  1. Yeah, completely subjective here, but this is my take on it too. I like that she acts and seems like a normal person, which makes it seems more interesting than if she were yelling or, you now, flapping like certain other people possibly might. I'm kind of glad they swerved me on Nate fessing up. Haven't been particularly impressed up till now with his acting, but Sean Dominic did a lot better today. Trying to stare down Devon for old time's sake, but transitioning into the "aww, fucked up" face was a nice touch. Hearing Dick Newman described as a mature adult was something else. He was just about pocket pooling it over the thought of skinny dipping.....the man has two children who are thirtyish.
  2. Was thinking this when watching the show. Devon I can understand a bit because he seems to sense this is a bad idea, but otherwise how aren't any of them discussing the obvious risk here? Especially when, you know, you have a disagreeable power hungry individual who rage quit and immediately comes back ready to play nice, urging them to IPO *faster*. Nice stripper heels on Lily today. Honestly she always looks good even with her go go outfits, but she's shorter than I thought. How emasculating for Noah. Your much pined after ex and her wife- who is your sister who stole her from you- giving you a pep talk about how Not Sad you are anymore. Awkward.
  3. Nothing against ED, but it feels like Ashley always has to be desired and chased after by every man and basically "win" all the time. She isn't so impressive as to have had such a boy toy following. Phyllis's intuition sucks, what is she talking about? Unless she's just projecting about how absolutely no one should trust or want to be around her. Victor "doesn't give a damn what people say about him". Lol, good one. That's literally all he thinks about 🤡
  4. Huh? Isn't the reason Billy is stressed/distracted far more likely to be that his son's being threatened by a lunatic? I was surprised that wasn't Lily's first assumption given that she knows most of what's going on. No thanks on another round of the (millionaire) Puer Aeternus existential wangst. Huge Auntie Jack vibes on freaking out over Tucker/Ashley- seriously who cares?-although I think that was just being used to shoehorn in something with him and Phyllis. TSJ does seem too young (or at least youthful) to be hanging around with Ashley/Nikki, but given the performance of certain *other* actors on this show, youthful might not be so bad. Based on how he was acting the first day, I REALLY thought it was going to be a retread of Victor/Todd from OLTL, but he's mostly gotten out of that so I can see him as Tucker, and I'm liking it so far. Pretty sure Audra's actress is either not a native English speaker and/or was heavily Spanish influenced, so I'm good with her speech pattern given that.
  5. As much as I thought Billy was- amazingly, beyond all belief- handling things fairly well, he's really pissing me off at this point. Dude, Chelsea is an immediate threat to your son. Don't fucking feel sorry or worry about her fee fees. She earned the misery and deserves even worse- even one iota of sympathy for this nut is coming at Johnny's expense, imo, so cut the kindred soul crap. Hah, Chance completely shrugged Abby off today, and she deserved it too. The only one putting family aside (at least when it comes to Chance and their kid) is her. No way whatever Tucker's done matches up to her miserable gas bag of a father's rap sheet. And that's BEFORE the shit boxing "sparring" exhibitions. I tend to get real tired, real fast of the mouthy faux precocious brats they turn 90% of soap children into - seriously, why is this supposed to be endearing- but I liked Johnny and his attitude today. His ire was focused on a completely justified target and he otherwise seemed like a nice kid.
  6. I swear, everytime I come back randomly to watch, there's an MB fanfiction scene desperately trying to make him out to be a hardass that all the wimmen want. This show, man.
  7. I'll always have a bit of fondness for TSJ, for the sole reason that I started watching OLTL as a kid when he was playing (what was at the time) "Todd". But GD, he is literally just playing that character again here. Ok so Diane's probably done something vis a vis Tucker that winds up being a "betrayal" of the Abbotts to make all this extra maudlin, while miserable dumpsters Phyllis and Nikki wind up vindicated. I knew this was coming, but it still sucks. Audra being Noah's life changing ex? Lol, no. There's no way he could have handled that. Victor looked like he was a reanimated corpse today, with all the usual charm and warmth that entails. What a guy.
  8. I doubt they were writing this intentionally, because there's no way a Victor Newman spawn is going to get a critical deconstruction, but that office scene with Adam is a perfect example of why Nick isn't a "nice guy". He's ostensibly pleasant until he feels like he's owed something, and then it's obvious what an asshole he really is. Even if he insists on a "relationship" or whatever this is with Sally, how easy it would have been to just tell Adam that he didn't do it to hurt him and he can understood why he's upset. But no. He's an entitled, hurtful prick like the rest of his cult family.
