How is it that Carly is always outside Willow's room and making sure she gets taken care of most of the time we see her, she's at home or at the Metro Court of somewhere else plotting.

Since we never got the name of who was outside, until I see otherwise, I'm choosing to believe that the nurse was talking about Nina.

But in what hospital do the visitors make sure the people in isolation get their meds?

    Wasn't it Faison's house originally?

IIRC, Spoon Island was introduced during the Casey the Alien story. I always had the impression that the house was deserted at that time. But during the same story, Faison bought it.

I think these shows are getting desperate for drama so they are using a little shall we say creativity.

I agree. If nothing else, all the shots of the toilet backups suggested that they were  a little desperate for footage and had to fill an hour.

Additionally, I'm about the age of the women on the last cruise, and am still in touch with several of my college roommates. I can  guarantee that if we were on a super yacht we'd be very happy lazing about, drinking, chatting, and snacking;  none of us would want to go to a beach to play cornhole.

The first time in a long time that I've liked Carly when she was calling Michael on his garbage, and pointing out the danger of Sonny going to prison.

Michael: I don't see it that way.

Me: That's why you're a SLS. Not only did you think through all the possibilities of your actions, you won't accept them when someone points them out to you.

Shut up, Curtis. Just shut. up. I didn't hear any "hard truths" that Stella supposedly told him.

Vernee Watson must have needed to hit her minimums because I don't think I heard anything new in that talk. It would have been much more soapy if there had been a hard truth related to his parentage. But that would have requires some complexity, something GH plots seldom have.

Chase has to go: that comment toward Lucy was gross and very inappropriate. HR should sack his bum immediately.

I agree that Chase was out of control. But I also think he's being set up to be the jerk. Colin, Gary and Alex are all in their 30s; Chase is 24. He's doing things that drunken 24-year-olds do, and I think it's entirely possible that he's being encouraged to act that way, especially since it's already been made clear that the openly available women on the boat are not interested in him. He's not smart enough or worldly enough to stop and think -- which is too bad, since he seems to be a good worker.

I'm not sure what Robert is being so pissy about. Diane and Holly had a candid, mature conversation and Diane asked a valid question. It certainly wasn't the deciding factor. Or is he mad that Diane asked for insider information on the Carly/Drew/Sonny situation?

My impression was that it was the latter. When they first sat down together, I thought it seemed like he was going to commit to a relationship with her. After Olivia and the insider information issues, he appeared to have changed his mind.

I didn't want to see him with Diane in the first place, but if I were a grown woman like Diane and a man I was interested in basically told me that he was now interested in me because the other woman he was interested in had left town and didn't seem to want to pursue a relationship, I'm pretty sure I'd give him some walking papers, too, and tell him to find his consolation prize elsewhere.

Yeah I’m not remotely ok with people like Drew and Olivia giving Tracy crap

I will accept Ned and Brook giving her a hard time because she's immediate family and has always been in their lives in one way or another.

I take particular offense at Drew participating in the Tracy-baiting since he hasn't even known her for that long (if you take into consideration his loss of memory, his time being held captive, etc., etc., etc.)

He and Olivia are still outsiders, IMO, and should STFU. I just hope Brook Lynn is smart enough to be suspicious about why he's grilling her.

Stephen A Smith has decided to devote more time to acting, because eventually, he wants to be recognized as “arguably the greatest talent in television history”.

Would the people who don't watch ESPN and/or haven't been particularly impressed by his interpretation of the Brick character please raise their hands?

As a Nina fan and Carly hater, I must admit even I was taken aback by Nina’s plan! I hate the writing for Nina. It’s just all-around bad.

It was the Willow, Willow, Willow stuff that bothered me today. Having Nina talk about the wonderful relationship she'll have with Willow as soon as Carly goes to prison moves her into the obsessive/deranged category. They should have had Ava, who is usually the voice of reason with her, make some comment about it being possible that Willow still might not want Nina in her life.

Super jarring, especially since they gave her those heels to wear.

Curtis is a steam pile of turd. Let's see if his mantra on lies and honesty stops with him telling the truth about how he kissed Jordan then would have had sex with her if she hadn't stopped it.

And let's not forget he has told neither woman, one of whom is the police commissioner, about his working relationship with Ms Wu.

IMO, it's a tie between him and Carly/Drew for the most despicable character award.

  12. Today's unintended comedic line:

Curtis: Did I give up on my marriage too quickly?

Me : you gave it all of five or ten minutes . . . so maybe?

And, I've decided on a new drinking game: Take a shot every time someone abuses their "I" and "me" pronouns. Writers, there's nothing wrong with having your characters use correct grammar.

All four of them all seem on edge like this season, like they're not being 100% authentic/things are forced.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who has thought this. I don't know if that first engine problem threw them all off their game, if Gary's initial absence hurt this year's team-building, or if there are other factors.

