  1. Wow. This one hurts. When TC was at his best, I found Nikolas to be such a compelling, charismatic character. I felt like I was on that journey of trying to figure out a place in the world given a weird family situation right there with him, and TC is what made that possible. I really think the man was extremely talented as a performer, legit one of the best in the show's history when he was "on". NGL I also wanted to see him back on GH one day. This is is terrible- God bless him and his family.
  2. Big surprise that someone literally stalking you would take a golden opportunity to look good. I wish the show could have Li on it without Finn. I'm not sure it's like classically great acting, but she feels very much like a real person which IMO is more important. Sheila is basically going to keep stinking up the show with "master villain" plot lines for years on end, right? She's honestly ok in one off stories, but this ain't Rena Sofer, who actually made me want to watch a deranged character.
  3. Erstwhile viewer who begrudgingly got a curious about the Lope break up. The good side of things is that from what I've seen, they're really giving Hope a good rationale for why she's handling it the way she is. It makes you look back on all the insecurity and unease that marriage rested on, from both Liam's waffling and Hope's childhood with Brooke that she's talked about. At least on THIS point, it's actual good writing here. Plus they're lucky to have AN- she's playing this as hurt but with newfound strength SO well. I just can't with Thomas. I doubt I can ever see this character as anything but a creep, because the "reformed" version just comes off as nice guy creep. The only time I ever bought that the character had legit non obsessive feelings towards someone was PF's version with Sally at the beginning (and that might have been Courtney Hope working her magic more than anything). And dude straight up abused up his kid and kept Hope thinking her daughter was freaking dead. I can buy that this is Hope working through a bunch of crazy feelings and it's an outlet or something, but I'm noping TF out f this is actually meant to be some kind of Tru Love LT couple.
  4. I couldn't say if 1999 was as good as the show ever was, but at least the last time it had a certain level of quality that it hasn't regained since. Looking back at clips, the drop off between 1999 and 2000 is huge.
  5. Is this soap just that low on funds? IDK why it hit me especially today, but these sets are beyond awful. I'm already expected to believe things like Billy being a charming rogue, or Nick managing to put his underwear inside his pants. So I just can't with every meeting having to happen at Society (which looks like a 3 star hotel side lounge), and the Glum Club...which, 🤢 . If they were staging kindergarten graduations there, fine. Otherwise... I literally can't suspend disbelief to imagine these are serious locations. Were Top of the Tower and the GCAC somehow too expensive? They actually looked decent and realistic. Kyle sucks. St. Dick-less is the "superior brother"? Does he know how many times he f'ed over Jack? My girl Lola keeps perpetually dodging a bullet on this one.
  6. Yeah, I was thinking exactly this. I don't want her with either of them. Daniel and his creepy game obsession (as of now) seems like a redux of Buttbiscuit with his Chelsea morality pet project. Which means of course Lily will blunder right into it. Chick wasn't even wearing pants today.
  7. I'm gonna wind up hate watching this POS thanks to you guys. Jerks. 😊 In that spirit, the lowlife- whoops, I mean lowlight- of the day I think was Abby's smug look at Chance. So she was all offended about and even *denied* spending more time with Devon, whennnn....she just fucked the guy. Again. Yeah, Chance was so off point here 🙄 Wait no, all that said, the lowlife is Victor. The answer is always Victor, holy shit what a scumbag. I hope his relationship with Adam is ruined forever. Like that'd be what would/should happen when the "father" is that horrific, and Adam would be way better off for it.
  8. This scared me. Because I seriously thought it meant Phyllis was going to strip off that coat/kimono/whatever thing in an attempt to seduce someone. I think this has been bulding up for a while now, but I'm realizing there is zero to root for on this show right. I'm hating just about everyone at this point, so might be time for a little break.
  9. I almost forgot how much worse they can make already terrible stories. So Diane's going to try to steal from the Newmans? Like they're ever to allowed lose. A minor highlight in the sea of crap on this show was that I wasn't seeing much of Nikki and Grampire stinking up the screen. Now inevitably they'll be brought out to show how "formidable" and badass the NewMoney family cult is. No thanks, I can read desperate fan fiction somewhere else. In next week's preview with St.Chelsea , Buttbiscuit looked like some kind of Vaudeville reject in that oversized coat and weird pose. New career path, maybe?
