  1. I liked Christmas House 2 (I've never seen the first one) but I didn't like the way the producer was pushing all that drama on to Mike. It was making him uncomfortable.
  2. I've been thinking about the problems the agents had this past season and I wonder if Christine is embarrassed that her lying was shown for the world to know. But also, she looks like she actually believes her lies which is very scary. Her husband is delusional. Doesn't he realize that if she lies to everyone else she's lying to him about God knows what? This whole season was very fishy and disjointed.
  3. I'm almost done binge watching. Here's my thoughts: First of all they all dress like they're going clubbing! Wow those heels they wear. I'm a realtor and I'm sure to wear flats when I show houses. I'm embarrassed for the girls because of the way they treated the client Cho (who btw is so hot!!!) at the pool of the hotel. I'm not sure about them going out to dinner with their clients. Rena is the most beautiful and classy looking of all the agents but she's a whiner. She was right about not being in the marketing material picture, especially due to the fact that she had to leave for her daughter's play. The commission structure was devious. I can't believe she didn't discuss it ahead of time. I'm shocked how Alexis did that showing with Tenille's client! I've never seen a realtor (on TV) not know the specs of the house. "That tree is called the Tree of Life lol) Lobster on waffles???? These girls can eat and drink..and nobody gains a pound. Maybe it's my old age but I cannot stand when everybody talks at the same time and over each other...even though I have closed captioning on. This is why I don't watch the Housewives of . . . . . I like this a little more than Selling Sunset (Season 3) because it wasn't all gossip about one agent and we got to see so much more real estate and clients.
  4. Finally got around to watching Season 4 today....I'm up to Episode 7. I don't think Chrishelle looks good this season. What did she do to her face or is it the makeup? She used to be so pretty. Maya is a shit stirrer but it doesn't seem as much as previous seasons. I believe new girl is a shit stirrer too. I'm sick of the same old story every episode. All they do is gossip.. I'm a realtor and I never see anyone from my company. I work mostly from home. I'm sure my broker would love us to come in and sit at a desk and talk about another co-worker. Not!!
  5. Watch Blending Christmas yesterday and turned it off halfway through. I was excited to see the Bradys but they did not hold my interest. The venue was so not Christmasy and for some reason that annoyed me. I did not see the end and I did wonder if they made it snow on Christmas Eve. I did not like the leads I did not like the premise .. I rolled my eyes at them all trying to recreate her childhood memories and go to her favorite resort. Eh..I had better things to watch. My DVR is filled with Christmas movies..
  6. I like the way they said Shan had an idol. She stole that idol!!!
  7. Whew...Thank God. Bye Ricard! Well Liana...finally Xander doesn't have his immunity idol any more.
  8. Why aren't the 2 girls and Xander not talking about voting Ricard off????
  9. Just watched Sister Swap. It started out fine but as it went along I got more and more annoyed. One sister owns a restaurant that is up for a big competition yet she leaves for her hometown because her uncle passed and she wanted to be there for her parents. Her uncle owned a theater and they were trying to either sell it or keep it. Meanwhile she really isn't doing much at the town except for hanging around with her ex high school boyfriend. At the same time her sister, who stayed at the restaurant to "help" out, even though she had no restaurant experience keeps calling her with problems and yet laughing like an idiot as she's telling her. The restaurant owner has to go to the restaurant to fix the problems and her son wants to stay in the town...the hell with the fact that the mom's business is in Salt Lake. Everything got tied up in a bow at the end. I'm not a fan.
  10. I saw Eight Gifts of Hanukkah last night. It is the top contender for my favorite movie this year. I loved everybody in the cast, the storyline was not mushy and I enjoyed all of the Jewish references. I agree that he shouldn't have been angry she didn't know it was him as he never asked her out or shown any interest in her. Also Bubbe gave him an awful lot of things for a non-family member. I also saw A Very Merry Bridesmaid which I thought was ok. The way the guy kept bringing up her birthday when nobody in her family even mentioned it was strange. And then they did a whole thing at the wedding? I don't know of any bride that would appreciate somebody stealing their thunder at their wedding. (I read too much Wedding Shaming on Facebook...lol). Also....2 weeks to find the luggage??? I'm not sure that happens. Anytime they lost something of ours we got it back the next day or 1 day later. I got to see One Royal Holiday this morning and actually liked it. I'm looking at you Aaron Tveit...yummy. It was the usual Prince and American but there was a twist as it took place in the U.S.A and the Christmas Gala was actually here instead of in the fake country. What a coincidence that she took care of his father in the hospital last year...right? Edited to add: I found my boyfriend Luke Macfarlane in Chateau Christmas this morning and watched again even though I had seen it before (before I realized he was my Hallmark holiday movie boyfriend). Whew...I watch too much TV
  11. Spent the afternoon on HULU with my daughter. Santa's Helper: Cute movie with Mike the Mix being a hard assed executive who loses his job and Santa wants to hire him to be the Ho-Ho-Ho (VP of Christmas). Actually funny and enjoyable. 12 Pups of Christmas: Strange movie about a dog therapist who's fiancé leaves her at City Hall right before getting married stating that he was having an affair with her best friend. She moves to California for this job for a company that makes GPS for animals. The movie was ok but it held my attention so it can't be that bad. The pups were cute. Christmas Crush: The Christmas wish comes into play once again when a woman wishes her next door neighbor was in love with her. The only problem is that the guy lives across the hall and she never said his name. Therefore her goofy next door neighbor falls in love with her and hijinx ensue. Pretty funny movie.
