  1. I can't figure out the floor plan of this house. Where do all of those doors in the hallway go to? I thought maybe Shrek and Jillybean's bedroom on the left, but we know the hallway outside of their love nest is covered with photos of her. The rooms must be TINY because it is only like 1300 sq ft (outside of the print shop)
  2. Ya know Jill, NO ONE is forcing you to do the traveling ministry. In fact, you could stay home, your husband could get a paying job, you could send your kids to school and feed them, and still volunteer and work for your church and your community. In fact, I would say that would make you better Christian as the money and resources you grift from these churches could be used to do some actual good.
  3. Many infant swimsuits now have built in swim diapers - we just bought one for my niece this past weekend
  4. I have to say, I really like how she let Gideon help and how he is obviously comfortable using tools. She and Austin really seem to take a genuine delight in parenting and engaging with him. He just seems like a happy, secure little dude!
  5. It sounded to me like normal sibling annoyances - when you have kids sharing a room, you lay down the law and deal with it. (also, my boys slept in bunkbeds for years - I'm not sure that 5-year-old legs easily reach to kick the top bunk repeatedly) Jessa was 5 - I'm not sure calling her a selfish bitch at that age is fair - she was a kindergartener. Her reaction actually sounds like an age appropriate reaction to being told what to do by sibling acting like (and given the powers of) a parent. The actual parents should have given her an appropriate punishment - I agree that she probably wanted attention - even negative attention - from her parents.
  6. I used to play this with my kids because their exaggerated facial expressions were so darn cute - I don't think there is anything nefarious here. Giddy seems a happy, well-adjusted boy. Again, Austin is one of only two kids, so I don't think that they will have an enormous family. They may be like my husband and I were and had all of our kids close together so that we could get that stage of life over with.
  7. More red flags than the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! To his credit, that pastor looks incredibly uncomfortable in the picture. I can see Jill insisting on it despite his protestations. Poor Gabriel - he always looks so eager to please and is the one I most want to rescue. I don't think he gets much positive attention (nor do the other not-Timothy boys. I can't even remember their names without looking them up)
  8. I looked at the listing - it's propane, which we have too. It's cheaper than electric, but for a house that size, with little or no insulation, it will still cost a bit. They are also on well and septic, so there is some savings there (as long as nothing goes wrong and they schedule regular maintenance...but I have no faith that they will do that)
  9. Wow, their old house was so outdated - some paint and new handles on the cabinets would have made a huge difference (and removing those wooden valances over the windows) But damn, the new place is about 1000 square feet smaller - almost 1/2 the size of the old place. Only 1300 sq ft is listed as living area, the other 1200 sq ft is the workshop There are places that have occupancy codes for square footage per person in the house, and for sleeping areas (the ranges I've seen vary from 70-50 per person for sleeping areas and 70-100 for overall space). Their current place has about 10 sq ft per person...and that was before David added bathrooms and partitions. That is "1900 NYC tenement" levels of space. There is no way he has pulled the proper permits or had any inspections on his improvements either. I am also positive that they are on a septic system that far in the country and that system that is in no way equipped to handle two more bathrooms and 15 people unless they are having it pumped every 4-6 months. ETA: Did anyone notice that there is a photo of Jill taped to David's computer monitor? It's not like he left the house to go to work. I guess to keep him accountable from googling anything.
  10. That house is tiny (and dirty - i am hardly a germaphobe but that floor made me itch)! Also, why are there chairs at the grifted table...I thought they got benches with it?
  11. In the picture of the master bedroom from the hallway, I counted 30...THIRTY pictures of Jill and OfJill
  12. I am predicting that those purple satin, dropped waist monstrosities that Nurie sewed last year will be the bridesmaids dresses. Jill, as Matron of Honor, will of course be in white.
  13. It just occurred to me that these kids (particularly Timothy, Nurie, Kaylee, and Renee) have no access to social media at all and my not know about how certain Duggars (particularly Jill and Jinger) or Bates have started to move away from their parents' dictums and forged their own paths. Even within the Keller family, they have children that have moved completely away from fundie-ism and are not shunned. A whole new world is opening up for her--Mama Jill has no idea. My prediction is that within 6 months, Timothy will move to Florida to join the Keller Brothers landscaping business. I only hope Nathan is as nice and hard-working as he seems and they plot to get the not-Nurie's to Florida, one at time. Then they all plot to keep Shrek and his handmaiden in Ohio.
  14. To be fair...none of the postings made in Timothy's name were actually by Timothy. We have no idea what he really thinks or says
  15. In my opinion, Zoey and Simon have great friend chemistry, but no romantic chemistry. Maybe it's just me projecting on Zoey and Max because my husband and I were close work friends for years when suddenly we were both free and realized that we wanted to be together. In fact, people were always trying to set us up, not realizing that we were already married (we hid our dating and marriage until I left that work place - no rules, it was just something we didn't want to share with work people yet - it was fun to spring "Surprise, we've been married for almost a year" at my farewell party!)
  16. Val made the mistake of having an idea (for the swan) and trying to make it fit into the seahorse theme. It's hard to shift once you are wedded to an idea. I would have done seahorse shaped eclairs filled with that pineapple and dulce she made...or made those cookies but instead of one large one, make individual ones in a seahorse shape (or with a piped seahorse on top)
  17. What is her definition of saved? If the person just says "Sure" when she asks if they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior" does that count without them having to do any work (such as going to church, studying, going through a conversion ceremony, or doing good works) at all? What if the kids were already Christian and just said "sure" when she asked the question. Does she count that as saving them, even though they may go to the "wrong" church? I find it hard to believe that that many people find her instantly compelling and charismatic. I think she counts anyone who replies to her as being saved by her.
  18. Notice she says '"gave" them half a cow - not "let them buy" I'm sure that those farmers were terrified that the kids would literally starve. What was Jill's plan if they couldn't grift meat?
  19. I love this weird little show. I was never a Lake Bell fan, but she has won me over with this. I hope this show doesn't go the way of The Kids Are Alright (another mismarketed gem)
  20. I actually can't hate on Joy for this - she handled her loss with grace and dignity, especially in the face of all those nieces and her best friend having a baby girl around when Annabell was due. The fact that she spoke so candidly about her period and her fears, plus Austin's reaction, actually warmed my black heart. I also like that she turned first to Abby AND is seeing a proper doctor. Of all the Duggar husbands, I actually like Austin the best because I think he knows the value of a hard day's work, seems to hate being on camera, genuinely seems to love his wife and son, and I think he has little use for the lazy Duggar men (although I wish he would go get some actual plumbing/electrical certifications). It still astounds me that JimBob did not send all of his kids to trade schools and start a contruction company
