  1. Well Daphne has been hinting that she cheats herself. She does whatever it takes to make herself better in the face of Cameron cheating on her.
  2. It wouldn't be the prenup, it would be a will. Why would she put him as the beneficiary in her will if she had doubts about Greg? Maybe this is part of the legalese that Mike White didn't really investigate. Also if they were going to murder her, do it in front of Taormina? Yes their plan was to do it at night. There was rope and duct tape so maybe the plan was to take her to some remote place and then kill her. Jack made a mistake letting Portia go. Though he advised her to get on the plane and go away, so maybe she was spooked enough. First thing she should have done when she got her phone back was call the police or the hotel since she didn't speak Italian. But she didn't care enough about Tanya's life? Maybe she felt underpaid and mistreated, otherwise, you'd think she would want to protect her employer. So Tanya shut her eyes and just kept shooting until the gun was empty and she killed just about everyone. But she dies attempting a stupid leap, hits her head before hitting the water, when there's a little ledge at the water level she could have walked to, to get on the boat. Guess it was suppose to be partly comic, not so tragic. Mike White said he didn't want Tanya to be a victim to others. Albie making the deal was funny because of the audacity of it but 50k Euros probably was nothing to Dominic. Lucia specifically told Albie that's how much she needed? Dominic accused Albie of being an easy mark but so was he, because he wanted his family back so much. Well the two couples ended up leaving together, just as the couple in season 1 did, even though Rachel in that case knew her husband was a POS, she couldn't walk away from all that security. If there was ANY night for Ethan and Harper to eat anywhere but at the hotel, THIS was the night. Ethan had tried to drown Cameron and Harper called Cameron a fucking idiot. But they pretend like none of these things happened or Ethan and Daphne possibly fucking and they just toasted the trip! And then at the airport the next day, they're talking about going to the Maldives together! OK, Mike White can't have any more young couples having marital problems during the time they're at the WL and then leaving all back together again, as if nothing had happened. He's used up his quota of happy endings. Lucia and Mia are the big winners, they get money, a dream job for Mia, a fat bank account for Lucia. She's not going to LA or anywhere.
  3. Profile of Mick Herron, the writer of the books. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2022/12/05/is-mick-herron-the-best-spy-novelist-of-his-generation
  4. I forgot what they called it in The Americans, deep undercover Soviet agents living like Americans but doing missions. Did they call them immigrants? Not as colorful a label as cicada but similar idea.
  5. Sicily filming locations for WL. Read in The Washington Post: https://apple.news/Axy1DHAc8TzG-4ntbKGzDew
  6. I don't listen to the podcasts, what does Tori have to say about it?
  7. Why does Danes always play these exhausting characters? Rachel is like Carrie Mathison without the delusions of grandeur or megalomania, but instead driven by greed. Toby has insecurities which rise to the surface when Rachel names Art Rothenburg. The scene he imagines of them fucking while they both eat beef lo mein is hilarious. Otherwise it’s pretty depressing even tHough he should have a career that he’s proud of, has strong beliefs and good friends. But Libby and Seth are also unhappy though their problems don’t seem as bad to Toby because he’s all up in his head.
  8. Yeah it doesn't seem that long ago. They probably didn't want to delve into how screwed up college finances are. It's a comedy show!
  9. But if they open it up again and teams come down positive with covid, will they get automatically eliminated? With bad luck they could lose 2 or 3 teams in 2 consecutive legs or maybe even one leg. That would cause havoc with the shooting schedule.
  10. I don't think they built a giant piano keyboard or 3 giant piano keyboards that actually activated the note and the image. Probably someone in a control center was watching which keys they stopped on and turn on the images and the notes.
  11. I believe the agent mentioned that the bus stops right in front of the suburban house. It would take longer than a car but then driving into town and parking is probably a hassle. Does she have classes every day? In any event, it's clear that she gets what she wants in that relationship.
  12. York is really nice. Again, lot of sunlight in supposedly gray UK. Are they married? They have different last names. Yeah what is she going to do to bring in income? She basically gets her way, got the "way over" budget place in town with the tiny bathrooms, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms at that. All so that she wouldn't' have a long commute. The third home in the suburbs was better for the whole family and Ms. Middle Aged Woman with nose ring and tats wasn't riding the bus so they would need a car. Would people in the UK hire her as midwife? They have all or everyone covered by socialized medicine so who would pay out of pocket for a midwife? Especially Mrs. Nose Ring?