  12. I'm watching A Christmas Carousel wherein Lila and her dad were hired by the King of Ancadia to restore a carousel that her great-grandfather built. I do like the royal movies but the storylines are exactly the same in every one of them. The Prince and the Commoner. A misunderstanding ensues and is settled at the Christmas Eve gala usually with the aid of the palace help who love the American girl. I wonder why every pretend country has a gala on Christmas Eve wherein the prince will announce his engagement to another royal. That being said...I'm watching a lot of movies this year now that I am retired and it's becoming unnerving to see the same actors and actresses in several different movies, playing different characters. Anybody else find this?
  13. I just watched Single All the Way on Netflix. There really is a difference when there are real actors in the movie... I mean really. Kathy Najimy, Brian Bostwick, Michael Urie. I had read that my holiday movie boyfriend was in it , Luke Macfarlane , and he was. Even though I watched Mingle All the Way first...thinking I'd see him. I'm getting old and addled. So the storyline was the usual stuff we see on Hallmark and Lifetime but they were gay. I liked it... give it a try.
  14. I'm so excited Lia made it to the finals! I really hope she wins
  15. For the life of me I can't understand why that young guy didn't want to live. I'm worried about Dr. Bell now.
  16. So today's watching consisted of the Princess Switch on Netflix (insert eye roll here). I had seen the first 2 so I had to watch this one. It was good to keep on in the background. I then watched a very annoying lead actress in 12 Christmas Wishes. What I could do with 12 wishes! However she wasted most of them wishing her friend wouldn't have frizz hair at a party (another eye roll). They had a mean boss Fred Willard who fired people at whim. The lead actress was so OTT that she made me hate her. I ended with one I can't remember the name..maybe A Charmed Christmas? A jewelry maker and report try and find the owner of a charm bracelet. Pretty good movie.
  17. I'm not so enthused this year. I'm very tired of the sob stories every single week from every single contestant. Also when did Phil start sounding like Jeff Probst during the challenges? I always loved Phill and now I can't stand the sound of his voice as he yells out what's going on. That said I'm rooting for the Jill of all Trades!
  18. I kind of enjoyed The Christmas Contest. At least it didn't have the return to home town trope and I liked the fact that they used to date. They both were OTT but it didn't bother me much. I don't mind CCB. She has way more personality than Lacey. The only comment I would make is to tell her to run far away from him. He's going to break her heart again. Christmas in Tahoe was just as bizarre as Dani said. The lead actor looked so young and the lead actress was very wooden. The script was meh. Just as an aside I've been watching tons of movies because I'm quarantined. My daughter was exposed to COVID last week and she needs to stay home for 2 weeks even though we are vaccinated and also got the booster shot. I'm getting diabetes from all of these sugar sweet movies.
  19. Just watched Christmas at the Castle on Netflix. Time has not been kind to Brooke Shields but I enjoyed her in this movie. I love Cary Elwes and they had some chemistry. The scenery was amazing. I believe it was shot in Scotland. I noticed a couple of fake Scottish accents...like they went out of their way to say certain phrases. The castle looked beautiful for Christmas I loved the knitting club!
  20. Christmas at Castle Hart. I agree about Lacy playing the same character. I don't understand why the sister lied when asked for the names. They were desperate for a planner and it didn't matter how well known. And then...wouldn't there be pictures of Paige Monahan online or on her website? Did Sioban miss that? I found it hard to believe that the family put only 1 child up for adoption and kept the others. I really liked Stuart Townsend. Such a different looking leading man. Very sexy. Lacy's hair looked so frumpy at the gala. I can't believe the chef canceled a job just because her name wasn't Paige Monahan. As far as Christmas CEO what a boring movie. I wasn't crazy about the actors or the storyline. I made it through 1 hour and then went to bed.
  21. Making Spirits Bright. I really liked this one. At first I thought the male lead was not so great looking but as the movie went on it turned out he was cute. The leads had pretty good chemistry. l liked the story..completely different than any of the other movies and how about this? NO MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!!! Along with no cocoa, no ice skating and minimal snowball fighting. A breath of fresh air. My only complaint is that they were Christmas light decorators and their designs were just meh. The competition was someone who's lights would give anyone seizures.
  22. I just watched it and I loved it. I agree that the actors do make a difference and I liked the storyline. It could have taken place at any time of the year and didn't have to be Christmas. I liked the secondary story too. I did have tears in my eyes though. I'm watching Unexpected Christmas now even though I hate Bethany Joy Lenz. She looks a little trashy in this movie though. Edited to add: Unpopular opinion. I hate his family except the sister. My goodness if you look up OTT in the dictionary their picture is there.
  23. I really enjoyed Nine Kittens so much. I didn't want it to end! I may have liked it more than the original. The leads have such great chemistry. I loved the story.
