  1. Was caught in a rainstorm while driving tonight so ducked into a Starbucks to wait it out a few minutes. Was reading here about Sal's baby shower and, to kill time decided to check Baby's R Us Baby Shower registry (sorry, do not know how to link) and, lo and behold, he is registered for 61 items, but so far only has received less than 5 things. Guess he was hoping to really rake in some stuff! Should we all chip in and send him a baby rattle? I'm very amused
  2. Hmmm...do Norville and Cupp have the same agent? Lol
  3. Regarding the Muppets appearance...it's a free commercial for ABC/Disney. Article excerpt from CNN: (EW.com ) -- Is it easier being green or going viral? Disney has launched a new digital series starring the Muppets in support of "The Muppets Most Wanted" release on Blu-ray and DVD August 12. The series, called "Disney Drive-On with The Muppets," follows the characters' adventures in the movie industry and as they interact with various celebrities. Disney has already released episode 1 of the six-part series, in which Pepe the King Prawn is left in charge of the office and struggles to network with the stars. The remaining episodes, debuting on Fridays, will be available on Disney Movies Anywhere
  4. Her next big endorsement deal might be with jenny Craig or other weight loss company if they see a market in attracting diabetic and prediabetic customers. The question would be, does any company want to associate with sherri with her messy divorce case coming up? I'd the answer is yes, we could see in a year or so a campaign about how you can gain weight during "times of stress" (job loss, surrogacy mess, single momness) and the company can help, you lose weight.
  5. Granted , I don't watch the show anymore except on rare occasions and keep up on it's happenings via this forum and the media, but I realized that despite how wacky sherrie acts ( she's a comedian you know) and how much personal info she spews on TV and on Twitter, she rarely mentions her 2 younger sisters or shares photos of them. Wonder if they are diabetic as well or are married. She's talked a bit about her nieces and nephews and shared a picture of one during their recent visit with her. Nice of her to invite them to her home and take a niece to work with her to see behind the scenes while she still had access to the network! The sisters must have asked her to be discrete and not share pics, wtx. Not so with Jenny's family.
  6. What an incredible gift to the public and beautiful tribute to their daughter to create the hospital! I look forward to seeing the movie. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Sal recently tweeted a "blast from the past" photo of himself. Wonder who the woman he is seated next to is and if it's a subtle slap to sherrie. Who is the woman he is seated next to? Is that the suspicious ex that he asked sherri to have as a bridesmaid in the wedding?
  8. I know any of our homes could be invaded by a crazed gun man, but I think if you are in public eye you have more of a chance of attracting a stalker or wacko. Security companies will work with anyone to provide perimeter weakness analysis, alarms, home systems and safe rooms, trained pets, training, etc. to help celebrities ( or anyone) feel safer. Sherrie and Jenny may well, have had past instances that have made them feel vulnerable - a gun is not necessarily the first option but if that's one thing they choose hopefully they have proper training. When Sherri sells the house she should probably move into a secure building or gated community for peace of mind. So guys from dancing with the stars were on today? Shall we place bets on whether Jenny will be on that show in the next season or two?
  9. It is tough to tell sometimes, FormerNun. I have a Japanese friend who often refers to herself jokingly as "The OP" (Oriental Princess) when we are clothes shopping. We're having lunch next week and I plan to ask about the Asian vs. oriental thing.
  10. Sal had tweeted that baby LJ would arrive on the 28 th. Not unusual for a surrogate to have a scheduled date for induction ( or c- section) so I hope a healthy infant was born somewhere! Wonder how quickly Sal can take the baby home from the hospital...and I'll bet he'll have the services of a Nanny (professional or one of his "friends"that could use the gig) that Sherrie will pay for while they have joint access to financial accounts until the divorce gets sorted out.
  11. Didn't see todays show, but checked her twitter and she says her last day at work/studio is Aug 7 but her farewell show will air Aug 11 which is a Monday. So it'll be a prerecorded deal and the cohosts get that Monday off! (When is Jenny's last day?)
  12. Point taken...sorry....thanks for educating me on that! Bottom line, I really was impressed with Pak!
  13. 1. SE Cupp looks a bit like Meredith Viera's so that's kind of a good thing. Reminds one of the old View. 2. SE Cupp doesn't do a good job of providing facts to back up her point. Just throwing stuff out there and getting into word salad mode reminds one of Hasselbeck. That is. To a good thing. 3. I hope they are seriously considered that oriental woman (I had never heard of her, last name Puk?) who they had on a few weeks back. I caught a couple shows she was on and was impressed.