  9. At the moment I'm pretty much discarding the possibility of Sally playing Nick, because frankly I don't think EB wants ANY of "his" kids getting one-upped by another non-Newman character. Could be wrong, but even if she is...ugh. Do not want any of this, it's gross either way. I really thought it was just me and my dirty mind, but it seems some of you guys also thought they were implying Diane was in some kind of sex work. Which is crazy, because as attractive and honestly beautiful as Diane is, she's not working as a hooker at anywhere near her age. That's not what those filthy rich LA men are looking for. And you know, even if she did....psst, still none of your business, Jack.
  10. You would think so. But I'm not so sure. It says a lot about these 🤡 that Phyllis can so blatantly and unconvincingly lie about what she's doing right in front of them, and that somehow assuages the situation. That goes for you too, Jack. Maybe especially so. It's really getting pathetic how he stands there and tries to ref these confrontations. He needs to tell these bitties to get lost after all the drama and trouble they've caused. That said, Diane-a 60 something year old woman- does not owe the scions of Genoa City a goddamn book report of what she was doing with her life years ago and thousands of miles away. Even if it turns out she was doing something nefarious, they don't know that and are putting up with crap from people like Phyllis that's equally bad or worse. Might be a party of one here, but I love the Billy/Lily talking scenes. It totally sells that she legit cares about him, and he actually comes off as human and not an unrepentant asshat. Where's Mr. Family Man, Victor? Can we get him to put his desperate machismo to good use for once in his life, and have Chelsea offed? Because that right there is an actual threat.
  11. Chelsea is an absolute dirtbag. As much as I dislike Victoria, I believe she loves Johnny with all her heart (well, what she has for a heart, anyway). Chelsea is so warped and selfish, she's lying to herself about this not being completely for her own wants. Huge mistake telling Johnny after they ASKED him if he wanted to know more, and he responded negatively. Poor kid, it honestly made me a bit uncomfortable just watching that. Nick and Victoria actually have a nice chemistry together on the rare occasion the topic isn't about apologizing for their loser father.
  12. It wouldn't work because people would be so thrilled there would be no investigation. Or maybe there would be, solely to reward the person that did it. This Talia Morgan, my God...It's not like Natalie Morales hasn't been on TV before, so IDK what this is supposed to be. She sounds like a shitty voiceover tutorial in an imported roleplaying game.
  13. That Ravi/Ashley story actually was pretty shady on her part, IMO. Yes, he was a desperate nice guy, but she totally lead him on (knowing he wanted an actual relationship) then ignored him. Would love to see the actor back, I liked him.
  14. Oh man, I was (am) an advocate of this too. Can you imagine OG Imani running interference on Jack's behalf? (And the original actress is in fact still coming back...right?) I can tolerate nuSummer much better than HK's version, but it's still bothersome seeing her and Kyle presented as some great love story. They should be siblings, and Kyle was so much better off with Lola. She would have been way more impactful as an addition to the Abbotts IMO. Ok, that dark navy color looks REALLY good on Phyllis. She still sucks, though.
  15. Reading all your comments gets my hopes up- all this talk about Nate's plan backfiring and he and Victoria going to jail would be way too fun and exciting to watch, and of course it will never ever happen. At least the last part- a Newman dealing with real consequences for the wrong they've done- anyway. Still, she hasn't accepted it yet. Part of me does hope she just shuts him down on (yeah right) principle for how disgusting it is. And you guys have said it all about Sally/Adam/Nick, nothing else to add. What a disaster of a story. I am a bit excited to see Deacon, though, as I can't help but like Sean Kanan. Nikki should just go for it.
  16. I was shocked at that. Just on the optics of it. I know no one except basically us watches anymore, but still...what are they thinking? Clear as day that Nate's going to be (literally 🤭) under Imani's influence soon. Way to fuck over everyone else who didn't even do anything to you, all because you're not getting attention. And this is more to yesterday's episode, but Nate's the one who *every* time has insinuated violence in his confrontations with Devon. So weak. No way Elena's going to be ride or die on this one, nor should she be. At least she has a conscience. And, you know, a job.
