  1. Bold take by Doucheborough.... He and Mika are the personification of DC cocktail chatter come to life.... Barely watch anymore.....appreciate oakville's work here.
  2. God this show is constantly disappointing...S3E8.....what did I just watch?
  3. First episode I've seen...looks interesting. NotBrenda was played by the daughter of one of my closest friends. I thought she was really good in this. Her name is Matilda Lawler, she was in the Ferryman on Broadway last year. Dad acts too....
  4. So tone-deaf....too much time in DC, Nantucket and your bunker Doucheborough
  5. This has to be the 'most all ovah the place, laughably fascinatingly odd" final season of a series in TV history. I thought I was watching a repeat of a 1974 "Emergency" episode for much of last night's viewing.
  6. Did that feel like 3 hours long to anyone else? Continually (I don't know why) amazed at how bad the writing/acting is this season. Where is the 4th Solloway kid now? I forget.
  7. The acting/writing this season is just so cliched. Countless examples but imperious actress (JJL), placing a baby next to a knife a quick 2 top of my head.
  8. I thought that was one of the better shows in awhile, certainly this season. Sexist alert.....I think a good male host (which Harbour was) plays much better with this cast which imo is heavily weighted to a more talented /funnier female cast than male.
  9. My God...just awful about an hour in.....lazy writing, poor performances etc
  10. Who, when they started watching this 5 or so years ago, thought it would wind up in a partially flooded Montauk in 2054? Not I.
  11. All we need now is the French professor to show up again. I can'remember, at least a premium cable show anyway, go so completely off the rails. It's kind of fascinatingly bad.
  12. No one ever caught but the "New Bedford/Highway 140/prostitute" murders in the late 1980s. Very interesting case as many were accused, including the local DA at one point. Many thought it might have been connected to the Green River killer.
  13. I don't think the term "let's jet" was used in 1979....minor quibble
  14. OK, I'm oldish but am I the only one who thought Whitney had on only a slip or something not an actual dress? The ridiculousness of this show marches on....carry on.
  15. I think you're thinking of a different show 🙂
  16. Just started, saw S2Ep1 a week or so ago. Berkowitz was great.....great job by that actor.
  17. Damn you! Totally stole my thundah as they say. Wonderfully ridiculous! I did like the Liz Phair karaoke..huge fan
  18. Odd show, but in a good way. Bingewatched the last few days on a friend's suggestion. I can't say I enjoyed watching it all the time but it was fascinating in many ways
  19. This show is so wonderfully ridiculous. No offense, but we're supposed to care about Janelle's story....why? As someone said upthread, it seems like a different show. The Helen storyline is incredibly forced. Future Joanie? I've said this before but I can't think of another show that has evolved into a seemingly different show from S1 to S5 than this one.
  20. Nitpick but if Helen was so artsy and hip at Williams in the 80s, she wouldn't have been a Springsteen fan....probably more like the Cure, New Order etc
  21. I put it on late and it was in the "Future Joanie" segment...thought I had the wrong show. I too miss the Montaulk/NYC setting....show was much more interesting then.
  22. Brokaw in deep doo doo on Twitter now for what he said on MJ this morning
  23. I thought this was a really solid ep. Loved Sackhoff since BG...since this ep revolved around mostly her, I liked it more than the others seen up to this point. Show isn't as bad as I've seen online just now imo
  24. It's actually a fairly common phrase in the sports world today...
