  1. I guess that I'm at a table for one since I didn't particularly like that dress. It had too many random elements. It had a slit. It had what was some type of overskirt. It had a big-ass bow in the back. IMO, it would have been more attractive if it had just one unusual feature. Personally, I liked the slit and would have dumped that bow.

  2. Cam probably is Spencer's best friend, since he doesn't have any other friends.

And, as for the soccer argument, I don't think it's that Cam likes playing soccer at PCU as much as Cam likes playing soccer, period, and if he can get a scholarship to do it, all the better, since I don't think we ever heard that PCU had offered him one.

For the heck of it, I looked it up, and Stanford's team ranks 9th nationally*, so kudos to the writers for sending him to a good soccer school.

*PCU was not in the top 25. 😉

Alexis can STFU and take several seats. When she was going through her issues, be it aftermath of Neil’s death-murder, her blink-and-you-missed-it-Osteoporosis, and drinking, she shut EVERYONE out. What she did was butt into Gonzo’s business that she had no right to do. And now she’s all offended and outraged that he “LIED” to her.

Probably the first thought of anyone else hearing about that situation would have been that Gonzo was lying to avoid telling Alexis he didn't really want the job she was offering. That this occurred to no one in Port Charles is not surprising.

But after today's episode, with his nearly passing out and slurred speech, I imagine we're going to find out he's got a tumor of some kind.

It almost makes me said that Willow isn't going to die.

I'm still hoping for something really soapy like Willow being hit by a meteor* on her way to the hospital.

While I think it’s probably true, it’s still just a rumor.  Nothing’s official, there hasn’t been any announcement.

Oops! You're right. I  rechecked the original article and it just said, "insiders say".

I  hope they let Capt. Lee leave with some dignity, though.

  6. I think Captain Lee wanted to "finish what he started." I can understand him wanting to finish this season and ride off into the sunset rather than just fading out of memory after leaving in the middle of the season and never returning. The announcement's already been made that Capt. Kerry will be doing BD next season, so I imagine there were some negotiations to let him return for an official farewell. I did think it interesting, though, that we saw him make the obligatory "Sandy did a good job" comments, though, considering the audience knows what he said when the series actually aired.

I was going to give Katie a little slack, since I took some crap in the romance department when I was in my early 20s before I got older and wiser. Then I looked up her age and learned she is 31. She is either entirely delusional or is pursuing Ross to get the cameral time. I'm not sure which is worse. Although we've been watching for a couple months, in real time it was only a few weeks, and when you compress all their behavior into the actual timeframe that should have been enough for Katie to buy a clue.

I think Ross a good manager of his team, and he cleans up nice when he's in his whites. And that's all I have to say about that.

  7. I agree about the Maggie Sottero dress. It's one of the few that I've seen during my years of watching this show that's caused me to say, "I'd buy that."  It was much more flattering on her than the Randy dress that she chose. I do find it ironic, though, that while we were seeing her in a beautiful satin dress Randy was telling 3B grandma that there weren't many satin gowns in the store (and I understand he was trying to advocate for the bride . . . just a bad editing choice.)

Maybe if the overskirt had been the same fabric as the dress it would have been more attractive. I'm glad the bride was happy, but it left me wondering why anyone would want to add an overskirt like that to a gown with the lines she was specific about wanting.

I’m sure whenever this wraps up, we’ll get another poor Curtis storyline in the form of Trina not being interested in a father/daughter relationship

Don't forget that there's a possible poor Curtis -- he agreed to work with a gangster but never imagined it would come back and  bite him in the butt story.

For what it's worth, I watched a movie (Triangle of Sadness) that featured white glove service on a large yacht. The stews wore white gloves of course, and they choreographic and synchronized all of their movements, such as setting down plates and removing warmer covers in unison. One hand was behind the back when both hands were not in use.

We saw some of this in earlier seasons of BD. They'd get the deck crew to help serve, and they did choreograph the placement of plates and the removal of covers.

Interesting that those little niceties seem to have gone by the wayside as the quality of the guest has declined . . .

  10. From the Yahoo review of the episode: 🤣

    Quote

Captain Lee is pleased to return to his crew so unified. He thinks Captain Sandy Yawn has done a great job. Little does he know she essentially tortured them until they huddled together like little ocean orphans waiting for the storm to pass. Or maybe it was the volleyball. I guess we’ll never know.

