  1. yes, i do. and they would make every effort to get her. she is a bit high strung though, so she would not make it easy.
  2. watching the noon update on the getty fire (its not by me). they said that Wednesday all hell will happen as the big winds are due back in our area too. is it weird that when i have to leave (as i do today for a dr appt) i worry about my dog home alone? if a fire happened while we were out, there is zero chance we could get back in up here to get her. wednesday i plan to be home all day, for sure. been thinking about what i need to take if we evacuate again and where it is. might fill a few crates in preparation.
  3. can someone remind when each of the pregnant ones is due ? i dont know where i saw a list of who is in what order. we should be starting to see then soon.
  4. we are doing better than expected. have had fires all around us and lots of smoke in the air today. that big fire in the santa clarita valley (the tick fire) is the big one on the news down here with several little ones popping up. we had a female arsonist in the town about 20 minutes west of me - she started one and got caught starting a 2nd one, that we know of. for me personally - we live directly across the street from a big mountain that burns fairly regularly. i live in fear of it for several months of the year. been evacuated once so far in the 3 years i have lived here. the wind is howling tonight as i type.
  5. in reference to lauren stating that 'asa' was a boy.....i miscarried at ten weeks and had the d/c. i felt in my gut that my baby was a girl so i named her ashley (very popular name at the time). i didnt have a ceremony or make a big deal about it...it was just for me to grieve and remember that i had a child waiting in heaven for me. i dont think its that uncommon to name your lost baby but i do thing the extent lauren is taking it to is out of the ordinary.
  6. i am just surprised at how close to the fire they are all sitting...
  7. just need a moment to vent: i have been planning our 45th reunion with a group of us for a year now - it is going to be this saturday. our first ticket sold was to a guy that actually left school early but has been faithful to stay in touch. i found out that he died a few days ago, alone in his apartment. dont know circumstances yet but just wanted to say that my heart is so sad and i cant even post about it because the authorities are looking for next of kin to be notified first. he was unlucky in life in many ways but he was just about the most sensitive, generous, nice guy you could find. to say i am devastated is a small word. i think this is the first actual peer that i have lost since we first graduated (there have been a few but not close to me). we are not old yet....only 63. this really hurts.
  8. big bear lake is gorgeous and a place that i doubt the duggers would ever visit and appreciate.
  9. 1. glad they got the kid at the theater before any damage/hurt happened. 2. i can tell you 1000% that if i was that nurse (and i have been the health tech in school offices many times over the years) that i would be at my doctor YESTERDAY getting tested regardless of what the school chose to do or NOT do.
  10. just wondering if anyone here thought of adam lambert for the leopard? and the comment above about donny and marie -- i was kind of guessing her for the flamingo. also thought of Pink herself and gwen stefani.
  11. in general, i am on the same page as many of you with my guesses. i still think the thing is dennis rodman, although wayne brady has come up in conversation. skeleton: maybe alphonso ribiero? lady bug: my husband is convinced it is ashley judd tree: carla hall all the way!
  12. i think more like burt reynolds....and the bibs on the table was kinda ...well...sad. the kid is gonna graduate homefoolin' with a bib on!
  13. heard this on the news too. so incredibly sad. hope that the child can get some degree of peace after such a trauma.
  14. just walked in the door from seeing it. loved it!!!! i told my husband it was like visiting friends. in fact, it felt like it picked up exactly where it left off, as if i had just seen an episode last week.
  15. i am a user here too. i can verify that it takes for freaking EVER to get c-pap equipment and o2 equipment. be sure to use a humidifier attachment to your c-pap -- otherwise your sinuses dry out and crack, bleed and the headaches are not pretty. also - clean your mask often!! the skin infection is not worth it. currently i just use a gentle cleaner in a packet and wipe it down before use. i also have COPD not from smoking but from asthma all my life. i am currently on o2 as needed. its no fun when you NEED that o2 but your face is so torn up and blistered from infection from the plastic tubing. GAH!!
  16. you have some great ideas here. i cant wait to watch and see more clues.
  17. i read it somewhere -- i have been researching the heck out of this show for the last day.
