  1. Thank you, Kumagoro, I appreciate your response and the links! I wonder, too, about the weird wording of that tweet. "and worked with just.." I got the hiding the real reason vibe too. Good theory, Shadda2. Makes sense. If that actually was Audrey who spoke briefly to Nathan, this makes me wonder wny neither Lucy or Sara has come through. Is Audrey the strongest personality of the Haven savers that she was able to bleed through momentarily? I'm very sad that Lahana isn't able to come back also. But glad that it was her decision and not the producers. I think her character had a lot more todo/say. I do wonder why Jennifer died, but Dave didn't. Is it because he didn't really do much in the lighthouse cavern? (Besides being almost sucked into the door void). Kumagoro, I also am bothered by the Audrey paradox. Why her and not any of the others? Though I don't wish Mara to be the end game as she is horrible. I don't care about her and Nathan & that true love crap. I do miss Audrey too & not the Lexy-Audrey we got last year. Mark, the Jen-in-a-body bag looked like a still photo, like maybe a body with her face imprinted over it. Her face was very blue and flat looking. I love the interchanges between the 2 Teague Brothers. Their relationship is one of my favorite parts of the show & both these actors do such a great job. I can't wait to see where (if) they are going with Dave. Shana, good point with Howard saying "it seems that way."
  2. I'm in the middle of re-watching last season (just got the DVD) so Jennifer's demise really hit me. Aside from Jess, she is one of the few "new" female characters they've brought in that I actually grew to like. Does anyone know the Lahana's reason for not wanting to come back?
  3. I'm rewatching last season and enjoying it more than I did the first time around. I loathed Duke's brother, William was annoying as hell (although I like the actor) & I pretty much hated the whole Mara/William black blobs of trouble storyline. So I was looking forward to this season with mixed feelings. Excited because basically I love the show & dreading it because I dislike Mara and Nathan's true love issues. But this episode was surprisingly exciting & energetic. Mara's evilness is going to get tiresome real fast even though Emily Rose seems to be enjoying herself. I've been rewatching from the beginning for the past month or so & I've concluded that Emily Rose isn't the best of actors which I didn't really notice the first time around. Now her one note acting really stands out & I dread her repeating Mara's evilness for more than an episode or two. I didn't like Jennifer at first, but by the end of the season I liked what she & Duke had and so I miss her this season. If they brought Kelton (Jordan) (another limited actress) back for a 2nd reason wny couldn't they bring Jennifer back? I'd still like to know what Vince's trouble is. And why did we go through 2 seasons of the Colorado Kid mystery only to have it end up being nothing (he was killed with the barn)? I'd love to see more background on Lucy. And I hope we're not going to spend the next few eps watching everyone chase Mara around the woods trying to STOP HER.
  4. Good point, Shapeshifter. Why didn't anyone have on actual winter coats if it was so cold?
  5. From what I recall the Tim Gunn save was grew out of Tim wanting to keep whats her name (sorry, I just can't remember her name, from 2 or 3 seasons ago - the winner before Dimitry's season?) in after she was aufed, seeing potential in her that the judges were overlooking due to one bad outfit. She went on to win the competition although I'm not defending her win. In that case he felt the designer had more to show us. The season after that was when the Tim Gunn Save came into play and unfortunately, after the initial save, he seems to be using it for personality reasons rather than for talent. Aha, her name is Michelle, season 11.
  6. I'm thinking that the way Zac gets right in there man-handles the models during the closer look is because he's a designer, which Nina and Heidi are not. I think he does it to see how well it's sewed and how the fabrics lays. He does seem a bit "handy" but I think he's more manipulating the design/fabic rather than feeling up the models. He seems to treat the models as if they were plastic mannikins.
  7. Madding, I agree with you on the casting of Crash. He's very preppy looking to me, too, and doesn't really fit with the character. He has such a baby face. I knew kids like his character when I was growing up and they were much rougher looking & a bit more hard. He looks more like a spoiled popular sporto heartthrob who dates cheerleaders. I was so bored with the Carter/Crash scenes in the beginning. I was relieved when they kept switching over to Taylor and Max. Crash is not appealing at all.
  8. Although I like Char as a person (considering I don't really know her!) I too think Tim wasted his save. She hasn't done anything that warranted her being brought back. She was just a nice upbeat lady and maybe a pleasure to have in the workroom. Everyone seems to like her. I'm actually puzzled as to why Tim brought her back. Hated Amanda's outfit for reasons already said better by everyone else here who also disliked it. What the hell? I kind of liked Korina's. I still don't like her or anything else she's done. I thought it odd how the coat didn't close in the front. It would look nice with jeans, I think. My impression of Alexander is that he's just a sweet guy, like someone's kid brother and he probably gets along well with everyone in the room. He's very low key personality wise. I wasn't surprised to see Fade hug him. He seems relatively drama free & honest. I also think he's very cute. Considering the other choices in the room, he seems like one of the few nice people. I kind of liked his dress, if it had been better executed. I saw what he was going for. Heidi looked different tonight, with the red lipstick and with no bare body parts showing. I was startled every time the camera landed on her. I wish Sean had won though just so Korina wouldn't have immunity for the next challenge.
