Jax thinking he and Sonny fight over women is still a bit of a stretch. All of the women that they’ve had in common sadly preferred Sonny.

The Sam/Dante scenes came off like pointless filler. Like the actors had to be on today so let’s give them something to do. I get why they might want to throw in some lighthearted scenes in the middle of all of the angst but it never works for me when you’re using characters who should be doing or reacting to other things. Cringe flirting and playing softball when Jordan was just seriously injured and Drew is being held hostage makes them look callous. I think when they do these types of scenes, at least pick characters who wouldn’t have any bigger worries or pressing concerns. Another thing is that they still feel flat as a pairing. I had zero expectations for CM in this role because I hated Ryan but he’s surprised me because I’ve enjoyed him so far. However, was Chloe as his co-hostage always the plan or was she a replacement in this story for Hayden because they couldn’t get RBu back? I liked her today but just seems random. Joss is insufferable. Not sure why the writers don’t see that her judging Spencer for being rich and entitled is a self-own and can she bring her smugness down a notch? Spencer and Esme a mess and I still rooted for them over her. She feels really shoehorned into this story. Not sure why we see her getting mad on Trina’s behalf rather than letting Trina voice her POV. I know people are rooting for Jax but I don’t get the point of him being there vaguely hinting at things and trying to convince Nina to tell the truth when he can easily just call Carly or Jason and tell them what’s going on. They’re stretching this out because he won’t say anything but they don’t have anything else for him to do. Peter is a cartoon villain. Guessing Mike saves the day and somehow gets his Sonny memories in the process just in time for the wedding?

I’d agree if I thought the character was the only problem but I see a lot of issues with his acting that I don’t think a new character will fix. Also, whose to say that the new character will resonate any better than Peter? I don’t recall Claudia being that popular and Kim definitely wasn’t well received and both actresses had huge fanbases as Carly.

I still wonder why they didn’t write her a real exit because having her leave town for treatment sounded so temporary. I hope they don’t but wonder if they’ll give her an offscreen death.

When they announced his return, I assume it was for the recently single Jordan but they only shared a handful of scenes together and he came back in April. Also, they’ve had Jordan in this pseudo love triangle with Curtis and Portia. None of their scenes came off like a traditional chem test to me. They were always talking about TJ or the investigation so it’s possible that they always meant to bring him back for Alexis or had another plan for him.

Briana Nicole Henry confirmed her exit in an IG post. Sounds like she opted not to renew her contract. https://www.instagram.com/p/CTzofcBpJeX/?utm_medium=copy_link

This is the third time I’ve heard her say this specifically in reference to her current storyline. I think she’s been around too long to be this naive. People either like SLs or they don’t. They aren’t going to enjoy them because they’re forced to sit through them. Last time I heard her bring it up, she compared it to Luke/Laura and how they wouldn’t have been popular if the dast forward button was around back then. Yeah, no. People still had the option to change the channel or turn off the show.

Was that Jordan’s exit? Those played like goodbye scenes. If that’s the case, couldn’t they have written her a better one?

Being a Cassadine is a big part of his identity and he doesn’t want to seem to let it go. It’s actually an interesting juxtaposition with Alexis who doesn’t use the name despite being a biological Cassadine, growing up on the island, and actually having relationships with the other Cassadines. I don’t think Valentin ever even knew Mikkos.

Just finished this series. I found it entertaining. I heard of the company before this but never knew about the religious history and the whole part with the impact on marriages and keeping the man in “power” for lack of a better term. It was interesting when they claimed to be promoting female empowerment. I do wish that we saw something from the ones who didn’t make any money. That was one caveat. All of the people being interviewed appeared to be higher up in the pyramid and made a lot of money from it. Truthfully, only one actually seemed to feel guilty about being involved in an MLM. The woman in the plaid shirt who later helped others get out. She was also the only one who brought up how others were being taken advantage of. I might be wrong but I got the impression that the rest who left got out because the bonus structure changed and they were making less money, they feared legal recourse once the lawsuits started coming in, or concerns about the quality of the product. I don’t know I just didn’t get the feeling that any of them cared that they were getting rich off the backs of others who were going into massive debt.