  10. Summer must be confused. She needs to be asking the kid's actual mother, Tara, for permission to do anything. I didn't realize people lost custody of their kids for wire fraud or whatever Tara did that was way less harmful than what Summer's filthy mother does by waking up each morning. F off.
  11. Same. I would like to see more of SW, but the story is beyond done, and the "plan" to trick Stark is embarrassing to watch. Either bring on the inevitable Diane as the bad guy and Phyllis was right and get it over with, or instead (please) just draw this down and have Diane move on to something else. Per the conversation up thread, I find Tucker to be a good counter to Phyllis. His weird, non energy energy seems to parry a lot of the scene chewers like MS and EB. And man, those kids love Tucker/TSJ.
  12. TBH, I think she could have been even *with* MS. I watched her for a bit on GH as Nina- other than the usual Stafford-isms, she was fine. She even dressed like a functioning adult human being. I don't think she's untalented, and personally don't care about some of the RL details some people find distasteful about her. But all she seems to care about now is playing some larger than life "complicated" heroine who always has to look like a hardass, and it's pathetic dogshit.
  13. Adam and Jack's relationship is so interesting, and MG/PB play it off so well. They're not similar personalities, but they're very compatible in that father-esque/son sort of dynamic. Legit heartwarming to see Jack still looking out for him, and Adam stating he was concerned for Jack. I really should have got the bad stuff out of the way first, but...I can't even stand to watch crybaby Phyllis anymore. A woman who thinks she's entitled to ruin multiple lives because of high school level grievances against a fellow 60 year old woman. Whatever potential she had as being watcheable- and I actually think she did, at one point- is just utterly dead thanks to her repugnant, never ending role in this story. Because we all know she's not meant to be seen as the soulless villain she in fact is. I know it will never ever happen, but I would straight up laugh if she got killed. Or at least made a fool of and forever stymied in her big fierce "revenge" attempts 🤡 .
  14. Well, this year really ended on a dud. Not a lot of hope that it won't carry over to 2023, either. Which is especially disappointing because the show isn't complete crap- there were episodes this year that were ridiculously good, so enjoyable that I didn't want them to end. In terms Victor would appreciate, can we just take 2022 and flush it?
  15. Exhibit 1,067,329 (approximately) of why Victor is a pathetic excuse for a father. If his much beloved kids and family aren't kissing his ass, they deserve to be yelled at and mocked. Great family man. Wait, Abby/Devon getting teary eyed over what exactly? The legal father spending time with his kid? Still, this really does make Chance vouching for Devon during the custody thing look like even more of a stupid blunder than it already was.
  16. I feel like I'm summoning him by even bringing him up-something like saying his name three times in front of a mirror, or toilet- but crazy how Grampire can't be bothered to help with the Chelsea/Johnny situation. The man cannot resist maliciously butting into his grown kids lives, but on the rare occasions it actually could be helpful- the custody thing with Dom, and now this- he's nowhere to be found. A Newman is even morally *in the right* for once on this one. Figures. Among many other things wrong here, Courtney Hope seriously outshines JM in their scenes together. It's so awkward. Dread it. Run from it. A Newman pregnancy still arrives. The only paternity sweepstakes Nick doesn't win are when it involves Adam, that way Victor still gets to raise a new cult member either way. I was fast forwarding a lot today, so I might have missed this...but did they say where Jack took Stark to fake him out about Diane? I just keep imagining him bringing Stark to, like, a Golden Corral, and being all "shit, I SWEAR she was here".
  17. Not that we're covering new ground here, but wow Billy and Chelsea are disgusting. Of course they'll play the "leave it Johnny" angle now. The damage has been done. Chelsea already forced all the ugly details on her pre teen son, knowing full well he'd tell Johnny and elicit sympathy. I don't like Victoria for a million things but man I suddenly switch to her side when it comes to the Chelsea stuff. She's absolutely right.