  11. Willow today passed bitch for me and moved into the C U Next Tuesday realm -- which, unbowdlerized,  is a term that I generally hate. But she has become truly vile.

In other news, if Drew wants brownies, he'd better put on  some clothes and get his ass back to the kitchen. Nobody wants brownie crumbs on those white sheets.

  12. From Wikipedia: "Edible gold is a particular type of gold authorized by the European Union and the United States as a food additive, under the code E 175. It is used in the haute cuisine in a gastronomical trend towards extravagant meals. It can be employed in foods and beverages such as in cookies decoration, wines or liquors; as sushi garnishment; or over ice cream. There are neither negative effects nor benefits from eating high-carat, food-grade gold since it is biologically inert, and it is usually suitable for use in food since it does not oxidize or corrode in moist air, unlike many other metals."

  13. She was never on BD.

I imagine a great many of us have probably thought that Captain Lee returning to BD was his swan song. He's a fan favorite, and I'm sure the producers saw the value in having him complete the season.

She may have said what many people thought, but there's a difference between thinking it and saying it, out loud, to someone who you know will let the universe know you said it. Not a classy move at all.

And, related to nothing, she has an incredibly annoying accent.

What will happen next week?  . . .   Will Ben pick up where he left off with the new stew?

My prediction: By the end of the next episode: Ben: "Camille who?"

Okay, not to beat a dead horse (but I am a Taurus so it's kind of my MO)  but as someone really only watching Sprina clips am I to understand that the only reason Michael is angry at Sonny is because he cheated on Carly?

Well, that, and also he wouldn't kill Nina.

And Dex as AJ's son would be good soap.

Do the PCPD just let anybody in to see a prisoner if they claim to be their attorney?

Well, no one seemed to notice that she bore an amazing resemblance to the woman who was the face of an ad campaign for a major brand, or the woman who was arrested for smashing the windshield of a reporter's car, or the woman who had an emotional meltdown on tv . . .  so . . . sure . . . she had to be a lawyer.

Either that, or the PCPD's daily Berate a Prisoner hours have been moved from the cells to the interrogation rooms for the comfort of the visitors.

  17. The first time we saw Esme holding the baby, there was just a flash of a look on her face that I'd call devious. I would not be surprised to learn that childbirth restored her memory. Her comment to Spencer about doing anything for his little brother could create some interesting complications.

I wonder if Sandy learned from Camille's lengthy boat departure, complete with never-ending Ben tears and several people to help her pack and decided that there must be a better way to send off the next crew member.  Either that, or Sandy just felt it was personal and wanted to make a point to Alissa that her disrespecting the captain is a new low.

In the past,  we've seen the Captain tell the fired crew member, "You have an hour to pack your things and leave the boat." That seems to be the professional way to do it

It wasn't the woman who refused to share a bed who slept in the salon it was the one she basically kicked out of the room who ended up in the salon. When Capt. Lee found out about this he gave up his room to accommodate this woman. The woman who refused to share a bed was a total bitch the entire trip.

These people should know how many cabins and beds are on the boat before they agree to be part of the cruise.

I found an interview with the woman who refused to share a bed. In it, she says the producers promised her her own room. OK. But what I thought was more interesting was what some of us have always suspected. She said she didn't know any of the other people until they met for their "vacation."

I can understand not wanting to share a bed with a stranger.

But I think a better person would have volunteered to take the sofa instead of kicking the roommate out.

So maybe this episode's couch sleeper was being a slightly better person.

I think there are a number of us who have learned the hard way that "sleeps four", for example,  very often means two double beds.

Didn't the time with Captain Lee, the lady was thrown out of her cabin by her roommate because she didn't know her and the one who threw her out was awful?  That said. I would and have shared a room with someone else,  but I would not share a bed.  It almost looked like the bed in Laqueefa's cabin ( where are you Shangela?) was a double.

IIRC that guest said she thought she'd be sharing a room, not a bed, so she took the sofa in the lounge until Capt. Lee gave her his room. I think the woman on this charter probably felt the same way. I think Captain Sandy had already gone to bed when this season's situation occurred. It'll be interesting to see if she does anything about it on night #2.

I haven't shared a bed since I was in my 20s on spring vacation and 4 of us would sleep in one room. Now, on any trip where I even suspect I might have to share a room, I'll offer to pay a single supplement right away.