I just found out that WK’s son is autistic so it’s possible that he asked for this storyline.

I found both Jason Q and Jason Morgan to be boring and one-note. The only differences were that Jason Q was actually a good person while Jason Morgan isn’t but gets called one by the entire town. From what I saw of Jason Q, he was more or less the perfect one in the sea of schemers and screw-ups. While I don’t find anything appealing about Jason Morgan, I don’t know where they could have gone with Jason Q either.

I’m not sure they’ll be able to write it without Olivia come off as offensive. I do think they had Austin talk to Ned about it first for a reason. He’ll be the one who wants to get support for Leo and Olivia will be in denial about it. I’m don’t have faith in them doing that type of story justice unless the person writing has direct experience with it or they consulted someone. The reason Mike’s Alzheimers’ story was decently written (well before they dragged it out and ignoring most of MB’s acting choices) was one of the HWs had experience with a grandparent who had Alzheimers.

Why are they pivoting back towards Jordan and Curtis? This Jordan/Curtis/Portia triangle needs to die already. All I feel now is that both women deserve better than him.

So with Jarly, I guess we have ignore the decade or so that Sonny and Carly weren’t together since Jason claimed that he was holding back of Sonny all of this time. Their lack of chemistry is a big issue with this storyline but trying to make it seem like they’ve secretly wanted each other for decades completely ignores what we saw onscreen. This is so obviously plot driven and they’re going OTT in an attempt to sell it when it needed to be a character driven story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are setting it up for Olivia to be in denial about the diagnosis and for Ned to have to get through to her. It doesn’t seem like she’s noticed anything yet or if she had, she’s ignored or waved it off. She didn’t take him to the ER regarding how he was acting, it was for a cut.
-
I would find Jason fighting for Carly to be the most unrealistic of this story considering he has never fought for any woman. He’s easily the most passive love interest on this show.

Lol probably firing her BF since I don’t think Peter’s return is for very long.

Brando stripping was cringey, first because of the audience at the party and second because JW has no moves. Maybe they should have given him some lessons or something because that was yikes
-
Is that a tradition? I’ve never been to a bachelorette party the night before a wedding. They’ve all been months beforehand and usually involved a trip. The night before a wedding, there’s sometimes a rehearsal dinner or small gathering if a lot of people came in from of of town but definitely not strippers and getting trashed.

IR must have been sick when he taped these scenes. Jax sounded really congested and horse in his scenes with Joss and Alexis.

CS seems young to play Victor and I thought Victor was dead.

Spoilers and Speculation: Clink Boom and Cheese Fondue
ffwbe replied to BestestAuntEver's topic in General Hospital
I’m pretty sure she stated that she was recruited to the school for volleyball so she should be. Based on the spec and spoilers I’ve heard, I think Esme and Spencer are taking over the teen group while the others are moved to supporting. I wouldn’t be surprised if we only see them for the occasional family scene or to react to what Spencer or Esme are doing. -
The pasta sauce is a dumb anvil cuz I don’t buy that Jax of all people would recognize it. Why would he have been at Sonny’s for dinner often enough to pick up on that? Even from the people who were close to Sonny, I don’t buy that. They aren’t exactly foodies or cooks with the exception of Olivia. Also I think a jar of sauce from the grocery store would be preferable to pasta sauce from like 4 months ago that you got at a dive bar but maybe it’s just me.

I didn’t believe that they were doing Jarly for anything more than angst for Sonny’s returns but I don’t know anymore. Having the whole town constantly prop this pairing (except Jax) is insane. It also never works to change the audience’s opinion on a character or pairing so I don’t know know why the show is going so OTT. Weirdly enough, I thought Jason and Carly had ok chemistry before this storyline. Not hot but comfortable, old married couple. They have some serious anti-chem these days and I don’t know what happened with them.
