These storylines sucked. Genevieve loves the parents who kidnapped her as a baby... so we are going to let her choose to continue to live with them as a 15 year old because Dad is a ne’er do well. A ne’er do well that might have made something of his life if his daughter hadn’t disappeared, ‘ Parents’ who ran rather than have her face the music. And we are all supposed to clap our hands. Let’s explain this to parents in the real world whose children were kidnapped by noncustodial exes, or ‘friends’.
Vance’s daughter is taking the rap for a crime she didn’t commit for a ne’er do well friend- and he’s letting her do it.

I didn't like the Whiz kids at the beginning, but I laughed when Walter had to admit they had good ideas. Don’t want any more episodes of Walters Whiz kid show though.
It was a great episode overall.

Paige was on the show for a long time before they paired her with Walter. They could have left her with the baseball player. They didn’t need to pair Paige and Walter. Paige and Walter are not a believable couple. Walter and Flo are.

I thought the conviction was awful. There was no evidence that she did it/ just a theory. They didn’t say she hadn’t had a bathroom occurrence in the closet as evidence that she had just put herself in there. They had no evidence that she did put herself in there- just a theory that she could. Seemed like a lot of reasonable doubt to me.
As a parent of an adult with a seizure disorder.... seizures play havoc with your short term memory. Both before and for hours afterward. They give you a headache and make you very tired. It doesn’t matter that you haven’t had one for a while- that doesn’t mean you are ‘cured’. It means you are taking your medication and it is currently working. You may forget your medicine, or get sick, or suffer lack of sleep, or see strobe lights( for some people), or who knows what and bang, there is a seizure. They can be years apart for some people, and minutes for others. There is no cure for a seizure disorder without a known cause.
If ‘ well she could have done it’ is enough for a conviction.... then let’s pray none of us just happen to walk down a street where a body is later discovered. Or live in the same apartment building as a murder victim.

The show did go against type by the corrupt parole officer storyline- but otherwise, it’s pretty conservative. Also often too preachy.
One bad writing comment. What woman is going to leave her car on a big city street with the windows rolled down and her purse inside? When Mrs. hit and run victim was told by Danny to get out of her car and come with him, that’s exactly what she did.

I needed more than that. It took me a while to warm up to Will- a character that I now really like. I didn’t see Mauve as Reid’s girlfriend because she was there so briefly and as a plot device. Beth was an off/on again character also. So, for me, I need Reid to slowly develop a relationship with a woman- one that isn’t damaged or in hiding.

Matthews fans are probably part of the problem. Matthew himself only wants to work part time( hence the Every 3 month seminar plot)... so he’s part of the problem too. Adding a real long term romance into a show takes time. Meaning Matthew would need to show up more.

Do they have periodic check-ins? Maybe he goes for a weekend every few months.

I believe Charlene and Judson were tethered. They are both gone now, hence the need for new people to be tethered. They were a guardian and librarian pair. However- I think we will eventually find out that the two don’t need to be in those positions- nor do they need to be a romantic couple. So Jenkins and Cassandra are my suggestions.

Billy by himself seems like he would be able to get it together and function. But he couldn’t even get to the detox center without her. Until he can decide he’s better off without her, he’s toast. I don’t think he will ever decide that because he has a kid with her.
I agree Tiffany has anger and several other issues besides drugs. Her parents were addicts, or at least her Dad was. Mom left, so who knows. I dont think her relatives really understand all of her problems. I also don't think they have ever denied her a thing in her life... until the baby was born addicted. Billys’ Mom is the one setting the rules there.

With all the discussion of tethering- seems like Cassandra and Jenkins are the real ties to the library. I would assume that it was Charlotte as a guardian that was tethered with Judson( ?) because Jenkins was already immortal.
It was a good episode. Thought for sure museum owner was going to turn out to be the widow. I was wrong and glad I was- liked the way it ended.
Cassandra is still too perky.

It was really sad to see Billy jump out of the SUV. He and Tiffany have such a dysfunctional co- dependent relationship. I don’t see their lives ending well and I think the ending will come soon. I hope Tracey can succeed in sobriety/ but it will be hard being related to Tiffany.
the other one- Zac? Is in deep denial. I hope he changes his mind. Kids need more than food and water.

Just once I’d like to see this crew be able to post a photo caption without all the required Christian jargon and hashtags. Not every single minute of the day requires a bible reference or buzzword. They are like the man beating his chest saying ‘look at me, aren’t I a wonderful person’ In the parable.

I like Anthony. I however don’t want to see him in a relationship with Erin until Erin can treat him as an equal. She doesn’t. She also showed him little respect on the scene where she said he shouldn’t have gone alone. He’s a cop, not a clerk.
Nicky could be a defense attorney.

The bar fire wasn’t that long ago. The bars been rebuilt- which would have included any existing landline. Pride just must not have hooked up a phone to it after that to test it.

JD wanted to fly planes. He made this fact known years ago. He took flying lessons. Yes, he flies for Mom and Dad. Yes that’s easier than flying for others. However- when Mom and Dad airline folds- JD will be able to fly planes for others. No one has said JD has given his parents the proverbial finger. What we have tried to say is that JD will be able to financially provide for himself. And that he doesn’t seem to be thinking he needs to be married just because Mom and Dad thinks he does.
Also - no one has said that Jill and Jana didn’t carry their weight on fire calls. They didn’t wear the skirts on calls- just at firehouse social or professional functions.
I disagree with a whole lot of Duggar nonsense- but I recognize things that they are doing at least ok at.

The volunteer fire departments takes all comers b cause there are so few.- especially during weekdays. If the Duggar females passed the required tests and did the duties when they showed up- that’s all that was expected. The fact that they were there to watch their brother wasn’t important. Our small village fire department members are often related.

I am on the side that JD will be ( and probably is already) able to financially support himself without JB. Yes, he works with and for JB a lot. However, he’s also worked with the public. Towing customers, construction customers, constable interaction, volunteer firefighter calls. He managed to get himself a property thru bartering his heavy equipment skills. I think he does understand his family is nuts. I think he is single and childless on purpose. I also think he has a great work ethic and probably can function in real-time as long as the Duggar clan doesn’t slow him down.
You will note that he manages to exclude himself from a lot of Duggar trips. I think that’s his doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t removed himself from the dorm. I’d keep that a secret from the general public too in order to limit having to deal with the obsessed on his doorstep.
I didn’t include him in my list of 3 that left the fold because I think he needs to leave the region before I can include him.

Every time i come here people are talking about a commercial I have never seen. I watch a lot of tv. Obviously some commercials only play in big markets. I count my blessings for that.

I didn’t like him either and, in real life, I’d hate for a child to have go live with someone that didn't want them and wouldn’t be a good parent. However, I just can’t go with rewarding the parents who kidnapped a child because they wouldn’t be allowed to adopt.
