  1. So I guess we're not sure which apparently dead character that "Diane" actually is? What a cluster fuck. My takeaway from the shallow end over here is just that this actress is very pretty, regardless.
  2. I knew it was stupid to hope that the Keemo story would lead to anything good. Jack's scenes lately and especially today came off so weird. Like a nervous high school kid with his hype man (Phyllis) getting ready to ask the girl out. Pretty sure Jack's never going to allowed to have actual agency or a spine. Honestly my only bright spot out of all this is that MS is doing well here so far, and it's keeping her from doing annoying shit in some other storyline. I'm not at all familiar with who Diane/Patty are, other than Diane being Kyle's mother (right?). Would we even be meant to see the actress playing the character immediately as one or the other, since I'm assuming this is a recast? Not sure I even care, since this show sucks.
  3. I truly cannot understand where this baby storyline from hell is meant to go. Devon's hissy fit and stabbing his friends in the back being a complete success, I thought, was basically the end of it. Even his number one apologist Amanda (accurately) pointed out he's still looking for more. Again, with the negative vibes...OMG, shut the fuck up. Everyone in GC would have lost custody of their kids if that were real, but this pissant and fellow Dad Bro Chance insist on making this a thing. I was ok with Jack showing some emotion with this Keemo story, but this was dragged out way too long. In terms of the Aunt Jack (lol) thing, I get what people are saying with the constant sad sack attitude. I get the sense they don't know or particularly care how to actually write for him in a compelling way. Being a passive mope is no fun, but I couldn't stand tense/bitter Jack from a couple of years ago. We already have the anthropomorphic turd calling itself Victor lumbering around, so I don't think GC needs another angry, "edgy" old man either. Personally, Tristan Rogers plays the coolest old guy type character I've ever seen as Robert Scorpio (though interestingly no way as Colin), but I don't know if that's PB's vibe. LMAO at Abby and Chance's last scene....Chance's head RIGHT on the boobage.
  4. I don't blame Jack for being upset about this, and personally I wasn't aware he'd reunited with Luan in GC. To find his family after all those years, and then to lose them all again like that is horrific. Plus, then he met Phyllis! No, actually, I was ok with Phyllis today. Really wish MS would stick to this level of energy- when she manages to act with a bit of humility, she's better than some on this show, let's just put it that way.
  5. I only watched the Abbott stuff, couldn't care less about insurance salesman Ashland (seriously, what were they thinking. The actor seems like a legit nice guy, but no way someone who can portray this character) or the rest of the Newmans atm. Pretty sure it wouldn't have been a good idea to "coax" the story out of him, Traci. Weren't they listening when he said a big part of the story was a defensive mechanism for him? Still like many of you I liked Traci and could at least tolerate Billy today, and THAT one's probably a first. Phyllis and her antics almost seemed weirdly fitting today. Not that she was in the right or anything, but like, this is what she's all about. You're never going to get completely away from her ego mania and bullshit in even in a trying situation, and I think even Jack knows that. Also felt like there's way more chemistry between her and Jack in this story. Probably bc he's actually showing some backbone and not just kissing her ass, and she's even following his lead to some extent so far.
  6. The show's been so bad there's not much to miss, but I do still usually look forward to junk watching at the end of a day. Today was the first time I have no qualms one bit about it being preempted. I can't believe this is happening.
  7. It seems like what he wants (assuming he knows what he wants at all) is to have the loving stepfather role without actually saying it. Which is basically the shittiest possible stance to take here, so I'm also about done with him.
  8. Jack and Victor didn't even substantively talk about much (unless you count the mandatory ORPHANAGE reference from Vic), but it was so fun just watching those two interact. Cautiously optimistic this Keemo thing could be good story for Jack, and even Phyllis I thought looked and behaved mostly appropriately today, so (baby Chancellor crew aside) this was a rare W episode for me.
  9. I still like Sally, although at the same time I can definitely see being put off by her. For me it's just the lines and dialogue they give her, and it's a continuation from B&B. Just cringey stuff where she's either made to look clueless, or some cliche line about how "she's not to be underestimated". I'm pretty sure Courtney Hope could play Sally on another level if she wasn't handicapped by that kind of writing.
  10. If the baby story playing out this way really is the writers trolling people....wow, so clever. Since we know these assholes actually probably are reading this, here you go Maybe if they could dig up an iota of talent and creativity from under the couch, they could spend their energy writing a decent story for once. But nah, enjoy the ratings with your douchebag new age leading males.
  11. The number of characters or stories I care about today was precisely zero, so things went by REAL fast. I don't care about the grown ass Newman kids feuding or Billy's pawdcast. And I know I'll be on an island on this one, but I don't care about Adam/Sally either. It's like I can tell they have chemistry, but it just does nothing for me. The whole story came off like her "wearing him down", and as uptight as it probably is, it still comes off really annoying for some reason. Just let me find out Stitch is the dad and Devon getting absolutely wrecked, so I can be horribly petty and laugh at him. That's where I'm at, show, thanks.
  12. The whole "Sharon is a therapist but walks around baked and completely clueless and everyone knows it" is written in as a joke, right? Right? I'm surprised Abby didn't snap sooner. Watching Chance nod mindlessly while Daddy Devon gives orders, she looked like she'd had it with both of these clowns. I think there's heat with Jack and Amanda, especially, but he played well off Lauren today too. I'm just so sick of Passive Jack. It's annoying to hear him say he's at peace and done with pursuing romance, when he clearly for some reason still wants Phyllis. Either really be done, and move on (hint hint), or do something about it.