  17. This is what I get. Was going to write a comment complimenting Victor/EB for (mostly) behaving like a human being during his scenes with Jack and how well that came off. Then....umm. He probably had the whole cast stand behind the camera to applaud his badass "fighting" skills. Making us think this might just be to show Victor having a heart attack while phony boxing probably doesn't quite drive the whole macho man point home. I agree, Sally did look disgusted. Guess The Sperminator Nick isn't so great after all. Of course he immediately had her go for some burgers and booze afterward. Stay classy, asshole. Temp Imani's personality is much less vixen, and more strangely disconcerting. That said, I don't blame the actress at ALL...gotta be a tough job to step in like that.
  18. Lol, Nikki. She was a "stronger" (and better, and more interesting) person when she was stumbling drunk out of the GCAC than she is now.
  19. Ok, I actually liked today's episode quite a bit. Lot of just talking and some conflict where I could (mostly) see both sides of the argument even if I favor one character over the other. Was pretty disappointed in Sally initially playing down the miscue (blaming the assistant, WTF?), because that's your damn job, but she came to her senses. Chloe, man...I mean she's actually right in that Sally isn't thinking straight and needs to hear about it. But maybe try a different angle? It's possible someone could be a bit screwed up about a relationship, in need of a talking to, etc...WITHOUT it involving Adam being the antichrist. Even if she really does believe that about him, FFS, she sounds deranged. All Nate cares about is his version of respect (read: people blowing smoke up his ass), and doesn't belong anywhere near an executive level right now being this sensitive. In the business world you don't have the right to have all your ideas accepted and implemented, even IF they're good. Especially when you're new. And way to be rude to Elena, ass. Victoria/AH looked cute today. This show is more enjoyable without Phyllis and Victor. Find another "chaos" character where the egomania isn't running rampant and the scripts don't have to be written to their demands.
  20. Yeah, I didn't quite get that either, in terms of what exactly happened that set him off (this time). Guessing it was Lily not 100% backing his idea? Devon's not innocent in this but I understand his overall concern, and even if he's wrong, he IS Nate's boss and he knew that taking the job. At this point Nate's almost maniacal about the whole thing- he really doesn't seem like he's in a state to make reliable decisions at all.
  21. For whatever reason, I immediately assumed that Diane was texting Aww, Victor big mad. God forbid he wish his child success even if it's not at the family cult company compound. Adam did a good job dealing with his hysterics.
  22. I don't why this one bothered me, but the thing about Adam not getting close to people because of the childhood incident (and isn't that some recently introduced retcon?) was dumb. It was just him defending his mother, not because of some rage filled violent temper. In a day full of lowlights, the biggest zinger of a line was Nick stating he wasn't a kid. Sure, pal...if Abby had somehow wound up with your lunch instead of Dominic's, nobody would know the difference.
  23. Victor wants to know the last time "something in this town got past him"? Yeah nothing gets past Victor Newmoney, whoops I mean Newman. Oh, except that time you funded your daughter's BFs sex ring, none the wiser. Wait, also that time you sauntered into a back alley in your Marlon Brando cosplay to go rumble with JT, who was actually your son in a mask. You fucking poseur moron. It's always been this way since I've been watching, but the tongue bathing is so bad lately every Victor scenes come off like an informercial. It doesn't even fit the rest of the show. Can't EB go off and promote a Victor themed reverse mortgage or something instead? JFC. (Sigh) credit to Nick. He's the one who has the most "right" to be miffed at Sally for being a rival of his daughter, and he mostly sees it for what it was, which was nothing. And this how the vaunted family that Sally is currently stanning for treats her. Nice. Nikki and Phyllis....are GC's villains. Right? Otherwise holy shit.
  24. He knew. For whatever reason that one wasn't interesting to him though, so he didn't give a shit. And yeah, I think they are trying to make us all forget the custody fight. They wrote themselves into a corner to the point where the optics looked increasingly bad had they continued.
  25. Between Sally's cheerleading and all the odes sung about them (off freaking screen), it still managed to be a Newman tongue bath day. Noah, your grandmother "hard as nails"? FOH. She literally does whatever her husband tells her to do. Again, whether she's meant to be a villain or not, I'm just really enjoying SW as Diane. Her episodes have been the most fun, mostly because of her alone lately.
