  1. This is just my speculation, but I'm wondering if Akinyi was saying that once the bride price is settled, the couple is committed to marry because to back out of it would bring shame to Akinyi's family. It would be like they are married, commitment-wise. They could still go through with a ceremony at a later date.
  2. Loved Tarik and Dean again tonight: Tarik, upon seeing the very freshly cooked chicken: "They boiled that joker right out of the cage. Like, fly in this pot!" Dean, as Caesar is getting picked up at the airport: "A pretty little girl pick you up now and you're over there talking to a damn cyber-dummy!" Also, I loved Angela's summation of her drinks with Michael's friends: "Well, that went well, honey."
  3. Does this live board continue on for several hours? I'm on the west coast and the show doesn't air until 9.
  4. Maybe Ben can buy some time by not offering much in the way of a bride price. He can let them know he needs more time to add to his savings...and for Akinyi to meet Grayson.
  5. Yes! So sensible. I'm hoping for this outcome. And, I also think that as much as the Americans should respect the culture of their partners, there is also the American culture to consider. I would think giving his son a chance to interact with his potential stepmom would be an important step before the ultimate commitment.
  6. She's not wearing her blush in the Cameo, so forget it! If I'm shelling out $30, I expect the whole Emma package.
  7. Cries more, for sure! I have this theory that Darcy gets so drunk so fast because she never eats. Did you see how many untouched dishes she left when dining out with Jesse? Now for my question: what was Darcy drinking at the pub???? It looked like a flower pot with a test tube in it, and maybe a celery leaf.
  8. Great point! Darcy has too much luggage and it seems Rebecca didn't bring enough.
  9. The idea of her being comfortable in her own skin cracked me up- because it's not her own anything...artificial plumpers, hair extensions, silicone. Anyone comfortable within themselves would not seek to change their appearance so drastically.
  10. I have to admit I feel bad for deluded Glorietta, who is so busy living in a fantasy world while her Prince Charming immediately contacts his ex. I do enjoy seeing the sites in Sacramento, my old college town. I even stayed at the same hotel two years ago. (Glad it was before this unique pair graced it with their presence!) I was thinking the same thing. I would have tried to let him down a little easier...just to save my skin. She's braver than me.
  11. Maybe Omar and Avery will end up in Tunisia where she can do her street dancing.
  12. I agree! To me, it looked as though right after Paul said her hair smelled good, he went back in for a strand of hair. It seemed as though he placed it in his pocket as he was walking. Soon, he'll have enough of his mom's hair to create a hairpiece to wear when he's balding, or sell on EBay.
  13. I have never heard of these scammer baiters before. I loved reading all the correspondence and reverse scamming that happened. They sure got what they deserved! Wish I could think of something like that for some of the scammers that contact me.
  14. Tarik was on fire tonight with his observations of Tim: "Yosemite Tim couldn't pull his pistols out!" and "Your Ferrari ain't helping you right now, homie." I love Pillow Talk! And this forum, of course!
  15. Angela, because I sincerely fear for Michael's well being. Paul and Karine's housekeeper- you are fired!
  16. The baby talk was really unnecessary- not helpful to those trying to learn English. Plus, the big "tell" that Rebecca doesn't know much about Zied as a person is that she couldn't tell his sister what she loved about him. Just sat there silently. Sad.
  17. To me, Tim strikes me as a metrosexual who enjoys wearing the latest fashion, manscaping and such. I can agree with the Prince comparison.
  18. Love the comment about the movie UP! Vince needs to leave and let Amber figure out how she is going to continue to get her future pedicures and furniture on her own. They may be conning each other, but for sure, they are conning us! Andrea looks 100% better this way...and I thought the same thing about the detective. But, he probably has better taste than to date Andrea.
  19. Exactly! That's just what I posted in the couples thread! I can picture Ludwing enjoy the festivities and being there for Laura, instead of making her feel more alone and rejected.
  20. I'm flabbergasted that Michael said that having a baby is more important to him than coming to America. If he wanted to have children, why in the world would he have any interest in a 52 year old woman? It shouldn't even be a thought in his head, let alone brought up with his mother.
  21. Judging from her regular hijab, I believe Avery has long hair, tied up in a bun of sorts. Am I the only one who thinks Rebecca's huge secret of being "technically married" is a nonissue? She's already filed the papers (yes, very late), and I agree with you- she's not officially divorced yet, but it's just a matter of time. If it were me, I wouldn't even bother making a big deal of this information. I would just say that we can file for the K-1 visa when the proper time has passed and leave it at that. Less drama.