  9. HyeChaps, thanks for posting that. I'm looking forward to seeing Stuart with Mrs. Wolowitz. I use to work in the cosmetic industry for a chemical supplier. All of our sales reps had at least 2 degrees & half of them were former bench chemists. If really in depth tech info was asked of them they referred the questions to our tech advisor in the office.
  10. I, too, think Kini should have won. But I can see why he did not speak up about making the top of Sean's outfit. I don't think there is any way he could have said so without sounding like sour grapes. And speaking of sour grapes, what the fuck Korina? This kind of childish behavior is ridiculous. How much time do the designers actually spend together filming the show? Two months? Less? Adults can't manage to get along with each other for such a short amount of time out of their lives with people they will probably never have personal contact with again? I wish they'd just focus on their designs instead of each other. I don't like Amanda much either, but whatever Korina said (which we didn't actually hear, did we?) to Amanda wasn't necessary. I liked Char as person too & am sorry to see her go. Didn't care for her designs, but loved her Detroit attitude. Surprised she jumped in with Korina to gang up on Amanda. I loved the red dress Dita was wearing. And I can see why Alexander won fan favorite again. He's kind of cute in a little brother way. And I don't recall him ever saying any shitty things about the other designers. When Char was declared out I thought I detected a little smirk from Sandhya that she was trying to hold in. I wish she'd gone home instead. Her dress was just as bad and she picked that eyesore of a color.
  11. During the part when the judges were having their close up of the garments there was a conversation between Zack and Nina that went something like, "what can we do to bring out the best in them" or something along those lines. I forget what their answer was, but my own answer was "give them more time." This little conversation pissed me off to no end. I wanted to smack the both of them. Like one of the designers said, a red carpet dress takes a lot thought & time. But they only had one day. What the fuck? Judges, want to see better designs, let them have more time to work on them. Fade's dress was awesome. I think/hope he will get more credit once the flotsom is weeded out.
  12. I must have missed the part where Ali's army was shown. When/where did this happen? I'm am hoping that next week is Toby or Ezra's demise, but how likely is that? Still, what a joy either one of these would be. During that whole convo with Caleb I wanted to punch Toby's in the face. His facial expressions (all 2 of them) disturb me. I'm thinking the likely death will be Shana's replacement, swim girl whose name I cannot remember. Eddie Lamb is a good guess though
  13. I was waiting to find out that Elizabeth's leaving was cooked up by David & that was the thing he wanted her to do for him to "make up" for her affair. I kept waiting for it to be revealed that they both were in on it. I also thought Carter's reaction to finding out David lied about the meeting with Lori was way over the top. The dialogue & plotting on this show is really odd.
  14. I don't have Netflix so I've only seen the eps our local PBS runs. They seem to be stalled at Season 5 or 6. I've seen each ep about 4 times. I can't imagine John Nettles not being the lead. I think he's great. And although at first I missed Troy, Scott is kind of growing on me. I wonder why he was only there for 1 season.
  15. I'm so happy this show has its own forum. I watch it every Friday night. So far, I've only seen season 5 or 6 which keeps repeating ad infinium. I've only seen John Nettles playing Tom Barnaby, who I really like. I liked Sgt. Troy the best, but now that I've seen Sgt. Scott several times I'm appreciating him also. These are the only 2 sidekicks I've seen so far. I just love the scenary in this show.
  16. While I was happy to see some color, I loathed Sandhya's look and couldn't stop saying what the fuck to my tv. I think the girl in 2nd place should have won (sorry, I forget her name), the one with the green jacket & white sheeth underneath. While it wasn't to my taste I thought it had a nice clean look & loved the jacket. I don't know if it's the editing, but when they were critiquing the designers Sandhya was grinning when the other designers received less than a rave review & then lost the smile when other designers were being complemented for their looks. The camera would occasionally cut to her during these critiques & I found it very annoying. Although, again, it could just be the editing (which I don't trust at all). I liked her at first, but then last week when she went to Tim to say how she was being picked on I kind of did a doubletake. I'm sure it felt like she was being picked on, but I think it was more that the other 2 designers had more at stake and wanted to get their view across. I'm on the fence about her now. I also liked Emily's look. Her model had a great walk, especially when taking off the jacket. On the whole these designs were much nicer than I expected. I'm looking forward to what quite a few of these designers come up with next. I hope Sandhya doesn't turn into another Patricia, a contestant who stayed long after her due date. While I think Sandyha has an interesting and clear point of view I'm not really seeing it come out in her designs.
