  1. I binged the 3 seasons over the last few days. I have to agree with the posters in this thread, and I don't get it. Season 1-2 were so good, and then in season 3 it all just fell apart. Too much focus on uninteresting characters, and Jill became so tense and unlikeable all of a sudden. It's baffling how much the show creator managed to screw it all up in just one season.
  2. Olu and Tunde shouldn't feel bad about becoming more American. There must be a reason they chose to live in the USA for decades even if they seem to love Nigeria a lot despite not even entertaining the idea of going back.
  3. Happy about the renewal. This is their chance to get it right. The first season had many good ingredients, but poor writing. Hopefully the new showrunner will reassemble the resources that do exist in this show and make it as great as it always could have been.
  4. Calvin thinking taking the high road meant doing a hit'n'run was hilarious 😁. I liked the Tina-Gemma storyline with the tinder snooping, It's not a storyline I saw played out on a sitcom before so it was interesting.
  5. I remember we were all surprised when the show decided not to drag out the drama with Abishola wanting to get a divorce from Tayo, all of it was done in 2 episodes. Hopefully the same thing happens here.
  6. Oh I see thanks. I am not familiar with the song so I didn't know it was by that person.
  7. I feel like the mood and vibe of this episode was very different from any previous episode of mom. The way the characters talked to each other in the limo and at the gala was just different, maybe more close to life and less focused on making us laugh. I really liked Jill's line about suffering through Margerie's night, that was funny.🤣 Does someone know why it was a problem to make a kindergaten choir sing "man in the mirror"?
  8. The synopsys of the series finale is out. I'm worried, what could it be?
  9. LoL, the line about Calvin never buying Tina something used because he got the bible for free made me laugh.
  10. Abishola and Olu/Tunde forgetting that they also need to pack for Dele was a really cute joke 😄 Abishola's written words to Dele were so adorable 🥺❤️.
  11. Yes it happens in the second half of the episode while they are in the bistro and Tammy is understanding about it.
  12. I liked Jill and Andy's conversation in the car, it was so mature and I am happy to see them get back together. I hope the show runners came up with something outstanding for the last 2 episodes.
  13. I liked this episode. The slow building of Calvin and Dave's relationship over the course of seasons is so well done, it was nice that Dave actually helped him be more productive. And the brother's story about trying to work out was very relatable. It was good to see Malcolm try to help Marty for once instead of lightly teasing / bullying him as usual.
  14. Are we supposed to feel bad for Matthias? He got what he deserved!
  15. This was a convoluted first episode. I can hardly keep track of what's what. But the sun girl explosion looked good.
  16. Margerie's worries about a cat tasting the "wild life" were so cute 😁 Bonnie's catch 22 story about needing experience to get a job even when you have none rang too true. It's hard to get started in most professions unless you know someone and use your connections.
  17. I think it's because Calvin himself has a tendency to exaggarate, so he gets it. Like that episode when they got stuck in the middle of nowhere and had to hitch a ride. My favorite part of the episode was when Dave corrected the robber when he called him Calvin's friend, as opposed to his best friend 😁
  18. I have a friend who is 33 years old. He is all gray already. It's really all up to genetics. I loved that Bob and Abishola slept in the same bed. I rememeber a few episodes ago, his issue with their relationship was that they did not do that. It's nice that Bob finally got what he wants. And in general they were a harmonious couple this episode, like the way they joked and smiled at each other in the car while driving Kemi home, it's good to have these moments as a functioning couple since many people used to point out that they did not see what they liked in each other.
  19. I'm happy they gave Wendy a chance to shine, she was a great & helpful friend to Jill in her hour of need. ❤️
  20. Messenger. Instagram. Whatsapp. Twitter. Pinterest. Discord. E-mail. Need I go on?
  21. This episode's plot died the moment the guys didn't know how to track down Walter. Hello, we are in 2021. Facebook exists. They were neighbours for more than a decade, there is no way they don't have dozens of common friends, so they can easily find him. The scene where Tina explained to Calvin that she just wanted to spend time with him was really cute though.
  22. I really felt for Abishola when she was crying in the supply closet. She was so motivated to do what she thought was best, but her perspective is just not ideal for a managerial position. I really liked Kemi's advice about just taking her time with getting familiar with her new responsibilities, that is really all you can do in that situation, or forfeit altogether. It was quite funny that Gloria explained to Abishola that a lot of her job is massaging egos, and then did it to her right after when she agreed that Abishola would have done a perfect job if only she gave her better directions. And Abishola didn't even notice. 😄
  23. Tammy's ammends was hilarious, that restaurant manager was amazing 😄
  24. I think Violet (Daphne's mom) can sort of step in for that scene they just have to tweak it a little bit.
