  1. Zibnchy, I believe they have various handlers that stay with them. The handlers can't be shown, though, which is why Jozea was playing volleyball against himself.
  2. Preverts, did you know that Glenn would have won if it hadn't been for that stupid comp (and his team)? http://www.tvguide.com/news/big-brother-glenn-interview-evicted/ When asked who he thinks will win: "Maybe Zakiyah. Her personality, she looks fit, gets along with people. Kind of like a girl version of me."
  3. Why are the feeds going down? I was thinking about trying them out tonight just to watch their heads explode as they worry about the lack of HOH! Here's hoping that the Buyback winner is also the HOH. And Paul's hair! I hadn't checked in since yesterday, so when I saw that. . . Seriously? Is he going to grow his beard out and put glitter in it now?
  4. I figured Jozea was playing against himself. I mean, who else would be good enough? Hopefully, Paulie's ridiculously large sphere of influence will be gone now that his hair is. Ugh! I wish the HOH had been tonight with immunity for the buyback. As Julie signed off, the hamsters were already looking for the box that someone would be retuning in. And Da? That was just tacky.
  5. These two sentences? One hundred likes for the former; one thousand likes for thie latter. I also despise the modifier "chopping" in front of block. Is block alone not dramatic enough? This episode: Paul--stop doing that weird barking in the DR. Also, you are not my boy. You have never been my boy, and although I don't hate you as much as a I used to (that sentiment is for Frank, at least this week) you never will be my boy. I just don't feel that strongly about Paul either way. He's like Michelle or Bridgette, players that, unless they do something immediately, I will barely remember next year. Nicole's crying--if Tiffany did that, she would be vilified. Good thing that DR is private. "I don't wanna go on the block!" Finally, Da taking her nomination seat? That was pathetic. She should have some class. ETA: Wow. Wandering Snark, I promise I didn't read your post before writing mine! (It wasn't my speechwriter either.) We're on the same wavelength somehow, I guess. I copied the quote and wrote out my reply before reading the rest.
  6. Thank you so much for your help with the cable channel. Sadly, even though I have a cable package that has every channel available to me, I don't have the UP channel! Ironically, I live in Arkansas, and I can't watch the goings-on of these people not that far away. (Central Arkansas, not the creepy NW part.) Poor Carlin, being around during Joshgate II!
  7. So sorry to have to ask this, but what channel does this show come on? My Tivo is only pointing to Amazon, even though it is obvious that there is a current season! More on topic--I haven't seen any news articles or posts with Bates and Duggars lately. Do they no longer get together after Josh's various scandals?
  8. So glad to see the flip. But why the hell didn't Paulie throw the comp? Wasn't that discussed? A very satisfying show. I enjoyed Tiffany's speech immensely.
  9. Season 3, ep 1: Sherlock Holmes trick. Could the glasses be retrofitted somehow to work? I have no idea, but it was fun to watch.
  10. This Sherlock Holmes trick is driving me crazy. I have a theory; I just wish I could check it. (And now I see the appropriate thread. My apologies!)
  11. This makes me want to go back and revisit past seasons. I, for one, actually liked the food comps.
  12. A couple of catching up questions: How did they chose Have Nots this last week? I hate it when something that important isn't broadcast on the show. Second: What did Frank do to lose favor with most of his alliance? The double-dealing? I haven't broken down and gotten the feeds yet because I get tired of the endless sleeping and whispering. But I may at least start watching BBAD closer.
  13. Which property are we referring to as the pool house? I keep seeing it but I can't remember where it is.
  14. I thought that Mormon dad had left kids with Ami too, but the latest episode (3?) showed a TH where Ami stated the kids were elsewhere. But he still shouldn't have left her on her third night there. I agree with the observations above noting his lack of interest. My guess was he doesn't think she's hot enough for him, now that he's seen her in person. Run, Ami, run! This guy is a selfish jerk.
  15. Frankie's mugging was horrible! So glad he didn't win anything. However, if I didn't believe that TPIR had more integrity, I would call interference. What are the odds that two of the most popular hamsters would be in the showdown, with the so-called master of the game winning it all?
  16. To no one's surprise, Will Kirby is the first former houseguest called to "come on down" on The Price is Right. The other three initial house guests were Rachel, Janelle (again, not a big surprise), and Frankie the Cloying. People magazine article: http://www.people.com/article/price-is-right-primetime-special-big-brother-frankie-grande-exclusive
  17. I'm a lurker here, though I was a little more active in TWOP days. I've read yet another mention of Jana and the jewelry box. What happened?