  17. Yes, Kariyaki, those lips, gloop is a good word for them. Her face is truly disturbing. Fau, I'm with you. I'm usually on Hanna's side anyway. Don't like Ali since she's officially not dead and Emily continues to get on my nerves. I like Ashley's portrayal of drunk Hanna too. It's very subtle at times which works. I mean that wasn't a very big glass of vodka! Spencer, no I didn't notice the lady in black. Good catch! Speaking of dinner with Mama Fields, what the hell was it with the drink cart on the porch? They went into the house eat. I thought that was weird. I would love to see Jenna & Hanna together. Anything with Hanna is usually good. Thanks, Crim. I thought she was just passing by too. And good take on Eddie's no show.
  18. Maybe a drunken Hanna makes a move on Zack. And yay! Ella's back!
  19. Except for the abundance of Hanna (my favorite character) this ep was dull. Emily is annoying as hell. She's never been a favorite of mine & her being Ali's champion is too much. I wonder why Spencer didn't also put a camera inside the guest house. And did Ali actually walk out of the guest house or was she just passing by? It looked to me that she was just passing by, unless I missed something. Maybe I nodded out for a second. Aria under the bed was funny. I don't like the new character, the swim girl. Her face disturbs me. So with the engagement does this mean Holly Marie is finally coming back? Mona looked gorgeous during that conversation she had with one of the girls in the hall at school earlier in the episode. Best I've seen her look. Any guesses as to why Eddie didn't show up to meet Ezra? Hehe, maybe he likes Ezra as much as we do. Or maybe Eddie is our next dead body.
  20. Fau, hehe, I have to agree with you there re: Twisted! It is a good premise & I agree, they are wasting it. I can see why the other kids are gravitating towards Carter though. She's full of confidence (arrogance?) & that usually attracts interest from other kids. Thanks, KaveDweller, for the answer on where they live. This has been bothering me more than the characters. :)
  21. Because this show is on MTV & I'm not really in the age group I think this showed is made for I'm not expecting great things from it. As a loyal viewer of Pretty Little Liars I'm used to the lack of realism in a tv show about teens. I also sat through (I'm embarrassed to say) the entire season of Twisted so compared to that this is looking good. I can see how the show would appeal to teenagers, but not necessarily us more "mature" viewers. I do have a question though: Carter lived with her kidnapper mom in PA somewhere? And where is her bio family living? Did I hear something about West Virginia or did I make that up? I'm just wondering how she was able to drive to that park in the first episode with bio mom's car to visit her old friend Max in such a short amount of time. It's beginning to remind me of how NYC was just in Boston's back yard in Fringe rather than several hours away by car.
  22. This ep was a big improvement over the last 2. I don't even like Jenna, but the show has been so dull I was actually excited to see her back. Don't like Caleb's new haircut, but it's a sligh improvement over the old one. I'm tired of Ali already. I think I liked her better when she was dead. :) The explosion was great & so also the return of A. Not that this is stellar writing or anything, but the last 2 eps were so boring I could barely stay awake. Glad they revealed what shady swimmer was up to. We knew she was there for a reason. Good to see Ashley too. Relieved that the Ezra/Aria and the Ali/Emily scenes were short. The actor who plays Travis was so cute in Bones, with longer hair. He should grow it out. He's way cuter than Caleb. But Caleb and Hanna are really the only couple I like. I too thought Ali was talking to someone in her bedroom. I'm sure it was done like that on purpose.
  23. The best part of this episode was the call-back to Sam and Zack's treatment of her. Good for Laurel on that one.
  24. Cuddling, it bothered me too that the doctor was a guy. It was actually kind of offensive/abusive. Typical Rosewood PD though. Why send a girl who was kidnapped and possibly abused/raped to a female doctor? Maybe a male doctor will freak the more information out of her. I was relieved when we didn't have to see even a hint of a pelvic exam.
  25. Re: Hanna's hair, I didn't think those were streaks. From the back it looked like the bottom underneath layer was dark with sort of blonde cap on top of it. Kind of hideous actually. I liked her hair better in the earlier eps too. Although she does look cute with a shorter haircut too. This ep just bored me. Maybe I am finally growing out this show. Last season was so disappointing & I was especially disgusted with the retcon of Ezra, so he's a good guy now? That lady singer in Shana's funeral vid gave me an earache. I do hope they pick up the pace in upcoming episodes. I felt like taking a nap during what we've seen so far.
