Justin missed his calling as a silent film star or mime- his facial expressions are incredible π

I get that the Bachelor/Bachelorette producers want to dig deep with the confessions group date, but I found it to be really exploitative of the contestants vulnerability and pasts. This gave me a flashback to high school when my teacher had us sit in a circle and asked, "What's your darkest, saddest secret?" Classmates one by one talked about a parent's death or divorce, abuse, learning disabilities, one student came out as trans and cried and after everyone finished, my teacher burst out laughing and waved her hands and yelled, "My secret is that I'm a hand model!". She didn't even have nice hands- that bitch!
-
That's a great point and you're absolutely right! I didn't pick up on that! I made the mistake of watching this week's episode at 1:30am when I normally go to bed at 10:30pm and I feel like I didn't observe the details of the episode very well since I kept drifting off to sleep despite the mud wrestling drama and Thomas the creepy hunk.
-
I think Katie came off as a little unhinged when she ran in crying and yelled to the group on the second day, "If you're not here for an engagement, then get out!" Some of these people haven't even talked to her yet- so how would they know if they even wanted to marry her? π
-
Thomas is definitely a creepy/handsome Lifetime Movie boyfriend type. What's crazy is that Katie is totally falling for it- I laughed out loud out of shock when she turned to Thomas and said, "I feel like I don't know anything about you" and then proceeded to passionately make out with him. I can't say with 100% certainty two episodes in if he's a narcissistic sociopath- but his intense, unwavering stares and sexual magnetism along with scripted and unfeeling romantic one liners all seem pretty sleazy and sinister to me.
-
There's something really unsettling to me about watching Thomas: he has the looks and persona of a creepy/handsome Lifetime Movie boyfriend that lays on a lot of passion and canned romance phrases, but gives very little information about himself. I think a lot of handsome "nice guys" will be left in the dust this season if Kaitlyn continues to be blinded by sexual chemistry with guys without digging deeper to assess their character and values. Mike and Andrew M remain my favorites; both absolutely stunning and really good guys- I don't think she'll pick either of them, but they'll have zero problems dating if they don't get a rose.
-
I think so too- I forgot his name, but that was very clever of him!

That's so great that you are getting out and about after healing from your lumbar spinal fusion and congratulations on the surgical recovery! I love The Dollar Tree- I used to buy mops, popcorn buckets and boxes of moon pies from there when I lived closer to one. I think that there should be grocery store singles mixer nights or something for singles like me- and maybe even "The Bachelor of Safeway" where women could be presented a rose in the floral department and then they could split some potato wedges and dried out chicken wings with the bachelor during a 1 on 1 in the food court over by the National Enquirer magazine rack.

He won't be the zipper manager for long with Katie's "sex positivity" π
-
I think that Aaron and Cody (the zipper manager guy) who he doesn't like both got roses, but it's too soon for me to be 100% sure since there are too many guys to keep track of.
-
Oooh that's very hot and impressive of Andrew M: deputy district attorney- I didn't see that under his title that comes up with his name onscreen since I watched this episode without my reading glasses haha! I hope that Andrew M isn't a fame whore either- Andi and Rachel L better be investing wisely, because they can't ride The Bachelor Nation train forever. Yes, I love to ask cute guys to help me reach things at the grocery store since I'm only 4'11"- it is a fun way to break the ice π.
-
The after the episode thread is my favorite too- I buy the season on Amazon since it is HD commercial free, so I can't watch it live until a few hours after the episode premiers. Bao is gorgeous- I hope that he's cast on a different season. The producers definitely lean hard into one personality trait or value- like with the Colt Underwood virginity thing. I do hope that with Katie's "Sex positivity" that she can somehow hold her horses around these guys and not give too much too soon without evaluating their character. I have a feeling that a few of these guys will end up playing her with ulterior motives like social media fame or TV exposure in mind. Great phrase for Greg- "regular guy hot", he really is! He looks like the really cute guy I'd see in a grocery isle and ask to reach something for me- very "approachable hot"!

