  1. Same here. After Flip fell, I turned the channel. Figured I could come here to see if anyone won the big bucks. I didn't want to actually see a teen get the cash, didn't care which one it was.
  2. Like Simon stupidly buzzing acts he's already more than once voted to go through to the lives. And when judge voting isn't supposed to matter.
  3. I'm hoping she gets a Vegas show on her own, without being tied to one of Simon's contracts.
  4. You guys are so funny. This is Jelly Roll, he's been on Kimmel, and his song Son Of A Sinner hit hot on the Top 100 charts. Also a rapper, he's now the biggest thing in country music with that song, and has played the Ryman, a gigantic achievement. And to discredit those Chapel Hart singers who said no one looks like them so they can't make it in Nashville, NO ONE looks like Jelly Roll in country music and he's made it huge.
  5. Cool that you know who Jelly Roll is. Thumbs up from me!
  6. Agree. This was the stunner of the night for me, sort of like the stunner last week when the one guy got voted through instead of the other person. I've already forgotten who they were. My takeaway from the night was, I'd pay to see Kodi Lee, and that's not something lightly said. Because I wasn't listening until the song started, I didn't know who was singing with him. It wasn't Jelly Roll or Post Malone, so Teddy Swan is now a new name for me. Best part of the night, even though it did go on kinda long.
  7. Same. I tuned in to see if Flip made it and was thrilled he did. Then turned it back off. It would delight me no end if Flip won the whole thing. I just can't with all the kids being the focus now and anyone older than 30 is a decrepit has been. Akbar and Matt must be exhausted after every taping.
  8. Maybe she did and that's as good as it gets? Except we got to see close ups of her tugging at all sides of the bottom of her little black dress to try to keep her ass covered. So there's that.
  9. Guessing Tino was the frontrunner and production seeded his family to spew doubts (and make Rachel cry) because, drama.
  10. At long last, she shows some respect. So she does know the difference. Or one of the PAs does.
  11. Dumping your date right before you meet his family will make this The Most Drah Matic Hometown EVAH.
  12. I actually thought "Bachelorette audition" when she was talking to Gabby.
  13. Gabby meets the parents while the parents meet Gabby's ass.
  14. Yes. But Saber is behind getting totals done and I've been working to light a fire under her. There also will be a Final FJ Contest for next season. Hoping Saber will be back amongst the living by then. Winners for this season will be announced too, once totals are figured. I know Saber got behind recording weekly scores.
  15. A housewarming gift from Saber and me for Zoey. Welcome to Kansas, my friend!
  16. Jeopardy has been on here at 4:30 p.m. since forever. I only knew about Ken Jennings when I had a day off and was at a friend's house and she had to watch it to see if Ken won again. I used to be able to listen to it on my radio at work or when driving home from work when tv was analog. Never knew the players though, except Ken and then only because of my friend. Now that I work at home, time no longer matters. Wheel has always been on at 6:30. I think J watchers being more able to program a VCR is a valid point! Save your money and watch Generation Gap ... if you can stand it.
  17. The 1940 movie "Kit Carson" is on tonight, Sunday, August 21, on Circle Network. "Frontiersman Carson (Jon Hall) guides Capt. John C. Fremont's (Dana Andrews) cavalry expedition to California." There will be a quiz afterward.
  18. While I said Brenda Starr once again. Some people never learn. But now that I know Torchy Blane rhymes with Lois Lane, I'll get it right the next time this ep reruns. So thanks!
  19. I am bummed that my appreciation of Ken will force me to watch Call Me Kat for the first time ever. Well, maybe. I'll see. Will have channel flipper firmly in hand throughout.
  20. I was so positive that the final two would be two more singers, so was happy (and surprised) the magician went through. I actually thought Chapel Hill didn't sound all that good in their performance the night before. I do get a kick out of their sob story of "working so hard" to "make it" in Nashville to no avail. Girls, EVERY singer in every bar in that town have been working for years to get a break, that's just how that town is. What did you expect? Just a big WOW to Dorenbos' epic fail. Good thing he's already won this show or he'd be going home next week.
  21. But not if your third grader knew how to print the alphabet. If he had written "magic" with a real G and C and I, the trick (and lightning will strike me for even calling it a trick) wouldn't have worked. I kept staring at that big paper when he wrote the word because I couldn't figure out what those squiggles were and why it didn't even look like a word, much less like "magic."
  22. I thought the first ep with Jon Hamm was okay, he balanced it out somewhat even though I find Fallon insufferable. But I had to turn off the second episode with Heidi Klum. Man, everything was too OTT, more than I could handle. Didn't even make it halfway. Why does every "game" show have to be so "in your face" these days.
  23. Well, neither of the two that went through were my favorites. I missed seeing Drake, didn't even know he was on, so I guess that's when I fell asleep. If Dustin's crummy fake "magic" act was an audition, he deserved four Xs. That SUCKED big time. He's gotten worse and my guess is last night's appearance will put a big crimp on tickets sales to see him IRL. Anyway, it should. I did get a laugh out of Simon being pissed when the singer got voted off. Don't worry Simon, you can still get her to sign a contract.
  24. I fixed it for The Jeopardy Fan. You're welcome, Andy.
  25. While all 10 were good, I laughed especially hard at No. 2, thanks to @Prevailing Wind, and No. 1 was the tops as well. And Baby Ken did a fab job. He was a natural even back then. Thanks for the link!
