Or maybe Mike White is satirizing people who get caught up in these programs like frequent flier miles. Tanya could also afford to fly private jets all over the world too but she probably is a member of a FF program.

I finished a rewatch of the 2 seasons in preparation for season 3. Yeah a lot of things are still baffling. Scene with Jopari and Will, father had to make Will understand what important role he has. For a stranger in these other worlds, he had almost all the pieces of the puzzle, more than most other characters. Lyra is Eve before the Fall? That's what Marisa is focusing on but Seraphina had said that Lyra has to do the things she was prophesied to do, without knowing about the prophesy. So if Mrs. Coulter tells her that she's Eve, it blows up the prophecy? Have to imagine these alternate worlds are allegorical to a certain extent. Seems like Kaufman was weaving in theology and other philosophical precepts into this universe. Authority just seems to be God and the Magisterium claims to speak in the name of the Authority, wields dictatorial power, suffocating thought, pursuit of knowledge. Certainly these are not unfamiliar elements in our own history. Defeating the Magisterium wouldn't seem that difficult. They only have those slow airships with guns. Asriel could pop over to our world and acquire some portable surface to air missiles. What is the Subtle Knife going to do that an automatic rifle couldn't do? I imagine in the books, Will doesn't come from modern day England with Teslas and smart phones. Or modern military aircraft and all manners of weapons. So they've raised expectations a lot with this talk of this all-out war encompassing all the worlds. Of course there are magical things in this world. I don't recall if I saw the post-credits scene. Apparently there is a way to reach the dead or at least Roger.

Wow the scenery! Still probably vapid plots but man the French tourism bureau should be paying them.

Doubtful someone with $500 million worries about status at hotel programs. She probably does like being attended to and pampered but people with the kind of money they have would probably rent a villa to be away from the common folk and bring her own staff of servants.

You can create one in the Other Candid Reality Shows forum. Or request a dedicated one. I don't even hate Leva that much but VPR clone sounds like a colossal waste of time.

House Hunters International - General Discussion

Loved the first two places. How can you go wrong if you have a view of the Alhambra? I've been researching Granada, particularly the Albaicin for an upcoming trip. I have been before, still love it. The second property, towards the top, are not near the plaza at the bottom of the Albaicin where all the restaurants are. But it sounds like she wants to cook, not go out to eat so much. Being vegans could be tough though there are always a few vegan restaurants. But Granada is one of those places where if you order a drink, usually alcoholic, you get a free tapa. That $500 place with the terrace was incredible. I'd stay there long term, though it is very inconvenient, you have to walk a quite a ways downhill and then walk uphill again. There is a place to park up there but it's a hike away. Also restaurants, cafes and bars with views of the Alhambra but not as many as down in Plaza Nueva, which sits between the hill up to the Alhambra and the hill which is the Albaicin. There are mini buses which squeeze through narrow streets. As far as their budget maybe they're starting out in wedding photography. They would need to build up a client list and portfolio. Seems like a lot of their photo work was for social media and they got noticed. Both do seem to have some talent. Unless they become hits on IG or Youtube, wedding photography may be more consistent. Some people will spend into 5 figures for wedding photos and videos and even drone videos for destination wedding. I don't know if the Spanish spend like that for weddings. Some Americans and definitely a lot of Asians spend big for wedding photos. You often see some Asian couple with the bride to be in a wedding dress getting photos done in all sorts of places, definitely a lot in Australia and New Zealand but Europe as well. They're traveling that far and also paying for a photographer to travel with them, that's how serious they are about wedding photos. They did say they plan to stay there for a long time. Man at those rents, it's easy to see why. Granada is away from the Andalusian coast and near the mountains. In winter, it gets cold and you can see snow-capped Sierra mountains behind the Alhambra. There is an airport nearby but I don't think there are flights to other European cities. They'd have to go down to Malaga, which is about 1 to 1.5 hours away, for international flights. I'd have loved to live in Granada for at least some short time when I was their age. -
Seems like the most recent seasons didn't get reviewed much if at all. Does it hold up at all to the first couple of seasons?

She did offer to Greg to look at the prenup again but he still ran out on her. If she's not sure about Greg, even considering annulment, it's doubtful she'd hav changed her will to make him a beneficiary to a big part of it.

Speaking of fries, I may get an air fryer. Well to relate it to BD, have we seen any BD chef use air fryers? I think one mentioned a dish that he or she cooked using sous vide and they have those hand held torches to brown the meat.

Probably meant to be double entendre with the lap dance by the twerker.

Bravo thinks it's being clever with this episode title.

Sounds like it though it would have been the early '70s I believe.

Wonder how many of Lee's quips or Rachel's cursing riffs or any extended sentences by any of the other cast members are recorded in one take. I suspect they will do more than one take to get some of these lines in. Or they will overdub in post production, especially when a person is not directly facing the camera. Reality TV.🙄

People seemed to love those truffle fries though. When I was a kid, I used to make fries myself, peel them and then used a thing where you put potatoes into a grid of blades and pushed down and you got fries shaped potatoes. Don't know if it was a Ronco. Then put it in the deep fryer. Amazing that our parents let us operate a deep fryer. Was maybe 10 or 11. As adult, I've occasionally bought frozen fries or tater tots. Don't have a deep fryer.

