I thought she was being funny, not serious, PW. I LOL'd.

It has been in medical care for YEARS. Decades, maybe.

Why in the world would anyone think Harry would behave like a trashy Housewife? I honestly don't get this.

Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L8hqLieRys

In your opinion, not mine. "greater range, colors, dynamics and expression" translates to me as more volume, vocal theatrics and hot-dogging, if you will - which may be entirely appropriate for the type of music he sings. You'll never hear that from Harry, because his is a much more controlled type of vocals.

Lucy and Swiffer survived another annual exam and shots. I'm always amused by how things turn around on vet day. The cat carrier I had to wrestle them into becomes the one spot they want to be once the vet is in the room. Lucy is my shy girl at home, but she growls at the vet (no biting or fighting - just growls of displeasure). Swiffer is my outgoing girl, but she whimpers, cries and tries to hide from the vet (I unzip my coat and let her stick her head inside). I have a soft carrier big enough for both, but Swiffer always ends up on top of Lucy. Or so I thought. After their exams, I put Swiffer in first, then Lucy. Lucy promptly crawled underneath Swiffer. LOL, OK, then. They're sleeping off their big adventure now. They've lost a bit of weight, but not much. Swiffer is 8 lbs, 7 oz and Lucy is 10 lbs, 7 oz.

Gotta disagree.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

:D I'm both Of A Certain Age AND grew up in Indiana, so this was my favorite song to listen to on the school bus - until I figured out it wasn't a good thing for Indiana to want you... Hate that Excedrin Mild Headache commercial and predict it will tank. I'd be embarrassed to buy mild headache pills - don't you know mine are the biggest, baddest, gotta have the migraine-strength stuff? And yes, I'm aware that until now, all Excedrin formulations were the same damned thing with different labels (migraine, extra-strength, back and body) slapped on the packages. You'll never lose money betting on the hypochondria of the American public. Also, I misheard the Mom with the whining kids the first time through. "Not bad enough for a lot of medicine, but (cut to annoying kids) still bad enough that you want a gun." Oops, that's "want it gone". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrQNVjbiSjo -
Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads

Seriously. Twenty years ago, if people said that deliberately paralyzing your muscles for beauty would be a thing, they'd have been laughed at. And yet, there's a lady at work who puts in overtime for her "botox fund". She gets her lips poufed, too, and wears false eyelashes to work! She looks ridiculous. -
Thank you!

This. -
I feel stupid asking, but... I've seen several people using "jidge" instead of "judge". Is this a slang term? What does it mean?

LOL. I'm sorry, but that's pretty funny. In the immortal words of Hee Haw - If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. -
Wasn't that in #4, red?
-
I think there's an echo in here.
-
That might very well be intentional on Geico's part.

That's pretty wild! I had to google the Plott Hound and Pyrenean Shepherd, because I'd only heard of the Great Pyrenees. Despite the similarity of the names, a GP and a PS are wildly different sizes! And Oscar kinda lucked out with a much more manageable Plott-like coat. He's cute.

American Idol Past Contestants: What Are They Up To Now?

:( That hits a little close to home, as my SIL was just diagnosed with endometrial cancer (they think they got it all, but it's still very stressful). -
Well, crap. I don't see Naomi.
-
Never mind, I found it. I liked Garrett and Naomi. Actually, Naomi gave me chills and I said out loud (to no one) "Damn, she's really good!" Hope to see more of them.

Oh Lord, Kate Gosselin is coming back to TV. The blurb ends with a shot of her shaking her head and rolling her eyes in disgust that she has to deal with - horrors - teenagers. Really, bitch? Didn't you actively seek fertility treatments to conceive those kids? And haven't you ridden that "8 children!" shtick to the bank and back? Aren't those kids your continuing meal ticket and the reason we even know who the hell you are? Shut the fuck up, lady! Plenty of people have dealt with teens without acting disgusted by their own offspring. Don't act like you're being imposed upon. And did I say "Shut the fuck up!" already? God, she's annoying. -

Maybe it's a combination of "kids! everybody loves kids!" and that it's more acceptable to see a child being impatient, throwing things, etc. If they showed adults behaving like that, it wouldn't elicit as much sympathy, perhaps? Not sure. -
Thanks, Rick! I think it looks to be a hoot as well.

I adore those ads. I especially like the seething hostility between brother Todd and sister Janice: "Your blog is just pictures of you in a mirror." "It's called a fashion blog, Todd." "Where's your wife, Todd?" And I have to laugh at her snarking on her own character "Give it a rest, Flo. "Yeah, give it a rest." She's well aware of how annoying Flo is.
