  1. I can't understand why Whitney and Jackie weren't included in the showmanship clinic with Melissa Rycroft. They obviously both struggle in that area and could've used the help.
  2. Stacey posted on her Facebook page that she's discerned God wants her to be a wife and mother. I was kind of surprised by that, but good for her! I bet her parents are bummed though.

  4. I am a big fan of Mother Mark (?), the head of the Carmelites. She has such a calm and patient demeanor, without a hint of judgment. I expect she's seen all kinds of women come through the doors during the years, and we might be surprised and who accepts the call and who doesn't. She seems accepting of all the discerners, I love seeing their sense of humor, and hearing a bit of their backstory. It's easy to forget they were "real people" before they became nuns.
  5. Jumping on the love train for this show! I think that they are wearing make-up in the TH due to the television lighting. You would think they would make it less obvious... The girls have Facebook pages, and on Claire's she said that she's actually saying "I'm not ANTI-drinking" not "I'm not INTO drinking." She goes on to say she doesn't drink for medical reasons. Her judginess annoys, but I can kind of relate to her in a way. She obviously takes her faith seriously, and although I am not Catholic, I am religious and I take my faith seriously as well. If you are serious about being a nun, I can see where twerking in the convent would bother you. But, she lacks the maturity to love people where they are. I think she's had a lot of people telling her how special she is for her serious faith at such a young age, and she was expecting the same at the convent. She seems shocked no one thinks she's a special snowflake. Christie. Oh, Christie. Her whole "Jesus is my boyfriend" thing seems more evangelical than Catholic. I think she was expecting days full of prayer and journaling, and the service aspect just doesn't seem appealing to her. On a totally shallow level, her teeth bug me. Eseni: your boyfriend is hot. Love Stacey, still making my mind up about Francesca. I'm a BIG fan of the Carmelite nuns. EDITED TO ADD: I saw on Facebook that episodes 3 and 4 will both be shown Tuesday night.
  6. I am convinced all those people think they are voting for Giovanni Ribisi.
  7. Has Brittany Schramm had plastic surgery -- like lips or cheeks? Her face looks weirdly tight to me.
  8. I recently rewatched this season on YouTube, and I forgot that Jack was HIV+. I always considered Mondo to be the first designer to be open about this, but it was actually Jack.
  9. How is the judging supposed to be anonymous if half the designers make themselves accessories from their materials? And when do they find time for that? Also, they missed a prime opportunity to compare someone's garment to female anatomy, as they like to do. I saw the black on the bottom of Angela's dress and immediately thought "pubic hair."
  10. The big problem with ATI, the Duggars, and the rules is not (necessarily) that rules outside the Bible exist. All Christian parents have rules for their kids not explicitly outlined in Scripture. The problem is Gothard and the like tell you that following their rules is necessary for salvation. I grew up in a different Fundie ilk (google Jack Hyles) and it was the same thing. You live in constant fear of messing up.
  11. I love that circle skirt. She's my favorite so far. And I agree with Frisson, she's beautiful.
  12. Red Robin and Lexus seems like an odd combination of sponsors.
  13. Tom and Lorenzo called him Jorts McFlipFlops in their recap. I laughed so hard I snorted.
  14. Tim's pattern mixing gave me a headache.
  15. This may be a totally nerdy idea, but does anyone want to tweet together about the premier this week? Maybe we could come up with our own hashtag? I always have more fun snarking with others when I watch.
  16. I also noticed there was one designer who admitted she didn't know if she could win. I found it refreshingly honest, but it also makes me wondering she'll be able to stand the pressure. I'm not a competitive person by nature so I understand doing the show just for the experience. But it seems so grueling...I think you really have to want to win and believe you can to have success.
  17. Yes! And they were interesting people with ambitions, and strong opinions about things. There was some pettiness, but you also got to see them learn about people and lifestyles that were wildly different than there own. They were still 20-somethings who drank, partied and acted like kids, but that's not all they were. A lot of people I liked on the show were people outside the house, like Vaj and Adam the Drag Queen. And poor Anthony from the center. These guys did not make his life easy.
  18. Rewatching this season on YouTube. I was a teenager when this first aired and I thought they were all so cool and worldly. Now I see a bunch of early 20-somethings trying on personas. I looooved Jason then, but now he seems so pretentious to me. Still love this season, though. I still laugh at their fake band Scotch Tape.
  19. Tom and Lorenzo have a "Meet The Contestants" post up. One guy is calling himself The Mitchell Perry: http://tomandlorenzo.com/2014/06/meet-the-project-runway-season-13-cast/
  20. YES! Me, too. The last season doesn't exist in my world. I love Mila Kunis, and I have to say I would probably pick Ashton Kutcher over Macaulay Culkin (her previous boyfriend). I loved her in Friends With Benefits, and totally thought she should date Justin Timberlake for real. I obviously put way too much thought into both real and fictional celebrity relationships.
  21. Hi everyone! I am Crystal and I have been watching the Bachelor/ette shows since the very beginning. Sigh. I have a huge crush on JP (the one married to Ashley, not Juan Pablo). I have an irrationally strong hatred of Emily Maynard.
  22. I didn't know much about Hannibal Burress until I saw him on the show, but I thought he was hilarious. I always love Greg Proops, and I'd love to see a Who's Line panel, if there hasn't been one already.
  23. I thought it would be fun to have a place to discuss Jay, Christian, Mondo, Chloe, and all the other designers of seasons past.
  24. And expensive, right? Nina will only approve of us if we look expensive.