Carly/Drew trying to blackmail Tracy is a huge misfire. Not only are they coming off like complete morons and seriously outmatched, Tracy is pretty well liked by the audience no matter what she does. This isn’t like Nina, who I think is much more polarizing

I had thought that Tracy was coming off as much more strident than usual today and was wondering why almost every single line was snark. But after reading the comments here, I understand. The writers had to make us dislike Tracy so we'd cheer for Carly and Drew.

    Not gonna happen.

I think she's just frustrated because the first charter was a shit show and made her look bad, and then Gary brought up this thing about having a stew on the tender which is a continuation of an argument that started last season. Only this time Glenn took Gary's side on that.

I understand the need for a stew on the shore if food is going to be served. I don't understand the need to always have a stew on the tender. I know Glenn was talking about quality of service, but if I were chartering a yacht and were riding in a tender to another location, I wouldn't really care who handed me a beer or a glass of wine.

Speaking of pathetic--or maybe more like unintentional comedy gold, I cracked up when Joss and Woody McWoodson were ~fighting, then suddenly he stiffly/awkwardly lumbered over to her and they started kissing.  They've got chemistry rivaling Carly and Drew.

Right after Sonny was mentioned. If anyone needed proof talking about Sonny turned them on, that was it.

. . . but either way Curtis. you scum [and honestly, I don't even find this attractive at all]. he threw a tantrum and divorced Jordan for not being honest. He wasn't honest with Portia [not justifying her lie by omission], and then threw  another tantrum about honesty. Now he's shoving his tongue down Jordan's throat wishing that they could have what they lost and wait for him to make a decision

I realized today that Curtis My Thoughts And Feelings Are The Only Ones That Matter Ashford is actually a Carly.

I'd be perfectly fine with Holly shuffling off to Australia or wherever the next con job will take her.  Cannot stand the character and ES just doesn't impress me as an actress.

Robert deserves better than either of them, but of the two, Holly gets my vote, even though I think the character should move on from grifting. Let her go back to Australia. Diane can go back to mob flunkies. Her romance with Max was mainly offscreen; there's no reason Robert and Holly's can't be mostly offscreen, too.

I’m amazed that Eden and Evan are in a relationship because Jex have zero chemistry.

As Joey Tribbiani explained to Chandler,  if there’s chemistry on stage they’re definitely not having IRL sex, but if there is no chemistry on stage then the actors are definitely having an affaIr and that’s used up all the chemistry.

Curtis: How secure is the laboratory security system? How do I know that it can't be tampered with?   Curtis, trust me, they are always tampered with.

We already know that Trina had a familial DNA test done through a mail-in ancestor site several years ago. Curtis should go that route, since in PC there's less chance of the sample being tampered with.

I think technically there are ratings.  But, a home shopping network wouldn't care about them as they're not selling ads.  What they would care about are sales of the product.  If other businesses with products to sell saw that lots of people were watching they might be more inclined to sell their wares there.  But, if the reason the viewing was high was because of a specific pitch person for another company, that's not going to translate to more views/sales for them.  So, yeah, it was stupid.

Major shopping networks care about sales. They're constantly collecting minute-by-minute data on sales -- who's doing the selling, what's being said when people call in, if it's being demonstrated, etc. If someone has a breakdown live, how many people were watching wouldn't matter to the network, but how many sales occurred because of it would. Once again, the bad dialog  is a failure of the writers to do minimal research.

So the stews need to clean rooms twice daily, do constant laundry, serve and clean up meals, decorate tables and for parties, and make sure the guests have everything they desire all day and night.  If I were one of them, I would jump at the chance of driving the tender just to get 5 minutes of peace.

I got confused by this -- in a previous incarnation of Below Deck (I don't remember which one) there was a deck hand that was definitely problematic, but part of the talk about keeping him on was that he was the only other person qualified to drive the tender, suggesting, at least to me, that a license or a certification of some kind was required.  Are the rules different now? Or do they differ from country to country? ETA: Or do they differ based on what production wants?

He's massively full of himself this season.  This is not why some of us liked Gary in the past, despite his f-boy ways.  We saw someone that worked hard, was good at his job and had self deprecating humor.  I'm waiting for his ego to take a hit this season.

In the past he seemed to care about all of the people he worked with and to be fair, he immediately went to check on Daisy.

But, overall, I think his status as a Bravolebrity has gone to his head.

Charter guest talking to Glenn while trying to dock is a new one, right?!

I have seen the deck crew jump thru hoops and give a perfect 5 star service and not get $23,000, this trip included an injury, a burned dress and big lapse of time between courses. I believe more than ever that the tip amount is fake, production decides the amount and it is the same wad of money for every charter, we never see the crew with their whole big wad of tip money at the end of each season.

Quite a few seasons back, when Kate was still on OG Below Deck, there was quite a bit of online discussion about a rather low tip. The guest, defending himself, posted that production had told him to tip even less than he had. That convinced me that production determines a set amount for the season and then divvies it up among the charters in ways that could cause drama.

My thought was that if the crew people sign a contract to appear on the show, there's probably a set amount of money somewhere in that contract that they're guaranteed to make. How that's divided between "salary" and "tips" is up to the producers.