  13. Allie and Margot are in over their heads. They learn that Guillermo pretty much owns them and Richard is also up to something. Allie barely gets out alive from that investor's meeting or whatever they call it. Now NSA is interested in the Foxes again. There is no way they get away from a cartel in Mexico again so it might take NSA rescuing them or providing interference. This show likes macro photography doesn't it? Didn't need to see closeups of the goat head and entrails. Season 1 was about getting to Casa Roca. Season 2 they arrive in CR, now they may have to worry about escaping. My recollections of the movie, they didn't just get away they actually showed them adjusting and giving it a go living in the jungle. Dina and Margot are over it already and Allie realizes they shouldn't stay.
  14. Wow, didn't expect them to kill off Min so quick. They did kill off Sid and it was a surprise as well. Guess that's the nature of the spy game, life and death are at stake all the time. Apparently Lamb is going to be hands on in the game, not just snoring in his office with his feet up on his desk. Slovenliness is a cover, though you'd think he'd stand out when he was trailing that driver. But apparently he has sharp instincts and suspected all along that it wasn't an accident at all. So Louisa and Min were working a different case than the Cicada case that River is on, but Lamb warns River that Min is dead and to watch out. Marcus, the new agent who doesn't even have his own desk and computer, has a gambling problem and claims it doesn't affect his job at all, as he steps aside for a few minutes to call in a bet to a bookie when they were vetting those buildings for the meeting between the Russian leader and Lady Di. They all say that don't they, the slow horses, that they are good at their jobs but they were put in Slough House for some minor reason or a set up, as River believes. So some of them have a chip on their shoulder to vindicate themselves (River, Louisa) and get back to the Park while others think they've been sent to Slough House for some bullshit reason (Marcus, Jackson). River's legend is a journalist doing a story on Upshott/Cotswolds. But the potential cicada is checking him out and while River is over for dinner, the bald headed killer shows up. Taverner is aware of what's going on at Slough House, even if she's dismissive of them, while she has to try to please the Home Secretary, who sounds like a tool.
  15. Seems like they want the girls to have a lot of experiences with little consequences moving on. They don't get heartbroken or have long funks, it's onto the next. Few consequences, Canaan breaks up with Whitney, she's not too broken up. Leighton gives some chlamydia, still gets into the sorority, but for now is settling in with Tatum. I forget Kimberly's reaction to getting Nico in trouble and he has to go to another school but she's moved on. Bela was jealous, then wanted to date Eric ,which lasted a couple of minutes and got told off. But she'll move on, not dwell too much on what she did. Maybe towards the end of the series, when they're suppose to be on the verge of graduation, one or two of them will settle with someone they think is there lifelong partner or something. Or maybe actually have some consequences for awhile. College isn't just some guilt-free sexual romp for all. Some have deep heartbreak, some bond, some actually have growth.
  16. Eric is probably gone as a character now. These girls aren't going to be in boring monogamous relationships for a long time. Seems like they're fated to have a series of relationships. Whitney's reason for hooking up with her lab partner was his arms? Really low bar, though it's suppose to be about young women discovering themselves sexually so whatever works?
  17. Did Portia necessarily want to see Albie again after they slept together that night? She was volunteered to go to Palermo with Tanya and Jack was on the yacht. She probably didn't mind getting away from the older people. But did she want to spend more time with Jack or wanted to be done with him after the hookup?
  18. She said something like it had the largest population of college students when school was in session.
  19. Tori sure laid out the details, they were snuggling together in bed, she was naked under the covers. Then he cozied up to Nurys, who seem to think Jordan is really into her, how they kept locking eyes. Yeah he wanted to bang the hot young girl, he's not looking for a wife.
  20. When Derek and Claire completed the piano task the other teams paused, thinking it was over. It probably was but it must be tough, to be competing on the same task, the last task before the run to the finish line, only to see another team complete it while you're struggling. Then Derek and Claire ran across the piano of one of the other teams, though they were just standing not trying to complete the task.
  21. Heard that Jenkins was suppose to turn in a draft of a screen play and she turned in something else, like maybe some notes or something. WW 1984 underperformed so WBD is not in a tolerant mood apparently. Plus they're under financial pressure. Gunn is the one who supposedly made the decision. I don't see them giving up this property. They will make one before Gadot becomes too old.
  22. They're not used to use their own phones but they can borrow them as much as they like. A distinction without a difference?
  23. I will be curious about the kind of Dailies they do from now on. From couples-based to team-based.
  24. She should be grateful for any help she gets from the deck crew.
