  1. My cats and my Chihuahua are buried on our property. I have my Harley's ashes on a shelf in my room with a little shrine to him. He will be buried with me.
  2. You guys are awesome! Thank you.
  3. Felicia? I'm sorry to always ask stupid questions but who is Felicia?I agree with your entire post.
  4. Unless you have restraining orders on each other, no judge can tell you that your ex can't come to your house. That's ridiculous. If a judge really said that he/she should be fired.
  5. I don't think Amber does anything "the sensible way". She is probably using the same diet she used before, eating pills instead of food will make the pounds disappear.
  6. I was so blonde as a kid that people always accused my mom of bleaching my hair. Mine was all natural, my mom wasn't an idiot like Tori, she would never have bleached my hair.
  7. I agree. When I was with my kids father he said he tried for half an hour to wake me up one morning. He said he called my name and shook the bed and I didn't move. He said my baby made a small noise in the next room andi woke right up and was in her room in 3 seconds. Leah is a shitty mom. I thought the same thing.
  8. Animalnurse, that's fantastic!!!! What awesome news!! Babies! I wish you the very best of luck on this incredible journey. Tell your parents that they are in for the best time of their lives. Everything they've heard about how great it is to be a grandparent...tell them its even better than what they have heard! I'm so happy for you!
  9. My late baby boy Harley never paid attention to the deer or the turkeys. He would look at them and then go on about his business. Next month marks 3 years since my Harley left me. I can't believe it's been 3 years. I have his collar hanging on the lamp by my bed. I still miss him so much. I had him from 4 weeks old to 1 month shy of 13 years. I love all of my animals with all of my heart but Harley was the one. He was my soulmate dog. I know there's no such thing but he was the perfect dog. I got him so young and started training him from day one. He obeyed verbal and hand commands. One snap of my fingers and I'd get his attention then I would just point to where I wanted him to go and he would go to that spot and sit until I told him to move again. He knew so many tricks. He could open and close our doors, open the front gate, he would bring you anything you asked him to bring. I spent a month once just teaching him what stuff in the house was...the phones, remote, where soda was etc. He would bring back the right thing every time. I was already a groomer but Harley is what got me into training. I loved training him. It was a lot of fun for me and he was so smart he made it easy. So sorry, Once I get started talking about my boy its hard to stop.
  10. This is brand new information!!! Wow. I'm surprised Alana didn't mention it. She pissed me off. Didn't she also write a book about Farrah after she died?
  11. Maybe Zach is lazy. He was always the lazier one put of the twins, maybe that hasn't changed. Isn't Zach just working part time? At least Jeremy seems to have some ambition and passion for the farm. I've got nothing against Zach, I don't mind any of them except for Amy, she bugs, but anyway maybe they all know that Zach couldn't handle a large role at the farm and Jeremy can. I missed last week and am now watching the dress shopping episode. Amy sounds so fake and insincere every time she opens her mouth. There are a lot of examples that stick in my head but the details escape me. With the dress shopping, everybody else sounded so natural and normal, then you have Any who can be heard above the rest "oh wow. You are going to be like, wow". She sounds so fake. I hope nobody is stupid enough to eat anything that comes from that nasty, disgusting house of theirs.
  12. I do that too if we're coming around a corner or up a hill and I can't see what's coming. I'll whistle and scuff my feet. 9 times out of 10 I hear something run away. It's scary when they run after a deer. You never know if the deer will keep running or turn around and start chasing. We had a dog that chased a few and as we were chasing the dog chasing the deer I kept repeating "keep running deer, don't turn around".
  13. The people who live on the property up from mine said the old neighbors that I never met used to let their Chihuahuas run free in the hills up here, the female ran after a deer one day and the deer killed her. My neighbor said even after that happened they still let the other dog roam the hills. Stillshimpy, I can guarantee it wouldn't have gone well for your dog. Does are out right now with babies and it wouldn't have been pretty. I never, ever let my dogs anywhere near them. If we go out and there's a deer in the yard, which happens a lot, we come back in until its gone. If we have to go out then, I make sure they are tightly leashed. When we first bought this property everybody we met up here warned us to watch the dogs with the deer. It's so cool living with the deer. Dusk and early mornings are the best time to see them. My husband has been telling me about a doe with twin babies he's seen a few times. My granddaughter and I went for a walk last night around 8 and we saw them. We stopped when we saw them and watched them eat for a minute (from a safe distance), then they crossed the end of my dirt road in front of us. The look on my granddaughter's face when she saw them was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. She was thrilled to see them. We went on a walk once when she was about 3 and she saw her first deer up here. She went crazy, in her eyes she had just seen Bambi. For months she carried around the picture we took and told everybody she saw that she saw Bambi in her grandma's front yard. It was so sweet. I'd love to see the world like that again. Damn. I'm on my phone and can't watch Oscar. It usually plays video with no problems. Thank you for rescuing him. I read your comment on the video. Rescue dogs are so special. I will rescue only from now on.