  14. The fact that he hasn't made his twitter private, after his comment about wanting privacy regarding the baby and their situation, is interesting. What little crap he posts is definitely meant for public consumption ... Wonder if his lawyer suggest he go private but he refused.
  15. Something just sits wrong with me regarding putting someone in a wholesome, children's story musical play whose public life is kind of messy right now (another divorce, surrogacy scandal, some manic behavior as a cohost, etc.). Hope once the legal facts and court room stuff is over the facts make her look a little better than she does now.
  16. I think it will be fun to watch Whoopi and Rosie together and hope they work well together and the new season and new version of the show is a hit. I read that the current show generates a little over $100 million a year in advertising dollars. A more popular show would command more! If they synch well together, ABC might want to keep them both once Whoopi's last year of the contract is over, but it all boils down to money. They'd be the two highest paid cohosts so if ABC though they could get away with maintaining high ratings and paying less, they might not renew Whoopie for someone cheaper. Or she may have tired of the ”daily" grind of being on the show, have other projects in the works to pursue. And might not be interested in contract renewal unless given a huge pay increase. She's got a year to orchestrate future projects. I wonder IF Whoopi's contract was also up this year, as Sherri's was, if TPTB would have opted to not renew her asked her as well and gone into the new season with Rosie and an all new group of cohosts.
  17. With pretaped shows on Fridays, sherri and jenny only have 8 real work days left where they need to show up at the studio. They are probably stocking up on any free items they can scavenge from the makeup room, clothes racks, etc.
  18. Sherri probably wants to eventually move back to Southern California when the divorce is finalized and all the dust has settled. Closer to Hollywood where she can get bit parts, many of her girlfriends are there, better weather to deal with, close to Jeffrey's bio dad, etc. However, while she is still on the east coast, I don't begrudge her for hustling for any gigs she can get. I'm surprised by the Broadway play idea and not sure if she'd be right for the part, but it would certainly be an easy commute for her!
  19. Yea, Sal was I'm sure a big factor in getting Lexithecanecorso but now no longer wants the expense and work of caring for a dog or having to make sure the place he is renting allows dogs. He's focused on his baby, which arrives Sunday, and in getting an 18 year stream of income to care for LSjuniorthesonihavealwayswanted and, hopefully, alimony to keep himself on easy street. Honestly, I hope he is a good father to the child. I also, hope the child is healthy and has no special needs issues because I don't think Sal would deal with that well.
  20. Not sure what thread for this topic, but has there been any information on whether there will be a "goodbye" show for either Sherrie or Jenny? Not sure if Jenny deserves one since she's been there for one season. Sherries been there a while, but of course, so had Elizabeth and she basically said "bye" and was gone the next day.
  21. Sounds like the camp is on top of it. Jenny may have known about the "buddy" approach when she brought it up on air , but didn't mention it, because she got more attention by throwing the situation out there for discussion. I have no doubt that jenny and sherry sent their kids to a pricey camp that deals with this situation regularly, had sit down meetings with camp administrators to review all their concerns (special needs, confidentiality, etc), and the camp would have done their best to make it a positive experience for all kids. Still think jenny made it public to perpetuate her image as a "protective mama bear" and we will be seeing a book ( unless her new hubby is really rich and she can reduce her workload ) about helping a special needs kiddo deal with adolescence.
  22. Do sleep away camps allow kids to leave to be with parents on the weekends?
  23. I'm sure the camps an exclusive one and is on top of things and would not have accepted two celebrity, high profile kids ( didn't I read on here both jeffrey and Evan are attending) that might need some extra attention without feeling they could work with them. Did jenny get an email( that's what I bought I read) or a phone call. The email just could have been a camp administrators honest response about how he was adjusting, interacting with other kids, etc. Jenny choose to talk about it on national TV and make "special needs adolescents adjusting to the mainstream" a thing....I think it paves the way for her to she write a book about it in the near future!
  24. Springtime, I can't get the link thing to work, but I googled the full name of the foundation in quotes and read through a few of the sites that came up. The dandb.com site is where I got what I cut and pasted above. Also read in other sites about founder Steve J. Hope this helps.
  25. Don't know if she really made the camp look "shady". I'd bet she researched the camp up, down and sideways and also talked with administrators about her son before placing him there - maybe the camp even assures parents they are skilled at helping kids fit in. The email she got from counselors was probably an honest assessment of how he was doing. Her public comments were almost a gut check for ALL parents about if and how they've talked with their own kids about accepting others and treating kids well. I know it's difficult for parents of challenged kids to place them into mainstream programs and for other kids to understand and know how to interact. I see it in my son's classroom and Scout troop. It can be hard at first, but then heartwarming when the kids "get it". Not all do...there always seems to be a small group of "mean kids".