  18. I saw the Good Morning America ad too. It's full of stuff like "Anna Duggar speaks out!" If I recall correctly, there's nary of Counting On. (Or at least, very little. Hmm.)
  19. Regarding Ben's education--I live in Arkansas and teach collegiate courses. So I thought I would belatedly throw in my observations. I haven't taught at National Park, but I've taught at two other nearby community colleges. They tend to be the same in that the students don't actually have a major, as noted here; students graduate with an Associate's degree in Science, Arts, etc. It's very general. About 5-7 years ago, Arkansas residents passed a statewide lottery that mainly exists to provide financial aid. Thus, especially at the community college level, there WAS a rush of people deciding to better themselves by getting their degrees. However, college is not Walmart; you don't walk in, say you want a degree and then get one; that's left a lot of disillusioned former students. So the increase in enrollment, which Bin probably experienced, has been steadily decreasing. National Park is pretty small; it's right there in his hometown of Hot Springs, so I doubt a lot of discussion was had when he graduated home school. If the cc students don't lose their financial aid and flunk out or leave for some other reason, most usually transfer to a four year college. The courses, for the most part, are designed to work that way. Without seeing Bin's transcripts but knowing he did actually graduate, I suspect he could transfer to most four year colleges in Arkansas fairly easily (including U of A). He could go the online route through National Park (who apparently is now dropping the "community" from their name), but there are very limited options in fields of study. Also, as noted here, U of A is a party school. If Bin does pursue valid, non-College Minus higher education, I personally see it as more probable that he would go to a school like John Brown University. It's a Christian school. I know very little about it beyond its existence and that it has the divinity courses. (The university where I teach is out of the question; even though it is smaller than U of A, it may have "green haired" students in the classes.)
  20. Personally, I thought he was being facetious when he said Meg--some of his say what people don't expect type responses. Like disparaging his profession on national TV.
  21. Thank you, Ceeg. Oh. I can see that happening. I'm not sure I would qualify it as help, though. http://www.inquisitr.com/2442456/big-brother-17-finale-spoilers-producers-could-have-a-hand-in-helping-vanessa-win-it-all/ (I can't seem to do a link on my tablet.) The article states that Liz still got the question wrong. Based on what we saw, both Liz and Steve got all questions right. I would've been more interested in seeing the screwup instead of, say, Steve reminding us the motto of the show and talking in hashtags.
  22. So I read an article that stated as per live feeds, Liz told Steve the producers helped her with one of the clues in HOH Part 2. Does anyone have any more information on this?
  23. If Austin does tweet something, someone please post it in the Media thread! I don't want to follow him on Twitter. . . or get a Twitter account. Someone said above that two hours would be nice for the finale. I agree. Or at the very least, show Part 1 (also maybe Part 2) of the final HoH during Sunday's boring show. They could mix it with the clips. (Oh, remember how weird Audrey was? Play clips. Remember Part 1 of the final HoH? Play scene. Come back to house, etc. Once again, thanks to the live feeds viewers for posting this year. Obviously, we know that something else had to happen during the final HoH that went so long; we have a grasp on it thanks to those brave watchers. As I watched the bloody mess, I could say to myself, "Maybe right before this is where Liz complained about her va-jay-jay. Or being dunked. Or everything." I was glad to see Vanessa's mind tricks during the final HoH Part 1, but I was also glad to see that Liz at least saw what Vanessa was doing. ("Uh. Stop." I believe that's close to the exact quote. . .)
  24. I got tired of Austin calling Steve "the boy" before this episode even started. Thank you, Mama Day, for calling out Judas. Austin in a hat! Vanessa could have let Audtin put on shoes? I don't think she stopped him. The surprise episode did. But if Liz had time to wake up and put on a hoodie, etc, he had time to put on shoes. He wanted to walk out barefoot, no matter what he said during this finale. I was amused for the blindside, but it was too little given how Vanessa was more or less robbed. As aoon as they went to commercial after Steve won, I told the few watching with me that during commercial, Vanessa will talk fast to remind Steve how much better keeping her would be. I wonder if that happened?
  25. I know the twins got their roots done around mid season by Vanessa. Did she not do her own? Wearing a hat all the time must get annoying. Feed watchers, does she sleep in it?