  13. Can Crystal just obtain the hotel from Phyllis? I actually smiled when I assumed the camera would pan to Phyll but it was Crystal instead (too bad Chelsea otherwise ruins everything).
  14. Oh no doubt Abby made the worse blunder. I just think it's pretty lame, given the smoke he blows about what fierce insight he has, he couldn't see it through it. I had to FF a lot today. Devon forces himself as a co-parent on Abby, is celebrated by his ex con sister and her ventriloquist dummy manbaby BF. The real kicker for me was Chance being excited for the kid to be out of the house, so they have time to shag and go on dates. ButtBiscuit still found a way throw snark at Jack, through all of it. It's like the show is trying to be gross and infuriating lately.
  15. Victor's always a step or two ahead of everybody else. Grampy's so smart that he got duped into funding a dating app front for a human trafficking ring.
  16. It was weird, Chelsea seemed way more like a normal human being during her scene with Chance. Too bad pretty much everything she said was stupid.
  17. On a nice note, I'm amazed at what a literally calming effect Mariah/Tessa have compared to what else is going on. That said. I haven't been watching this show for that long. And as many- MANY- stupid plots and storylines that I've disliked, at the end of the day the worst it comes to is ranting about them and FF'ing if necessary. This disgusting custody storyline, which somehow keeps getting worse, is the first thing that's actually made me consider not watching anymore.
  18. Mee-Lan is a new beginning for Phyllis? Great, can it be an end, too? And BF Amanda thinks that the hotel being a clusterfuck is an attraction for guests? Yeah, sure. I can see why someone like Devon thinks she gives great advice.
  19. Lol at how relaxed and liberated Chance is acting like now that he doesn't have to be a dad. And also how he suddenly sees fit to tell Abby how it's going to be and how what she's saying is wrong (she's not wrong). Since they understand each other so well, Abby should give custody of him to Devon, instead. What an asshole. Not sure if this is meant to be part of the story, or if it's MO playing it like this, but no way Abby really thinks this is the "right" thing. I hate saying this, but I'm so sick of Sally/Adam, and kind of even sick of Sally herself. It's so anti chemistry the way she has to chase after him. And not that she owes Chelsea anything, but she IS lying when she says it's all business with Adam, so enough with the passive aggressive crap. I agree Courtney Hope is trying to make it work, and the storyline limits are doing her no favors, but more and more she just comes off like an annoying child. I actually think Rey has been a really good step dad- Faith especially seems to really bond with and care about him. So of course that'll get railroaded with an "I want kids" and stupid Chelsea plot.
  20. Let Sharon have him, at this point. He's earned it. He'll really wish he could have mustered up the occasional lullaby after one of those Crimson Lights "therapy" sessions.
  21. I really wish Devon nothing but the worst. I guess he's got Amanda, so that's a start. Go fuck yourself, and this entire disgusting story. Today was seriously a hate watch, in case that wasn't apparent.
  22. So Devon gets rewarded for his selfishness. Wasn't enough to be acknowledged as the bio father and welcomed any time you wanted. FFS, the one time I could actually accept the contractual EB "I am very badass" smug power move from Victor, and it's nowhere to be found. As much as Chance is asking her to do this, it's still not in Dominic's best interest IMO. Chance is very much in pain and in the moment, and whatever bullshit way the show plays this out, I don't think he realizes the effect something like this would likely have down the road. And again, Devon's already shown he feels he can change his mind on any "agreement" they all come to, so what's to stop him from another hissy fit in the future? Kind of a big deal to just give him the benefit of the doubt. Given the anger and energy she's shown so far, I think Abby wants to stay the course, but is in panic mode at this point.
  23. Lol, Sharon- thinking that as long as someone doesn't tell her they're fine when they're not, then they MUST want to hear her shar-brained psych nonsense. Devon's a gaslighter extraordinaire. It's that Abby reacted emotionally, and he's only doing this for Dominic, and that was he's asking for isn't meant to change anything. All to avoid the reality that what he's doing is harmful and that it's irrelevant if he means for it to be or not. Or...maybe he's just an asshole? Abby's still the only one even getting close to addressing the real issue. It doesn't matter if Chance isn't "ready" to be a father. Lmao, NO ONE probably is. The point is that he's not been shown in any way to dangerous or harmful, and is otherwise a loving parent. The question is if he wants to be, and if he doesn't...wow, poor Abby.
  24. That was my reaction, too. Devon and Amanda acting like it's some "gotcha" that Mariah couldn't respect boundaries, either, and expected she would similarly cheer on someone else trying to take the kid. Uh, what? Mariah was unwell and acting improperly, and Devon knew it at the time. Not exactly the winning argument they seem to think it is. The guy can't seem to keep his story straight over whether this is about him being denied access- a lie-, or whether it's about Chance being incompetent. I'm trying to not judge Chance too harshly , but it's getting tough. He's really undermining Abby here. If anything, I think he's the one not listening to her. The fact that he does appear to love Dominic and isn't otherwise some kind of threat is more than enough to work out on his own and to not be Devon's business. And I think that's what Abby's saying, pretty reasonably so. Otherwise, it would need to get to the point that he truly doesn't want to be an actual father. And if that's the case, he owes it to Abby to say so now.
  25. That's true. Although from I've seen, it's usually when she's with Mariah or otherwise being somewhat featured in the scene anyway. Then again, given some of the current stories, maybe we'd all welcome the distraction anyway.
