Caitlyn Jenner: Call Me Caitlyn
jonesingjay replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
A new day. A new I Am Cait promo video. One month away from the start of her docu-series. I'm excited and looking forward to it. Hopefully, it'll stay away from manufactured drama, and manage to be lighthearted while at the same time, shedding light on transitioning late in life. She really does look good and happy. -

Rob: The (Mostly) Invisible Man
jonesingjay replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Didn't he blow a couple of opportunities or at least one from Kourtney? She managed to secure him some sort of entry level position at a office? Rob flaked on the job from what I remember. I think you're spot on. The transition from school to career probably wasn't one Rob prepared for and adding to that seeing his sister's making a very nice living in the entrainment industry. It might've looked like 'easy money' to him, and he decided to pursue reality show fame. -
Rob: The (Mostly) Invisible Man
jonesingjay replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Sometimes I forget that Rob graduated from USC. For law, right? Following in Robert K's footsteps. It's an accomplishment, but I wonder if he barely passed by the skin of his teeth. I just don't know if Rob has it in him now or ever did to work a professional job outside of the entertainment industry. I do believe his inner turmoil when the family went on vacation, this was during the time Kim was dating Kris the basketball player. Rob expressed regret and being upset that he wasn't where he wanted to be in his life. Momma Kris appeared genuinely upset that there wasn't anything she could do to fix the situation for her son. It's rare that I watch this show and think that anyone is being genuine on it, but that moment rang true to me. -
The Quotes Topic: "You may call her Bev... or Sea Hag!"
jonesingjay replied to Elizabeth9's topic in Roseanne [V]
That's from an episode where Bev comes to visit. Becky has a date and is allowed to go out. While Darlene has to remain at home. Bev treats her granddaughters differently. Roseanne realizes that her mom also treats/sees her and Jackie differently from one another. Believing that Jackie had the talents to go go far in life, while Roseanne was meant to be nothing more than a wife and mother. Which results in the hilarious tossing of the biscuit across the dinner table. -
Murder, She Wrote - General Discussion
jonesingjay replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Murder, She Wrote
I don't know if binge watching is good. I'm halfway through season twelve and have watcher's fatigue. I've become annoyed with JB, and often find myself telling her to mind her business. Especially when it's a killer that I'm actually sympathetic towards. The most recent example being a young woman, who kills her father's killer in a fit of rage. Jessica got this woman to spill her guts in a court room filled with people. -
I didn't like Piper's panty business, didn't see the point of it and her involvement with the younger inmate fell flat for me. One of the things that I enjoyed the most were Big Boo and Pennsatucky's friendship. Those two played off each other well. Although, could've done without the prison guard stuff. I would've loved to have seen Poussey and Soso's friendship to begin earlier and develop over the course of the season, but I understand how that Soso's depression and feelings needed to be paced. Overall I enjoy this show more when it's truly an ensemble and not focused on Piper or Piper's relationship with Alex. Just one more thing, Piper's panty speech was so corny. If that was the point of the scene they nailed it. Healy. After praying to Jesus to help his mother.

S03.E12: Don't Make Me Come Back There
jonesingjay replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Orange Is The New Black
I think her best scene this season was I can't even remember too much of last season, and how bad she might've come off during the whole Vee thing. Her character doesn't bother me, and I can enjoy scenes that focus on her. -
I'm looking forward to seeing more of that next season. Two very lonely people. I also want to see how things between Suzanne and her fan (I can't recall her name) who has shown a genuine interest in her will pan out. One of the things I enjoyed immensely was Big Boo's and Pennsatucky's friendship. I wasn't expecting to looking forward to their moments together, but I liked it.

Anyone read the Vanity Fair article on Caitlyn? Not much new in terms of what was touched on in the Diane Swayer interview. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't appear to be a puff piece. It appeared to be unbiased in my opinion, touching on all aspects of her life, including her less than stellar moments. -
Leave it to Scott to add some well needed levity.

Little Women: NY - General Discussion
jonesingjay replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Little Women: NY
It's not surprising to me, especially after the way the season ended, without any updates on the participants. That sort of thing has become something of a standard. Sure, they had a few cast members talking heads that sounded like something akin to updates when talking about their futures, but it appeared very shoddy to me. It seemed to be a sloppy end to this season. Maybe, because this show won't be back for a second season? Perhaps, low ratings? The reviews I do on the NY edition aren't half as popular as the LA ones. My most recent review on the LA sneak preview had more views than my review of the last episode for the NY edition. Not that that is any indication of viewership, but I can definitely see NY not doing as well in the ratings when compared to the LA edition. -
Mike's taking his lumps at the reunion. Every year, someone gets worked over, and it's his turn. All I think is what a shitty group of life long friends to have in your corner. Why would someone want to be in with this crowd? Even before there ever was a show, they don't appear to be the type of people someone should want to call a good friend.

I for one am just loving all of the media coverage. Give me more, Caitlyn! LOL. I'm looking forward to her reality show. I want to see her out and about, living her life and being as much of a public figure as she pleases. I'm not sure how long all of the coverage can last, but I'll enjoy it. -

No, they didn't get a reunion their first season. I'm not surprised that the NY edition didn't either.