  18. Phyllis is such a shit parent. And pretty much everything else, but that's the one that really gets me. She's like Victor...she'll not only fail to apologize for hurting Summer, she'll actively do so if Summer if she doesn't give her the loyalty she's "owed". They played the ominous music when Daniel was talking about his Matrix game again. The loftier/more intriguing they make the concept, the bigger the faceplant this is going to be. How about they just take a turn here, and go for full on Artificial Stupidity, instead? Plug ButtBiscuit and Chelsea into it as the star characters. Speaking of, nice PSA on depression. Don't bother showing that there's a way forward, but it's not easy and people won't necessarily give you what you're hoping for. Nah, if you have an episode, you get your selfish ambitions fulfilled bc now everyone lets you have your way. Kyle is a lost cause. But do they really have to make Jack such a non-authoritative figure in these kinds of situations? The guy is a Vietnam Vet, he's probably been in knife fights in the Mekong Delta FFS.
  19. Even more impressed with Stark as a bad guy after today. He was legitimately threatening, and that's hard to do with the stupid lines they give soap characters. I'm excited...you guys remember when they brought in Locke as an outside villain, and RB played him really well and so naturally he started a long run on the show as a formidable... Ah. Shit. Never mind.
  20. I don't quite think Nate was making sense- he's an insufferable prick, as always- but yeah it was incredibly stupid for Devon to go over there. Not only does it make him more interested, but specifically it plays right into his "I apologized and you didn't hold the door open for someone 6 years ago so you're just as bad" self righteous angle. Getting major creepy nice guy vibes from Daniel so far. Do not like.
  21. I enjoy Tucker and Ashley's interactions way more than I thought I would. Plus Ashley looked really good today, albeit a bit too Phyllis esque (never a good thing) with the body suit and ta-tas hanging out. While I think what Nate did was far worse than Devon/Abby, Devon literally said he wasn't sorry. And frankly, I don't think he even wants Amanda's forgiveness, either. The guy wants Abby. The Jeremy Stark actor seems pretty entertaining as a bad guy. Can he please be allowed to do something fun- like, say, I don't know, kill off someone annoying- before he's inevitably nerfed per EB's contract status? Haha, Chance. Yeah, he will soon be taking up the kind of "therapy" Sharon really knows best.
  22. Why does everyone insist on trying to shame Phyllis into the truth or decency? She's selfish and rotten to her core...she does not care. Or worse, takes it as an affront. Still, I couldn't help but like Jack -in full Louis XIV mode - blowing up like that today, bc it was well acted and he got in some really good lines. I know he's mostly wandering around drunk these days and maybe missing a little tact, but it actually makes me a bit sad seeing Adam constantly running into people and being yelled at. I don't mind Audra like a lot of people do, but this is such a dud with Noah. He was with some dull version of Tessa over there, you can't convince me otherwise. Especially with those weird flashbacks where Noah (of all people) is acting all aggro. Billy thinks it would be a "good idea" if people keep a watch on Adam, of all people? A much better idea would be him playing Slip and Slide off his favorite place, on the roof.
  23. I was pretty sure I couldn't despise a character more than or even equal to Phyllis or Victor. Failure of imagination, I guess. What a putzy, selfish shithead Billy is. Instead of anything Chelsea or Billy related, I'd rather watch a storyline all about Chance's quasi-philosophical misadventures while off hurting and drunk.
  24. I was particularly glad to read all of your posts today and see how many of you had the same reactions today. As much as I like Sally, I couldn't understand her one bit today. Bangs the guy who wants to get married, tells him how much they're in love and the Bad Thing he did really wasn't all that bad and was kind of cute all along but.. we're done, just because? Dude. That conversation should have been clothed and in a semi-public place. I'm not sick of *her* but I'm over the back and forth and Adam embarrassing himself. Sally in her current mindset frankly is the one who's not worth it. Maybe Diane and Devon should be a couple. I don't dislike either of them (far from it, and I think Devon's a bit more guilty here), but they are both REALLY good at passively getting what and who they want. If Phyllis isn't getting killed off (yeah right) or at least completely abandoned over this, I don't even know anymore.
  25. Way too much talk of what a scary, powerful villain Stark is supposed to be. Because that certainly means a Sexay Victor knockout scene to save the day. I suggest they just lure him near the bathroom on the Newman Ranch, that should do it.
