  1. We don't know yet what "that way" means. I've seen the character list of Gracepoint and I don't see any new major characters. "Different ending" doesn't necessarily mean different murderer, it couldn't be any more vague.
  2. Very entertaining show, and it was nice to see TGNS restored to its original one hour format.
  3. I wonder if Professor Rapist is still running around Savannah with that knife in his back.
  4. There is still way more mileage out of the Spy Husband/Kate Morgan/Jordan Reed story. Would love to see Kate's husband exonerated, only to have Jordan or Kate herself implicated.
  5. When I saw the recent revival on Broadway I thought how could they bring this to tv/film? Is it more effective listening to Bruce Niles telling us about his boyfriend's body being packed in a hefty bag or is it more effective watching it actually happen? I really liked the stage play, it had a ferocity that was hard to ignore, I remember thinking Joe Mantello, who erupts volcanically, has to do this eight times a week, he's going to need some help. I don't know if a TV movie can pack that intensity. Of course the movie is flawed, that goes without saying, but that doesn't mean I didn't go through a box of Kleenex. From the beginning it bothered me, why not include the lines from the poem by Auden that inspired the title? Howabout an opening title sequence with credits for actors and crew and production? Nope, just the stark title of the movie. There was a couple of things I enjoyed about the movie: Mark Ruffalo's performance was perfectly paced, his Ned Weeks was simultaneously exasperating, lacerating, loving, warm, pushy, obnoxious and sad. Two words: Joe Mantello. This is the performance of the movie. I know Matt Bomer is going to get press for his physical transformation but Mantello's staggering, heartbreaking performance is the stuff for which awards are made. There were things that didn't work: the character of Dr Brookner was screaming out for a better actress than Julia Roberts. Ellen Barkin in the Broadway production was ten times as galvanizing as Miss Roberts. The movie is just way too long, it really needs some editing. Is it worth seeing? Absolutely, I admire Ryan Murphy's work here, but that isn't stopping me from imagining a version directed by a less heavy handed director.
  6. It definitely wasn't. I was hoping she would ask how long it would take for Josh to grow some hair on his head. No way! I think the point is even bad publicity is good publicity. Ditto! Reminded me of Jessica Lange in the first episode of American Horror Story: Coven.
  7. And on a purely shallow level, what a good looking guy!
  8. Lucy did mention Damian Smith to Bobbie right after the NB.
  9. It seemed to me they thought of each other certainly as Den's kids, but not necessarily as brother and sister.
  10. Your mileage may vary, but I see nothing wrong with placing a $200 wager in a category you know is not your strong suit.
  11. Bad season, way too much with the kids, but great last two episodes. Of course they would've been much better without the kids.
  12. I thought I heard a bang. Maybe it was the foghorn of the ship coming in for the drug deal.
  13. I hope so too, just not too soon. Stephanie wreaked havoc for decades before her backstory with Ann and Pam were explored. I loved that scene with Quinn and Wyatt, I never saw an introspective vulnerable side of Quinn before. I like stories about women whose desires don't mesh with their actions. I've been a fan of RS's since her days on Loving, she could certainly handle the material. Undoubtedly!
  14. And why didn't he attach the silencer? It was in his pocket for Chrissakes!
  15. He's only trying to quit the mob to appease his girlfriend, he's not trying to be a good person, no matter what he says. And besides, it's only Luke. He hasn't called Luke "Luke" to his face while they were alone ever.
  16. Boudrea has already forged the president's signature on a document, that's pretty sinister. I know the last time I was posing as a Ukranian immigrant sleeping with a tech whiz, trying to get his singular technology to give to my terrorist mother, the only thing I could think of was eyebrow definition!
  17. Liam: Your crazy ex just locked me in a steam room! $Bill: Wait a minute, Katie locked you in a steam room? I love this!
  18. TJ never knew the real Luke. What would he have to compare him to?
  19. Has it been established that Levi is Faux Luke's enforcer?
  20. Would love to see Julia shatter Arthur's record. Got half of FJ. Damn you Marvin Gardens!
  21. I'm not so blinded by my hate for Ridge that I can't see your point, and it is valid, but Ridge has been pissing me off for twenty years, long before $Bill even came to Los Angeles.
  22. Trinity was gorgeous, she also couldn't get Chaz Bono's name right during his interview. She deserved to go home.
  23. I can't see how anyone could write a character like Ridge and expect anyone to root for him. They must be intentionally writing him as a villain. If they are writing him as a selfish, self-seeking, hypocritical, flip-flopping asshole, then the writers are doing a great job!!!
  24. I sure do, she's a teen-age girl with a target on her back, half her family has been slaughtered. Either she kills or she's going to be killed.
