  1. Can't say that I agree with what you've stated, but I do see more clearly where you are coming from. I still believe that once (if ever) the cameras go away, that Caitlyn's sincerity and motivations to transition will still be questioned. It's tied into being attached to the Kardashian brand for so long, as well as now becoming a reality fixture on her own without them. It's not fair but it's what happens when you sign onto reality show fame.
  2. I'm still not convinced that once the cameras are gone if people will believe this more social side of Caitlyn truly is part of her personality. Unfortunately, her motives and sincerity will still be questioned by some.
  3. I think you've hit the nail on the head. Being able to finally live your life as the gender you've always felt certainly would be liberating. Her being out more, and being seen socializing, etc. makes sense to me. Sure, I'm guessing being more visible also ties into her show premiering later this month, but I don't think everything she does is based on her reality show.
  4. I think I've heard him do one for luxury cars. Perhaps, Cadillac. Don Draper is enlightened, after he came back from that retreat he changed for the better.
  5. Caitlyn being honored in full before her speech, not in the video I previously posted. It really adds to her speech for me. The narrator for the video montage is Jon Hamm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB7AEdBU3sk You go Glenn Coco!
  6. The getting ready stuff was hacky. When she really got down to what she wanted to say I really liked it. I also like that she doesn't feel the need to change her voice. If that's how she wants to talk, that's how she wants to talk. I can't wait for the reality series. It'll be great. Premiering July the 26th on E! Don't forget to tune in. Looking forward to all of the great gifs that'll come out of that show.
  7. I enjoyed the speech. She used this opportunity to get across a message that means a great deal to her, and hopefully the people who needed to hear it received that message.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=112W8q8XXKw Really great speech. I thought the emotion was genuine, and she clearly had a message she wanted to get across. Hopefully people were open to receiving it.
  9. Unfortunately her voice won't change. It's interesting what hormones can do. For FTMs your voice will deepen.
  10. @Maysie reminds me of a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
  11. Thanks for sharing the link to her newest blog entry. I come away from it with the viewpoint that I've always held, there isn't any one way to be transgender. Caitlyn is making her own path, and I think that's fantastic. Every time I see her I can't help but smile because she's finally getting to live the life she wants for herself.
  12. I know that there are plenty of people that don't agree with Caitlyn's decision to transition. You've made a strong point that in their staunch disagreement, it seems that some people lean on her setting back the transgender movement. I just can't subscribe to the notion that Caitlyn just being herself, and rather harmless with a handful of social media posts and pap shots popping up sets the movement back. I don't think she's really being given a chance to make good on her word to want to get involved and shed more light on the issues that transgender people face. Maybe, she isn't ready. Perhaps, she wants to learn more before speaking out and addressing issues publicly. People just seem quick to jump the gun with her because of her association with the Kardashians, I think she's been unfairly judged and her motives questioned.
  13. Yeah, I don't have an issue with her being out and about. I think she's just living her life, and since she's a public figure combined with the gender change she's going to be in the media. I agree with you. I wouldn't qualify her as a fame whore. Especially if it's in comparison to the Kardashians or anyone of their ilk.
  14. Another 'I Am Cait' promo. I'm really looking forward to this series, and the new forum for it. I'm especially curious about the relationship she has with her mother, and siblings (If any of Caitlyn's siblings are on it.).
  15. If they changed the records to show Caitlyn Jenner won the decathlon I'd get a kick out of it.
  16. Yup, I don't think Caitlyn did it for attention. I think she's having a fabulous time, doing as she pleases. I can't say what's real and what isn't as I've never followed her or the Kardashians closely. I didn't mention whether or not she's a changed person, that I don't know.
  17. I've never agreed with the opinion that Caitlyn did this for attention. I believe that she's transgender, and is finally living the life she wants, which is fantastic. She's definitely enjoying her moment in the sun, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I do hope that she follows through with her comments on wanting to be involved with and help the transgender community. I'm enjoying all of the press coverage of her.
  18. Caitlyn was giving me life these past couple of weeks. She won the gold and my heart. I need more super fierce Caitlyn gifs in my life. None of this tired down button-ness she was serving in her coming out interview.
  19. I had no idea! I was there, but didn't stay that long. I only spotted Gloria Allred.
  20. She looked very good. Very happy. Having a good time. I wonder why she didn't go to Pride in West Hollywood. I would've liked to have seen her. The more appearances she makes, the more I look forward to watching her series.
  21. That's been very interesting. Seeing how happy and alive Caitlyn is in comparison to Bruce. It's night and day.
  22. I remember that one as well! When it comes to 'justified' murder in my opinion I wish Jessica would let sleeping dogs lie.
  23. There's going to be a new show thread for it. I'm unsure of when it'll be created though.
