  1. There are maritime traffic maps  that show  ships and pleasure vessels on the Great Lakes in real time and webcams in just about every port along the way. @nilyank is right, there's only one way to the Atlantic. Even the PCPD should be able to find them -- unless Victor somehow can use the PC wormhole to take them to the coast of Bolivia.

  2. The only problem I had with today's episode: I refuse to believe that a more or less 20-year-old wouldn't have texted somebody the minute that boat started to move.

Anybody else getting flashbacks to 1981 with Luke, Laura, and Robert on a yacht?  I'm trying to decide if I appreciate this as an anniversary callback to a different era of GH or if I'm ticked at the writers for not being able to come up with something new.

I’m so glad Sailing is back.  Comparing other versions to SY, those other versions come up short.  I’m sure Glenn, Daisy, Colin, and Gary have something to do with it (I missed Eddie so much on OG version).

I think it's because the four of them were on the show before the whole BD franchise became a reality star testing ground and they've continued on the show because they like their jobs. Additionally, they seem to basically be nice people.

Ew that Michael is boasting about being a former Magic Wand and he'll give Willow a private show when she's feeling better. I really could have done without hearing that.

Particularly since he wasn't very good.

They truly are a chemistry-free couple. That didn't even sound sexy.

I'm not a fan of recap shows like we got last night.  It was a waste of time.

It was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't particularly care about seeing the celebrity visits again, and I was very surprised they included the military veteran who had pretty much falsified her entire backstory (and got her gown free).

Is the the end of the season? If so, that's another disappointment.

Nice montage of JZ's years on the show. I was hoping we'd get a clip of Bobbie with Elizabeth after the rape, because JZ was so good in those scenes. And of course, even today I get choked up at the BJ's heart scenes.

The BJ scene made it dusty in my house too.

However, this has been bothering me for the last 24 hours: the only person to blame for the loss er,  disappearance of the bracelet is its guard. How in the heck did Gladys manage to leave the room without him following? If nothing else, almost everyone has seen Ocean's 8; those guards followed the jewelry to the bathroom.   The guard was sleeping on the job. (Yeah, I know the necklace in the movie still got stolen, but that was the point of the caper.  It wasn't a spur of the moment idea.)

The Mom could have told the truth to her daughter and let her try it on before putting the Kleinfeld staff to all the trouble of pulling gowns and steaming the Mom's. Daughter immediately recognized it, what else could she have done than to try it on? I did not like this at all.

It wouldn't be too improbable to suspect that the producers might have suggested the "trying on the mother's gown" twist when making the arrangements for them to appear on the show.

  8. My random thoughts;

    * Marked safe from Milo's Magic Wands today.

    - - - - - -

I thought the nursing staff's opening number was pretty good. However, I was disappointed in the size of the crowd. Since such a big deal was made about this being GH's 60th anniversary, it's too bad someone couldn't spring for some CGI to make the room and audience appear larger, or even encourage all the production crew to have their families fill in as nonspeaking bodies in the background. They definitely paid for some dancers.

Speaking of dancers, I don't think I've ever liked seeing FH dance. I know she has a background as a dancer, but she's never looked entirely at ease when she's performed (on GH, anyway).

Finally, Lucy became really annoying today. Will she have any guilt over Valentin being shot?

The fitting gal's mother was a freaking nightmare stage mom. Making it all about her. 'Oh I wish I was getting g married!' Any mother or friend accompanying a bride who says that, I just have no time for.

When I saw the "previously" clips, I remembered her because I was convinced that her wearing orange meant she was planning  to stand out. If I'm not mistaken, she was also wearing a white dress at her daughter's wedding.

The show seems afraid to Trina & Joss at odds or disagree on big things(To an extent, I can understand why). But notice how Cam calls Spencer out & can still love/support him or better yet Cameron holds Spencer's feet to the fire because he cares for Spencer. Meanwhile Joss & Trina? None of that. I don't  think the writers realize that makes their friendship look somewhat shallow & dull.

Interesting point -- especially since -- if I remember correctly -- part of being a teenage girl (and even young college student) involves some kind of drama about . . . just about everything.

  11. Sonny was being pretty jerky to Ms Wu today. It's probably not particularly wise to ask for help then be an a$$ about it, since you've already demonstrated a weakness in a business that's pretty unforgiving.