I honestly didn't recognize her at first and it is so unnerving to see! She reworked her entire face and here's what I think she had done: Botox, lip fillers, cheek fillers, a nose job and possibly a "cat eye" thread eyebrow lift. I loved her natural face- she didn't need any of this done and the nose job especially distorts the proportions of her face. I will never understand why some women feel the need to follow the "Instagram Influencer" surgery bandwagon- they all end up looking the same and it reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode "Number 12 Looks Just Like You".
-
I totally agree about the ill fitting dress; it looked like a 2003 Wet Seal prom dress and the seam cutting into the middle of her chest was so distracting and unflattering. Katie needs to learn about the art of a "slow tease" and subtlety in kissing rather than devouring a guy's face.
-
I think that Andrew M from Newport Beach is gorgeous- he's what I'd call "office hot"; he really wears a suit well and has a nice masculine, friendly demeanor and a great face/eyes/hair. I remember seeing the ABC website when they first announced The Bachelorette cast and there was a handsome guy named Bao who had high cheekbones and great bone structure and I was really looking forward to seeing him- I guess he had to leave the casting process for work or something. There are some good looking guys this season. I haven't dated since the pandemic started, so its nice to see some eye candy on my TV!

Absolutely incredible! "Whore's Bath Eau De Toilette" and Vinny's "Roly-poly Funhouse Mirrors" and the list goes on! π€£Nonstop laughs through and through with such witty jabs! I love the ones about Clara too- I think that she looks like a sweaty Mary Kay rep. -

I looked at Pastor Dwight's website and he's selling a book he just wrote for an $18.95 preorder called "5 Things Every Man Needs....And Every Woman Should Know About Men" by "America's Relationship Coach from Married at First Sight Dwight Buckner Jr." I think that he might have wanted to be on the show to benefit financially by association with MAFS. -

That's great that you and your sister have inside jokes about the show! I'm trying to get my sisters to watch the show too. I think that my sisters and I don't fight enough to be on this show- If we do fight, it's usually some yelling or catty insults for a few minutes and then we talk it out and laugh about it later π. -

Only the psychic twins could ruin a perfectly good pizza party! The 24 year old boy toy should break it off and leave this toxic sister duo- the sex and the roof over his head aren't worth the stress and constant fighting after only dating for 3-4 months. -

I made a similar realization with the show "Married At First Sight"- it is too toxic, the episodes are far too long, the cast members aren't particularly interesting or funny and I'm not going to be able to watch that show after the finale on Wednesday. I watch Extreme Sisters partly because it is a precautionary tale about codependency, jealousy and unresolved issues and it makes me grateful that my two sisters and I are close to each other in a healthy way. -

Thank you for the correction! I can't believe I mixed those two singers up! They're both great in their own right. Janet Jackson is the singer of "What have you done for me lately" . I don't know how to correct my original post and as an 80's pop culture fan, I am ashamed of my mistake π -

I completely agree! Erik has this unnerving tense nature to him and he turns a smile on and off at the drop of a dime depending on what is being said. I initially thought he was the best catch (out of a cheap county fair gold fish game of men), but I think he has a strong hold over Virginia out of control rather than looking out for her. I hope Virginia manages her drinking in the long run. All of the women adopted "Stepford Wife" personas around their husbands by reunion day and it was kind of unnerving to see Brianna's forced smile and Clara looking to Ryan for guidance before answering a question about herself π. I at least give Page props for eventually leaving her relationship when all of the other women should have done the same, but didn't. I see a lot of these women bending over backwards to please these unremarkable guys and adjust their personalities to be more palatable/subservient to them, but what are the men doing for the women? It reminds me of the Janet Jackson classic, "What have you done for me lately?" -

I felt bad for the fertility specialist who kept wincing and holding his temple when the twins screeched questions to him in their loud, nasally voices.