Yeah first it was Benny in BDDU, then one of the asshats on BDM and now this twerked from Mississippi who decides she needs time for herself to swim while on duty. BD casts these entitled people and encourage them to act out. Of course these reality star wannabes working was always a fiction. They film montages of them wiping down the exterior or making up rooms but when the cameras aren't running, how hard are they working really? Lee said it's like a wind tunnel between those two tall mountains. Maybe more extreme wind conditions this season. The mountains do look glorious in morning sunlight. More and more, charter guests on BD shows want to be chummy with the crew and enable the crew to act the worst. So much for 5-star service, familiarity breeds contempt. How generous, a $25k tip. They're not even pretending that bad performance is punished any more.

Before Tanya saw Quentin and Jack, the rooms she was walking through looked unreal, through the use of a visual effect. You saw the walls kind of zoom in. Maybe Tanya was still half asleep or woozy or in a dream-like state. The grunting noises should have gave away what was going on but seeing them seemed to snap her to full consciousness.

Allie explains why he sank the trawler by telling Margot that she doesn't have a plan that doesn't end up in her and the kids ending up in jail or being vulnerable to cartels. She's glaring at him as he sleeps. She's done with him? She sneaks into a boat and uses a satellite phone to contact the NSA, offering them Allie in exchange for full immunity. NSA guy says they don't care about Allie any more. Charlie comes across poachers with automatic rifles and he throws rocks at them to get them to release the animals. Hmm, maybe not the best plan but he's lucky they didn't shoot him. Isela not happy that Allie sank the trawler, which would have brought money. Her partner tells her they're bad news, they know about their clash with the cartel. William Lee the assassin who was trying to capture them for Lucrezia goes to work for a rival cartel. So the Foxes potentially are in danger from cartels, poachers, Isela. Here they thought they were just going to chill out in the rain forest, away from the US govt.

Most men don't care about what Portia's wearing. She's cute and their objective is to get her out of her clothes. They may not recognize good fashion, they can generally tell a woman is stylish or not. But committing a fashion crime is not a showstopper if she's attractive.

Lot of places that offer arancini are bars or little takeout places. They've been prepared long time ago, they just heat them. So they wouldn't sit down and eat just arancini, you would think. Maybe if they had some wine or other booze as well as some charcuterie or something with it. It is a quick meal, a couple of arancini can be filling to keep you going for a few hours. So it's strange that they'd run out of the place without paying. You'd order them at a counter, pay for it and they'd give it to you in a napkin or something. Same thing for cannolis or gelato, you pay as you get the food.

I just returned from Australia, first time in Queensland. I didn't go to Cairns, just only as far north as Noosa, which is near the coast. I got some suggestions to visit the hinterlands, which are inland, where people do bush walks. There are also wineries in there. Saw that there are lookouts, where you could see valleys and tree tops. Just didn't seem as scenic as the coastal areas where they've build nice boardwalks or paved pathways for coastal walks. Yeah I don't get the appeal of the forests either. Might be nice if the weather was torrid, to get away from the sun for a day or two. Otherwise, I prefer the sun, though the sun down there is brutal, supposedly more ozone layer holes so you're likely to burn faster. -
How about the yacht? How about him staying at the WL hotel? How about him having expensive seats at the opera?

Yeah I thought about Greg when Quentin describe the Wyoming cowboy. But Quentin committing murder? Seems like he has plenty to lose if he did that. May not be as rich as Tanya but he has plenty of his own. Harper doesn't have any respect for Cameran. Why would she play along with him asking her about her sexual past? I don't think Ethan would want to hear it in front of others or for her to talk about it at all. What exactly does the pimp do for Lucia? He should handle collections if Cameran isn't going to pay. But it's strange they didn't even mention the pimp before this episode. Seems like she was spending the money as soon as she earned it not putting aside someone else's cut. How is Albie suppose to know he's hiring her for sex? She didn't ask for the money upfront nor say what it would cost. Maybe escorts with rich clients don't need to talk price ahead of time because the johns don't care how much it costs? Harper could have just said that she's not feeling well and blow off spending time with the other couple. She's suspicious about what happened so she'd hardly be in a mood to spend time with the guy who's a bad influence on her husband. So she'd going to just get drunk with them?

Has anyone watched Mo on Netflix? Just found out about it, he's a minor character on Ramy but Youssef and Mo Amer created the show for him. Has gotten rave reviews.
-
Rachel said "suck my dick" and "eat my cooter" to the captain, then got drunk a lot and acted out during the crew excursions. Is that what passes for personality and the reason she's now in her third season? The floater is set up just to cause drama and potential conflict between the chief stew and the bosun, who looks like he's going to hook up with the female deckhand. Claws are out early between the second stew and the twerking floater. Guests are gay ex Mormons who want to drink all charter? Either Bravo pays him well or Lee has expenses to do a season in his condition. Don't know which it is but Bravo has a tight schedule with all these BD shows now. They want them on the air almost year round so they probably weren't going to wait for Lee to heal up. Maybe they hinted to him that if he doesn't do the season on their schedule, they'd replace him permanently. Or maybe a fake story line about how the old sea horse has so much grit that he's doing a dumb TV show despite the discomfort. How is he going up and down all the stairs that the younger crew are complaining about?

Both had to go into tHe city for jobs so the modern home in the jungle made no sense. Neither seem to have very high paying jobs so maybe family money to buy instead of rent. How does flight attendant afford nice apt. in Dubai and afford to build up big wardrobe?