  14. I taught both of my kids how to drive on a manual. We had both kinds of cars and they didn't want to learn on the clutch because it took longer but I insisted. They're both happy now that I made them learn. They both prefer and drive manual now. I don't watch the Kardashian shows a lot but I love reading your comments and the links you post here. I agree with all of the comments about Kylie and her repulsive mother. I couldn't imagine letting my 16, 17 year old daughter wear, say and do the things this girl has done. My daughter is 31 now but no way would she have been allowed out of our house in some of the stuff Kylie has worn. I was a really leniant mom, my kids had to go to school and follow my rules, which they did but I also gave them a lot of freedom and allowed them to make their own choices (to a point, of course) but my daughter would have NEVER done what this kid does. She wouldn't have wanted to anyway. It's sad that Kylie has been raised to think that the way a person looks is all that matters. She looks nothing like she did a year ago, that's so sad to me. I think by the time she's 30 her face will be so messed up from plastic surgery that she'll start to resemble Michael Jackson or that cat lady person that people talk about here sometimes. I have no idea what her name is. Don't Kylie and Khloe and the others realize that these guys are only with them to ride some coattails to fame? That's how I see it anyway. I'm not a big hip hop music fan but nobody I know had ever heard of French Montana or this Tyga person until they started dating the K witches. Thanks for all of the hilarious and entertaining comments!
  15. Ratgirlagogo, it's just for a fried chicken recipe. I made this recipe years ago and it was the best fried chicken I've ever had.
  16. Thank you all so much for the rosemary suggestions. After everything I've done for the past few days, I'm wiped out and need a full day in bed tomorrow so I'm doing the recipe on Thursday. I'll let you know how it turns out. The grandkids are gone, my husband is back on the road and my house is peaceful again. I love when the grandkids come but I must say that I also enjoy when they go home. I'm so used to my peace and quiet. I always forget how much kids that age talk! They talk more than their mama did at that age and I didn't think that was possible. When she was young my daughter talked non stop. If she was telling you about a movie she saw, her retelling would take longer than the actual movie. And my granddaughter talks even more than that.
  17. I have always adored Tim Conway, I don't remember him ever saying snark. I hate it. It's not even a real word.
  18. I never thought to look in the bagged spicws in the produce section. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Since this is pet peeves I have to say how much I hate the word "snark".
  19. Oh OK, the poster meant DEFCON. I thought DEAFCON may have meant something different. The spelling is where my confusion came in.Thanks! To the poster who said my question was "snarky", I didn't mean it that way at all. I was just confused because of the spelling. I thought spelling it DEAFCON meant something and I was just wondering what it meant. Sometimes people make up nicknames and things for these shows. No " snark" involved.
  20. What is a grandma hangover?
  21. The rolling pin thing is what I planned to do. Thanks.
  22. Tatum, please keep us posted. You must be getting excited (or nervous). I'll be thinking of you on the big day!
  23. I bought the leaves and am going to try to do it myself. I don't have a food processor or a grinder. Do you think a blender would work? I don't think it will make a huge difference in the recipe if its not completely ground. I sure as hell am not going back out. For the past 2 days I've been out shopping or home cooking and haven't had any chance to rest my back. 2 days may not sound like much but it's starting to take a toll on me. And tomorrow is the day I watch the grandkids so no rest tomorrow either.
  24. As I was searching for a spice last night at the grocery store (why is it impossible to find ground rosemary?!) one of those lovely family reunions that we all love so much. While searching for the rosemary I learned that the man has a 10 year old with mental problems who hates her step mother and has made accusations against step mother and has damaged her career. I also learned that the child's mother has been abusing Valium because she can't cope. Seriously, why would anybody have such a conversation in a public place with more than one stranger listening? My biggest peeve in this though is that between last night and today I went to 5 different stores and never found ground rosemary. What the hell? I found rosemary leaves but no ground.
