  1. My prediction: They will make it to the end but not win. Then they can go on to fame and fortune in Nashville but with a contract that says all promos must state they were "discovered" and became famous on AGT *coughsimoncough*.
  2. Thanks for the link, @853fisher. Sad to know Clue Crew is gone though. I always thought those were fun categories.
  3. Thanks for that mental video that indeed is hilarious. That whole Ken Victims Tournament is such a fab idea, I love everything about it. Ken actually ruined $100,000 Pyramid for me, I can't watch it any more after he smoked his episode. Too many "not smart" people on after his turn. I'm thinking the reruns are starting with the big winner, then the person who beat him, then the person who beat that person and so on. So I see the theme of it, it's kinda cool. If I am correct.
  4. I wish you the best of luck against Ken! I be rooting for you.
  5. That would be double AWESOME!
  6. That would be an AWESOME tournament, and could last an entire season by itself. I give it a big thumbs up. There's still hope @M. Darcy!
  7. Thanks for the heads up so I can schedule being gone that day.
  8. Good link to Second Chance; thanks. Since I don't remember any of those people, this will be all new episodes for me. Hope Ken is hosting. Or maybe I'll be too busy to watch.
  9. Then Mayim would be wrong, which would delight me no end.
  10. Ask and ye shall receive! There were 47 asterisks this season. The first in FJ 18 in Week 4, the last in the last week, Week 46, FJ 227 (or 228, depending on who's counting). So almost one * per week. And remember Matterisks? In Week 2, there were two Matterisks but no asterisks. A rare occurrence! I am a huge Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood fan but I missed that FJ as well. So don't hate everyone who didn't guess her.
  11. "Hug Your Mutt Day" sounds pretty cool too though, so I vote we have two daily mottos.
  12. FOR SURE! A close cousin if nothing else! Love your post @30 Helens, although I do support getting older retired show dogs as companions. They make the best pets, thankful for everything, and vets love them, they are used to being but up on an exam table and poked, prodded, clipped, snipped with the added plus, they won't bite. ETA: Isn't every day National Mutt Day? Yeay!
  13. Week starts at 226. Looking at the master FJ list, wrong numbering started Week 32, way back on April 18. The last number of Week 31 was 155. The first number of Week 32 was -- mistakenly --- 155. So, numbers have been one off for 15 weeks. GAH! I guess you guys can number any clue/answer any way you want, including the last one.
  14. Oops. Someone forgot to renumber the last week. Thanks @ProudMary. Here are the clues. WEEK 46 • July 25, 2022 — TWO asterisk * * 225. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Honored in 1998 as part of a rock group & in 2019 as a solo artist, this singer was the first woman to be inducted into the Hall twice. * 226. Literary Animals. This children’s book character, introduced in 1926 & a friend of the title character, gets his name from the sound he might make. * 227. Real People in Poetry. Milton wrote of this contemporary: “When by night the glass of ” him “observes imagined lands and regions in the moon.” * 228. Countries of Europe. It’s the only independent survivor of the Spanish March, buffer states created to protect Christian Europe from the Moors. 29. Tech History. For about 20 years after its invention, it had few practical uses; then suddenly it revolutionized grocery checkouts & home audio.
  15. Interesting side note to the contest: Did anyone get FJ 1 and FJ 229 correct? 1. The 13 Colonies. Founded by an advocate of religious freedom, it was the site of America’s first Baptist church & oldest synagogue. 229. Tech History. For about 20 years after its invention, it had few practical uses; then suddenly it revolutionized grocery checkouts & home audio. Saber is considering a special prize for anyone who did. Just sayin'. Maybe she can be pried out of her sabbatical over the weekend ... ? ETA: At least we get Matt Amodio on Monday, some consolation. ETAA: Fixed the number of the season's last clue.
  16. Excellent thoughtful post @possibilities. And good point about Mike Richards not exactly being diverse, TPTB's first choice. If they want to catch younger viewers (Seriously, do people watch this show for the host or the clues/answers? I don't think it's the host, unless one sucks so badly it turns viewers away, I'll mention no names) they could have hired JoJo Siwa away from SYTYCD. I just can't believe Mayim is bringing new viewers in. Just can't. There has to be some behind-the-scenes something that we'll never know about ... until someone writes a "tell all" in a few decades!
  17. Man, Mayim doesn't even try to make people like her.
  18. Oh, MY! that is SO COOL! (I love George Takei.)
  19. Ken is a class act. End of story.
  20. They wanted to wait as long as possible to piss viewers off.
  21. I did that math yesterday and it severely depressed me. Then I saw on Twitter this a.m. that Ken is in through January. Now I don't remember who posted that but seems it was a Jeopardy person. If true, that will brighten my holiday season and un-bleak January for this viewer. At least Ken will be hosting ToC, which means Matt Amodio will meet his SEVENTH host! ToC will ROCK. Andy over at TheJeopardyFan.com lets us know who will be hosting when there is going to be a change. Gives you about a week's notice to plan your viewing pleasure. Or viewing un-pleasure.
  22. She commissioned and PAID an "artist" to create a wall hanging containing ... some personal things, let's just say. I'll bet my life savings Ken doesn't have anything like that in his closet. I'm surprised everyone got all bent about one tweet but no one is talking about Mayim's choice of personal expression. Maybe not surprised, just disappointed.
  23. Say what you will about one tweet taken out of context, but google "Mayim Bialik mounted her son’s foreskin on her living room wall" and see all the multiple (true) delights you come up with.
  24. I am in no way involved in the music industry (*coughsimoncough*) or even know any musicians yet I know what an ocarina is. WTH you dumbass judges. Oh yeah, right, they were just reading their scripts. Alrighty then. I can barely watch this show because I dislike Simon so intensely, and the show, I mean HIS show, insists on showing his (fake) reactions to every single thing, whether it be a noise, vibration of the air, what he had for lunch or every act. And while I like Terry, I'm really tired of his "OMG DID YOU SEE THAT!" reactions while standing in the wings. There was a singer I liked last night, don't know who she was. Barely saw the other acts and quit watching altogether when Marilyn Manson Jr. was on.
