OT - only if it's bacterial, rather than viral.
  2. It's freezing cold here. I have a new cast iron skillet. Fresh baked bread, coming up. Review to follow.
  3. Whereas I think Emma Stone has crossed into Jennifer Lawrence levels of thirst. I didn't need to hear her interject into every other guest's stories.
  4. "But how else will we become famous and translate that into influencer status? We would have to get jobs to support ourselves." Every reality tv personality, ever.
  5. Well, here's a crossover opportunity for Nicole Sister Pedro.
  6. The casting call for every version of the 90 Day franchise.
  7. Should have specified - in Canada, if one doesn't have cable , these episodes aren't available.
  8. The entire menu right through dessert (except my bread) came from the frozen section of the grocery store. It was a pleasant evening, and the food was edible - not awful - but I would never choose to eat any of the dishes again. I can't imagine inviting guests for a meal and not cooking most, if not all of it from scratch. Different strokes, I guess.
  9. Christine is the like an ex-smoker, or former fat girl who got skinny, and thinks she has got it all figured out so everyone needs to do it her way.
  10. None of these latest episodes are available in Canada. Sister Wives is only on Discovery Plus, through Amazon, and for reasons known only to them, they haven't loaded anything since the last One on One. So I'm reading along with the comments, trying to follow the chronology. And I'm doing a rewatch, since I barely paid attention to the early seasons. Had I watched them in real time (was PrimeTimer even around then?) I wouldn't have been able to abide by the "don't disparage children" rule. Because these kids are insufferable from the very first episode (except Logan, Logan is a puppy dog). It's odd to watch the sanctimonious one, the hysterical crying one, the know-it-all one, etc. knowing how the next decade plays out.
  11. I'm invited to a neighbour's for an early dinner today. I asked what I could bring, and they said "we're having Chinese, there'll be lots of food. Bring something if you want" and I thought "Ugh, I hate Chinese food." I don't hate all of it, I just need to know in advance there are no mushrooms or shellfish that I will need to pick out, because I hate those ingredients. Given the short notice, and in keeping with the international theme, I'm making Turkish bread. https://www.lazycatkitchen.com/no-knead-turkish-bread/. Mine doesn't look nearly that pretty, but it smells great.
  12. Well, since I received a notification you did just call me out.....
  13. Amazon sells Cuddle and Kind (officially, including the donation), so you can save on shipping and they have occasional markdowns. I signed up on the C & K website for emails, etc, and was almost annoyed enough by the frequency that I was going to unsubscribe when they hit me with 25% off for Black Friday. I went with Lucy the Lamb, for a connection to a family name.
  14. No good can come of me answering this question.😃
  15. I actually removed all of my Reddit posts, then deleted my account, because it was too easy to get drawn into arguments with morons. Now I scroll various subreddits, but don't have the temptation to respond because I can't. Here I just have a very (VERY) long list of posters I've blocked, so I don't even see them unless someone else quotes them.
  16. That's where the "stringing along" comes in. If you're not happy, and not prepared to do what is necessary to fix things, get out before you make the rest of your family miserable too. Release your partner to find someone who is happy with them - cough, Meri.
  17. They need to have Keith Morrison do a voiceover for the second part.
  18. That's the distinction Sir Ian makes.
  19. On a recommendation from someone here, I bought a Cuddle and Kind doll for friends having their first baby soon. It's gorgeous, but spendy, so I'm happy I hit upon a Black Friday sale.
  20. Reminder, Shepherds' pie is made with lamb, not beef. Sir Ian McKellan has spoken
  21. The "1 pound/454 grams" is the only metric conversion I remember easily, off the top of my head. I blame all the cookies I have baked.
  22. Canadian butter comes in blocks that weigh 1 pound/454 grams. The packages have labels to slice off 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, etc but that only works if the block is still perfectly shaped and hasn't been smushed in shipping or storing. Weighing is the best way.
  23. I'm in Canada, I've never seen butter sold in sticks. I convert the volume measure to weight and weigh my butter. Butter conversion It's much more accurate than trying to measure out "X tablespoons".
