if Kody is so enamored with the loyal wife and her loyal kids that he almost has amnesia about the other 13. He didn't know how old Truely was last season, he forgot Gabe's birthday. He never mentions the oldest children cohort. It's like he is father to 5, not 18. So glad Christine's and Janelle's kids seem to be close. I wrote years ago on this forum that any younger kids should look to Logan and Hunter as positive male role models.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Welcome back @AZChristian. I recognize your name from other forums. Yes, the show is 22 or so months behind. Yes, we all know what happens to Janelle, Christine and Meri- but watching Robyn dry-cry and Kody implode and use all kinds of words incorrectly is glorious. -
Fixed it for you @Joan of Argh. No doubt you are correct.
-
So many insightful comments- so much to unpack. Will try not to repeat popular already said comments, but my 2 cents 1. Janelle is hurt and sad and embarrassed but she's going to be ok and happier. 2. Meri knows the score and will be happier soon. 3. Think it was Gabe who said something about Janelle's kids got along with ALL of Christine's kids- Paeden and Gwen included? Hope so. 4. What Kody has done to Savannah is unforgivable. Why doesn't Robyn step up and tell him to contact her since she's the best communicator in the family. Gosh, I love to hate-watch Kobyn.

Small Talk: About Big People
BAForever replied to Meredith Quill's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Agree about Babs dress- that was way too intrusive- you have your daughter's paid friend wear your recently deceased wife's dress? My husband wouldn't recognize my wedding dress and we haven't been married nearly as long as Glen and Babs.
