  1. That's why Zeke will be swooping in on his motorcycle to give Louise a quick getaway when she gets in hot water. 'Hop on girl we got to skeedaddle hehheh!' Honestly, I don't think Gene has the attention span to commit to actually doing something.
  2. I think that was the idea behind the not eating people episode. You got a ton of characters introduced that you can just bring around again.
  3. I know being a successful restaurant all the time isn't good tv, but if Louise is good at these ideas, they should throw some more in here and there. It's a shame the whole catering angle didn't work out, because there's a lot of fun plots to be had just with that. Or Bob working more events on the boardwalk. The show is consistent in that when people do sample Bob's food they all think it's good. I would just like them to get a few more wins. And everyone knows Jimmy's is just slop.
  4. Even if that's how people know them, someone must know someone who has seen one before.
  5. Well, I hope Zeke knows how to cook because Louise sure didn't.
  6. I'm sure there had to have been stories of lightsabers too. They make the galaxy so small that everyone knows each other or so big that things like the Jedi are forgotten.
  7. Urge is a brilliant name. I think it's a little ooc that Louise wanted to actually work. I know they hand waved it that she wanted tips, but I found it thin. However, I do love when the restaurant is successful. Like the green burger sliders. I wish the show would do more concepts with the restaurant like this. Lin has a lot of wine on reserve.
  8. They still don't think it's on apparently. I really like the town. It's a great setting. Like Bob's, I enjoy the kids' adventures the best. I really liked the cake episode where (still don't know the characters) were saying 'oh I wonder what cake pun the local news anchor will say?' And when the news anchor did, they were in the background looking excited. Brilliant idea for the cake too.
  9. I didn't think I'd hear a Fiona Apple song on the Simpsons.
  10. They've been transparent in that producing the weekly show has taken a lot out of them anyway, so if it's the pandemic or what, I'm all for a show trying a different format. The last special was great. They still got a lot in the tank imo.
  11. Being drafted probably aged people a lot more back then. Even Ted looked old. Lou and Mary in bathroom in the episode about the sleeping pills and then everyone barging in killed. I mean, it's obviously completely inappropriate, but the scene works because none of the guys were even bothering that Mary was in the tub. Wow, The gang is in Hollywood for the awards show and the hot lady reporter is all over Ted. He's asking Mary for help and says, 'well, what if you were married and Robert Redford came on to you?' Which is basically the plot of Indecent Proposal starring Robert Redford.
  12. My local pbs airs this now weekly. I've only seen a few episodes. They're showing the one where they went to Nantes to see the mechanical animals. I've actually been there, and it's something else.
  13. I would think any broadcast network would want rights to air first run shows. Hulu has SNL the next day too. I'm doubtful they'd want that aired prior to actual Saturday night.
  14. Actors do double duty on shows with short orders (like in the UK) all the time. I doubt they didn't account for this.
  15. The Simpsons twitter said that all the shows would be pushed to next Sunday. Check the Simpsons thread here.
  16. So we're all in on the joke about Mary's Aunt Flo coming to town? I'm closing out the show and into season 7. They just did the one with the lawyer for Mary that totally fell in love with her after an hour. It seemed a little much. I'm watching when Lou proposed, and I'm dying with everyone crying at the end.
  17. I think the whole slate was postponed. I'm on MST and I think close to 9 the race was still on.
  18. It looks like they're just starting up, so that might be it. Can't they move it to FoxSports?
  19. Lexx was great for scifi because not everything on a spaceship has to be 'gritty' or 'real'. Sometimes people are just horny. The third season was as good as anything, and there was a lot of good stuff in season 4, like the vampire two parter, the chess game, and whatever the hell was going on with Stan almost marrying the wood nymph. Also you can't beat Gigerotta becoming the pope. And the King of New Found Land.
  20. The prescriptions for my dog are typed/printed and signed by the doctor.
  21. TV and movies were really steeped in Vietnam at that time period. Rambo was actually a counterculture anti-war character iirc before they late 80s-ed him up for the cold war. I also was too young, but I knew there was a war and lots of people were in it. Vietnam was also the last time there was a draft iirc, so more tv viewers were likely veterans themselves or knew someone. Or writers themselves, so you're going to see a lot of that content around then.
  22. NHL players have done far far worse with the Stanley Cup. And it's named after an actual *lord*.
  23. I say the same thing when I don't want to work with someone on a proposal, "Oh, you don't like getting funding, Doctor?" Of course I do. I'll stfu and deal. The thing about losing on principle is that you still lost. I'm doubtful she'll be getting any gigs this year. I think it might be weird to just have a new character, also from Alderaan, with the similar backstory, than to recast. Unless you create someone new from scratch with a fresh history, but then you have to write in their appearance and all the exposition, whereas, just recast and keep going. I'm sure they've already got most of S3 written already.
