Now that our show has made it in its entirety to Netflix, what episodes will you have on your 'watch over and over until I can say the dialogue in my sleep' list? Any number is fine, but don't forget to tell us why you chose each one!
-
He does. I ran right over and watched The Edge of Winter, as I hadn't seen it since broadcast. Jesus, what an emotionally gripping episode. And there's a lot more Reid than I remember. I'll go make that thread, @normasm.

Pleased to share the good news that all 9 seasons of our show is now on Netflix streaming!

Jeez, Tat only makes 50k an episode? I wonder if that's PER character? Usually when an actor plays more than one role, they get paid more. Hard to believe that Kaley Cuoco gets a cool mill per ep and Tat gets 50k. That's... criminal.

Stupid Movies We Watch Over and Over and Over...
Wilowy replied to David T. Cole's topic in Everything Else About Movies
Addicted to Love - Matthew Broderick and Meg Ryan. Hilarious romantic farce where they team up and spy on their exes using a camera obscura (which is really cool, btw) from an abandoned building across the street. It's completely implausible and totally adorable, in fact it is my favorite Meg Ryan flick after When Harry Met Sally (nothing can touch that one). My favorite line is a minor one, she brings a potted plant into their crumbling, dilapidated building and he goes "What did you buy that for?" all irritated. She looks at him like he's the stupidest jerk in the world and simply says "It's pretty, Sam." I still use that line all the time and the movie came out in '97. That, and Zack and Miri Make a Porno are two of my absolute favorite romcoms. Perfect 'sick in bed with the Vicks and the kleenex and eating ramen' - type flicks. -
Here they are... top right:

Reid and Hotch's 'B' story is the only reason I like Damaged as much as I do. The whole interview with Chester Hardwick was mesmerizing. Reid's brilliant, panicky solution to Hotch's machismo and the very scary situation they are in is pure gold. Also, one does not mess with a Hotchner that's just been served divorce papers! lol

In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths

Or even any one of those. -
Things that are turning my stomach today: Smug, sanctimonious frauds who feel justified in tearing others down for their own pathetic sense of superiority, then publicly patting each other on the back. The word 'gluten'. The Governor of Texas. Things that give me hope/elevate the human condition: The first woman to win the Field's Medal. Mark Ruffalo and his tireless work improving standards and increasing awareness. Friends who walk the walk.

In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths
Wilowy replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
Yes, I had a conversation with my son about this last week. It's not death I fear, not one whit. That's just like another part of life. What terrifies me is the losing of faculties, of reverting to infancy or worse. I can't see myself taking my own life, 'cause I want to see how it plays out! But I can definitely see the appeal for some faced with certain circumstances like unstoppable debilitating illness. That said, it doesn't marginalize or lessen the tragic impact of anyone who does commit suicide. It's all horrible. -

I love Michael J. Fox, I think he's a wonderful man and a true celebrity in the best sense of the word, and I can't remember when I didn't know who he was. I think my discomfort when I see him stems from anger. I get really pissed off that this disease is doing this to someone I like and respect so much and have known for a major part of my life. I just want to take him and hug him and shove the disease away. So anger... and impotence. Not being able to do anything to help. Anger and impotence. -

The reason I said I didn't think he was symptomatic, Kromm, was because Bunky1412 said they thought people may have been uncomfortable watching him, and I took that to mean that he thought Robin was showing symptoms already. Not that he was feeling the effects already. Sorry if I was unclear. -

I don't think he was symptomatic yet. The article from his wife is posted in the Tribute thread here: http://forums.previously.tv/topic/12832-a-tribute-to-the-late-great-robin-williams/page-2#entry290801 -

A Tribute to the Late, Great, Robin Williams
Wilowy replied to BizBuzz's topic in Everything Else About Movies
Robin had begun a battle with Parkinson's, says his wife: http://www.theverge.com/2014/8/14/6003081/robin-williams-had-early-stages-of-parkinsons-disease-wife-says -
The lengths that some people will go to to deliberately reach out and hurt others is something I don't think I'll ever understand. I'm speaking most recently of what happened to Zelda Williams in regards to her fathers death, but there are far more minor things that I'm sure we've all been subjected to, even lately, that are shameful, petty, and head-shakingly unbelievable. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer last month and endured a radical double mastectomy. She's now facing 20 weeks of chemo. Yesterday I found out my brother (who had just arrived in Colorado to look after her), has throat cancer and possibly lung too, though we'll know more later. As horrific as all of that is, the one good thing that I can identify out of it is that it really makes you consider your fellow human beings, related or not. My wish is that everyone can try to be a little nicer to one another, moving forward. Petty sniping, belittling, and crowing over one's "rightness" on any given subject should be tempered with the consideration that you know next to nothing of another person's life or troubles. To quote The Riddle; "Cause we're all we've got on this bouncing ball...". We can all do better, don't you think?

Spaced. I don't know how many of you are a Simon Pegg fan, but this was a wonderfully warm, hilarious, irreverent comedy to come out of the BBC in the 90s. Edgar Wright directed and co-wrote the episodes with Simon and Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson) who were all best friends and cronies from way back. Nick Frost plays the ever-present best friend Mike to Simon's Tim Bisley, and it's a joy to revisit this and see is still have every bit of charm and truth as ever. The cast of characters will win you over, as will all the sly references to pop culture. But make no mistake, this show has every bit as much heart as it does hilarity. Oh, and it has nothing to do with space. Here's the entire first episode. It's not what you think. I dare you to not fall in love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CL7QETJNk0

Stupid Movies We Watch Over and Over and Over...

Galaxina - King (Queen?) of bad bad baddy bad bad movies that you must watch. *BONUS* - Avery Schreiber! Also, big horrible fate befell the lead actress, just after release. PM me or google if you don't know. Box of Moonlight - Brilliant and charming but weird study in loneliness, personalities, and priorities. Stars John Turturro, Catherine Keener, Lisa Blount, and was Sam Rockwell's big break, playing "Bucky" which I still shout whenever I see him onscreen. I heart this movie big time. Armageddon - YEAH I SAID IT! I get major couchlock when this is on, though I do have to mute it when Affleck starts in with "Leavin'...". One of the more understated Billy Bob Thornton roles, and a great cast. Buscemi is a wonderful genius/sleazeball. -
The Writers of Criminal Minds: Our Scribes
Wilowy replied to IndependentMind's topic in Criminal Minds
For some reason WWE also has had a huge (pardon) presence at our Comic-Con these past few years. I wouldn't exactly call wrestling "genre", unless it's one unto itself. Though there are some, like Lou Ferrigno, who crosses both streams and was actually a real honor to meet. His upper arms are bigger around than my whole body, yet he had a surprisingly gentle handshake. And to get this back on topic... who amongst the writing staff (current or not) of CM do you think would be the most fun to pal around with? -
Unless Amy has a bold character written for her, she can come of kind of milquetoast at times. My favorite character of hers was Illyria. Did anyone see where AJ's movie "Wer" is available on iTunes, now? https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/wer/id899047069 Looks like a cool werewolf flick!
