Color me jealous! I'm still waiting on my turn (where I'm from, it's by age range), but I'm mostly grateful for having beaten covid; me and my parents all had it in january this year and we're here. Thankfully, they were vaccinated last week and when my turn comes, I can be grateful once more.

I'm re-watching The Mentalist and Rory's classmate, Francie Jarvies, is on season 4, episode 20, as a school drama teacher. Yesterday, I saw Luke on CSI Miami, season 10, episode 5, as someone working for the government to take down a mexican assassin. Paris-Liza Weil was also in Private Practice, season 4, episode 15, as a woman who suffers from multiple personality disorder. She was really good. Lauren was Keanu Reeve's girlfriend in the movie Sweet November. I kind of lost track of everybody's work outside GG, probably the only one I see most is Melissa, cause she does a lot of movies.

Right?! I had those in mind and they're rather new, but there's gotta be more 'lonely' out there!
-
Lonely - Diplo & Jonas Brothers Lonely - Justin Bieber & Benny Blanco Lonely - Maluma & Jennifer Lopez P.S: you guys, I looked back the pages, 'lonely' hasn't popped up yet.

And patients in an aquarium gave me House vibes. Who knows, Castle, Buffy, Chicago PD and the very own Grey's Anatomy, all started out as mid-season. Granted, they are from other networks, but here it's Sophia Bush and, well, that's it. I'd take a wild guess on the show hitting at least 3 seasons. On a personal note, I'm not usually drawn to medical dramas, my only ones are Grey's and House, but I know I'll be watching Good Sam just because of Sophia.

Just found official trailer on youtube. I may be seeing things, but that hospital looks a lot like Seattle Grace to me (aka Greys Sloan).

Smallville. Instead of telling the story of Clark Kent becoming Superman, turned into a soap opera about Clark and his depressing love life. I remember losing sleep due to my level of frustration. The final straw was Lana Lang arc in mid-season 8, I just felt sorry for all characters and actors with that disaster. And the show managed to keep on going up till season 10, quite a feat. Might be unpopular opinion, but that Gabby/Casey ship was stomach turning for me, zero chemistry. And when I thought it couldn't get worse, there he is, going for cute as a button Sylvie. Out of the Chicago franchise, PD is the only one I really follow, and that season 8 is testing my tolerance, big time.

You're not alone, though my reason was Jessica Alba's Dark Angel show, also cancelled by Fox after only two seasons. Not cool. I also remember the show being set in the year 2019; we're past it and humans are yet to be genetically enhanced and carry barcodes (at least that I know of). And a really good "Shondaland" one, Off the Map, that didn't even make a whole first season, was cancelled mid-season with a lot of unresolved issues. I kept hoping for Shonda Rhimes to revive it, but never happened, guess it's one of those that never got a fair shot.

To be fair, I was overthinking all of this, to make sure I posted accordingly, but it crossed my mind a remix of a song, whether it'd be valid in topic here. But then again, I'm not even sure remix and cover are two different things, I'll google sometime. Like for instance, the 3 Dreams I listed before, the last one, by David Guetta, uses the original lyrics, but not the entirety of them, his version is quite mixed up.

Got it! Another one, then: As long as you love me - Back Street Boys As long as you love me - Justin Bieber Add one more to the Dreams list - Gabrielle.

See you again - Wiz Khalifa Feat Charlie Puth

So, just to see if I got this: the goal is to find songs with the same title, same lyrics, and not necessarily cover of a previous one, right?

Gotta love Jennifer Lopez! Camila Cabello's song Crying in the Club samples Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle, with a "ohhh, ohhh...." in the middle of it. Puff Daddy's feat Faith Evans I'll be missing you is a reference to The Police's Every breath you take, especially during the chorus. 99 souls' song chorus The girl is mine is a reference to Brandy and Monica's The boy is mine.

Not only puffer, but also sweatshirts and jackets. As soon as the temperature drops in Chicago (which happens around episode 9 and forth), the hoodies come out. Maybe they expect us to keep cutting them slacks for all basic mistakes, under the pretext that it’s a TV show. I remember Chandler in Friends explaining why he and Joey liked watching Baywatch so much, it was never about their jobs, securing the bay and all, but rather the pretty people running around. Ironically, guess he might be right afterall.

Oh man, Grey's is just bizarre, everyone either leaves or dies. I didn't think it would survive after Derek's death, but there it is, alive and kicking. I wouldn't be surprised if Meredith left and the show still kept going.
-
Absolutely! My ultimate ship is Meredith and Grey, no other will ever top them, in my book. I was born in 87, so I was a teen when Smallville aired and like most teenagers, I was driven by passion, hence my long hours spent on forum feuds, bashing other characters and ships. Nowadays, I know better than to engage in online disputes when I see someone painting characters I love in the worst light possible. Back then, I couldn't fathom how someone liked Chloe Sullivan, especially cause she doesn't exist in the superman mythos, now I get she had a huge fanbase and people had the all the right in the world to support and care for her. Funny thing is that I stopped watching Smallville in mid-season 8, the Lana Lang arc that wrapped up her story made me mad to no end. I went back to watch seasons 9 and 10 like, 5 years later, just for the sake of it.

I might be off base and not trying to make excuses for hair all over the place, but if the point is to prevent from grabbing, I guess those hoodies that they all wear on a regular basis, including the men, would pose the same kind of danger, since it's something loose on the back of their necks.

Shipper Wars: Favorite And Least Favorite TV Couples
Lya167 replied to mstaken's topic in Everything Else TV
Yep, that happens on a present show I enjoy, just creepy. It gets another level of ick when the actors actually hook up in real life. Anyway, one of the best ships I've ever been on board with was Meredith and Derek, from Grey's Anatomy, that love was something else. I'm not a 'cry to fiction' kind of person, but I cried when she unplugged him, felt like part of my life was fading away there. Now the show keeps trying to find someone else for her and it's one failure after another. -
I remember back then that there were three main fandoms, clois, clana, chlark and each hating the other two, talk about loathsome... And I used to spend hours on another board sucked into that ship war/character bashing, it was insane. I'm older now, learned my lesson, but I see the same thing happening today on other shows I enjoy, it's a pity. I only tolerated Lana because she was DC canon, but Chloe I just could never bring myself to like her.
-
Chloe Sullivan, from Smallville. I don't remember ever disliking a character that much, she isn't part of DC universe, yet she had more spotlight than Clark Kent on that show, always coming off as the smartest of all, to the point of people developing theories than Chloe was the show's version of Lois Lane. Thank God Lois came in the picture a few years later to restore the order.

Hi! Another newbie here! I registered last month, trying to find somewhere to talk about my fav shows, but wasn't very sure to actually join in, since I noticed quite a lot of hate and nasty comments towards characters I enjoy, so I thought impossible for me to be accepted there. But the board has a wide range of topics, so I'll just go about all of them and practice my english (my first language is portuguese, I'm from Brazil) Hi to everyone, nice to meet you all!!

Another Kenny G sax solo is in Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night'. Tom Hanks is in Carly Rae Jepsen's 'I really like you', He lip syncs thru the whole song, too cool. And Justin Bieber also makes a quick appearance next to Carly by the end of it.