After Drew's appearance today, I'm convinced that he's another with high minimums that have to be met. He's becoming more grating by the day.  Did anyone else catch the line about how he'd dropped off the orphaned dogs at the Q's? Poor Monica.

It got a little dusty in my house toward the end of the episode. The final scene between Becky and WL was nicely done and affected me more than I expected.

Willow is having her transplant in two days and not only isn't she in isolation, but she hasn't had major chemo to obliterate her diseased bone marrow.  i fully except her to be recovered enough to perform at the NB at this rate.

Not just perform, but step in at the last minute, unrehearsed, and save the day.😉

I am on Team No to Diane and Robert. Why couldn't Victor also drop her off a bridge?

I'll join your team. Diane is a slick mob lawyer. Robert is and always has been a good guy. They do not belong together.

There is no way Eileen could survive that fall, she had a 3-5 sec scream which just faded off with no thud or splash at the end.

I'd like to think she fell into the Port Charles wormhole, but I suspect that the stream under the bridge probably eroded the surrounding land to Grand Canyon-like depths.

WOW, by the length of Eileen's scream...... what canyon was that bridge over?

Didn't Sam fall down that same slope/canyon before giving birth through her pants?

Does someone have a scorecard on how many times falling into the water actually kills the person? Ryan, Esme, and Sonny have all survived.

I've pointed out before that since Saint Jason's dock and roll, no one has died in the waters surrounding Port Charles. Clearly, he imbued them with lifesaving powers.

  16. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't what I saw. First of all, I think Captain Lee deserved an hour, not a measly 30 minutes. He was instrumental in helping make the franchise and its spinoffs successful for Bravo. And while I can understand them showing his compassionate side by including the guy who Capt. Lee reached out to as well as the Queen of Versailles since we saw them discuss the loss of his son, it felt like more like a plug for some of their other shows than a way to honor him, especially since that sequined housewife who went on a cruise was there as well.

I would have rather seen more clips of previous seasons or more talking heads from the people he had worked with. I imagine Bravo had no intentions of including anyone who had said negative things about the network, so that's probably why we didn't get Rachel, Eddie, and some others.  Ironically, we got to see still-vacuous Elizabeth wishing him well, although -- I guess, true to form -- she seemed to lose track of what she was saying about halfway through her message.

  17. Ballgowns on big-busted women are almost always going to be a fail just because  big busts take up a lot more geography on the torso. When a dress balloons out at the waist, it's never going to be flattering because there isn't enough space between the bust and the waistline, so I'm glad Red moved away from the ballgowns. I'm glad she was happy with the dress she chose, but I can't believe there wasn't a design in the store that was somewhere between the two extremes she was choosing from.

And, for my picky rant of the week: The other bride had me yelling RHINESTONES! RHINESTONES! in my head. I'd actually rather hear shoppers say "bling" or "bedazzled" rather than call the embellishment "diamonds." And I'm a little disappointed that Randy referred to "diamonds", too. He could have at least called them faux diamonds. I'll go sit in the corner now.

Did I miss something? Didn't Spenser tell Sonny that Dex and Joss were an item? How come he hasn't kiledl him yet, Joss?

I was really hoping that when Sonny asked to talk to Joss outside that he was going to tell her he knew about Dex as a way of trying to tell her that she needed to be a little more alert than usual.

I can only hope that he's saving the information until a time it will have maximum impact on Joss. But I'm afraid it's more likely that somewhere down the road the writers will have him saying that if he'd known before (whatever event) that he'd have done something about it.

  19. What I found interesting was that LeighAnn said she met with Camille when the filming ended. So, Camille hung around in (what is probably a pretty expensive port) town for a couple weeks just waiting to vacation with Ben?

The whole bunch of them are nuts.

The Giant Baby was adorable today.  Literally stole the show!

I know it was just happy circumstance, but I loved it when beautiful, well-behaved baby bighead began crying when evil Victor entered the room.

  21. I am really disappointed that we're having a strip show again this year. It's always caused me second-hand embarrassment because some of the performers are always so bad. (ex: Chad, I'm thinking of you and the times you were visibly counting.) I never really liked Milo, and I don't think of him as a legacy character or even a fan favorite, so there's no need to bring him back.
