Pregnancy can't be undone i guess ( well you know what I mean) but I don't think they'll go there. A rape can change you forever but ditto on not going there since they've glossed over it before when it would have happened to Oliver and Sara. I could actually see loosing a limb of some kind as "shocking twist" but it would be difficult to keep up in non GA scenes and training scenes even if it's a foot. I wouldn't mind temporary amnesia as long as it didn't get used as a free pass for a break up and dating someone else for a few eps, which it totally would. And it wouldn't change things forever. That said even the "can't undo it stuff has a high chance of being ignored or forgotten see: exploding island. Though after the guff they got from that maybe there are slightly more consequences.

Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT

Well JM is a good, very expessive actress and Ava is more interesting now we know we met several clones, there is stuff to work on beyond 'Rip is clearly a psychopath now'. Still not entirely sold on their love but eh. She'll probably 'amusingly' butt heads with Constantine whenever he's on the ship. Seems like the seats are full up so no Jax back permanently. Sigh. -
S03.E17: Guest Starring John Noble
Featherhat replied to scarynikki12's topic in Legends Of Tomorrow
As others have said Obama was presumably President in the pilot of Arrow (when they were supposed to be close to realistic. So since then a non Clinton female President happened, but they don't let that stand in they way of political jokes (see Supergirl where it make seven less sense). The Obama thing was way less cringy than I thought it was going to be. -
Yeah, I'd actually be really annoyed if he was brought back in any bigger capacity than a guest right after Thea left and there's no scene of them (or all three of them) acknowledging that they are really biological brother and sister not just honorary ones, because that's the best part of the clusterfuck that was Thea's paternity. I don't think he's back full time, CM doesn't use him all that well but he's still a lead and isn't his wife currently on Broadway, Chicago is a lot closer to NYC than Vancouver. Plus, he'd probably be a villain and whilst CD proved he could do that with NaziTommy, I don't think I'd like that longterm. Human Target!Tommy I could go with for this ep. I didn't really like him until he found out about Oliver and that changed a lot, but he did have his moments before then. He brought out the best chemistry in KC apart from PB, even though we know he was something of a consolation prize. I think if he had lived or become the Dark Archer due to Lauriver then fans would see him differently, but he died heroically and tragically after some of the worst few days of his life. Isn't SA normally much more into toeing the line and keeping production's secrets and annoyed at spoilers? The only other time I can think of is the Manu Benet Saga last year where he spoiled Slade's return and MB kicked off claiming everyone was delusional and he had no plans to leave NZ and then tried to hide his face in the airport.

Thanks. Hmm, well that doesn't allievate my worries about Quentin, who I don't want to die despite him being nuts right now. I refuse to start worrying that EBR is being killed off or otherwise leaving and I don't know about KC, but I assume she's back in the Arrowverse in some form though I really hope she isn't actually moving to LOT. Of course it probably means nothing for any of them.

I think a lot of shows like to negotiate a year ahead if they can. Negotiations that come down to the wire can cause a lot of headaches. Have all the cast that use SM a lot celebrated the news? I'm worried about Quentin with Sara coming back.
-
Helena maybe? That would be a big thing they'd want to keep under wraps and a comic booky thing they might want to explore next season. Barry or the LOT resurrected Samantha so William can go off and live with her? Though I think AH lives in Vancouver. Could just be doing a scene using regulars that they want to keep secret for now and no surprise guest.

Nope she's not actually billed higher. PB and ST got the highly coveted WITH Susan Thompson AND Paul Blackthorne. Willa 5th after SA, KC, CD and DR, that's actually technically *last* in the credits in some ways because "With and And" are special. I don't deny WH was a great coup for the show, but so was PB who had had multiple series regular and recurring roles in shows for over a decade. I do think they knew this was going to be her last season, but supposedly that's because she asked for it and they agreed, not because she wasn't originally signed on for 7. If she hadn't wanted out, she'd still be there. I'm always slightly worried at renegotiation time because you never know if things are going to go pear shaped, even if everyone wants everyone to stay etc, but there's no point in worrying about it unless we specifically hear some worrisome rumours. Indeed, 2nd billed and probably one of the higher salaries, completely useless to the story half the time, even as BC.

Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT

I thought they almost certainly would be already, but when MR was announced I took that as confirmation, they just could officially say it yet. They might have to change how he uses his magic and tweak his character a bit to work with the team and not run roughshod over Sara all the time (cue whining about them changing such a big character - why I'm sceptical of him joining full time). I guess we'll have magic focused episodes again, which I'm not thrilled about. I think DD is going to survive to chew scenery at the Legends another day to help with this. DD is really becoming the MM of LOT. When the actual MM was on LOT he didn't wear out his welcome like he did on Arrow. -
Not surprising, especially once LOT announced Matt Ryan joining as a regular, *if* they were renewed it was basically a confirmation that all 4 would be. I guess this will definitely be final seasons for JTV and CEG. Even with Sunday opening up and probably a lot of shows having shorter seasons, the CW still have a lot of pilots on the go so I would imagine the 4 not renewed are in definite trouble, unless a lot of their pilots are awful.

I'm pretty sure she had the same 7 year contract originally, but for whatever reason her episode count got shortened last season, supposedly because she asked for it but there is some controversy, and a shorter contract this season, leading to her exit. The writers insist it was something she wanted and they agreed to it. Contracts can change, Colin Donnell confirmed he was contracted for 7 seasons and he only lasted one because they decided to kill him and keep Malcolm on as the Dark Archer. Similar to ST and KC, the network is under no obligation to keep them until the end of their contracts, they can tell them they're being killed off early, it's basically just to tie in the actors to make themselves available to the network in exchange for their name in the credits and a regular income as long as it lasts or they negotiate an early exit. Depending on the actor other perks might be written in as well. WH might have been a better known actor to the CW audience but PB had been around a long time and had his own show a few years before and been a regular on several others, he like ST was definitely a significant casting for the show.

The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
Featherhat replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
Probably. And KL was playing the whole thing very dry. -
IIRC Emily once said she was signed through S7 (6 seasons) a few years ago and DR was presumably given the same 7 year contract all the S1 regulars were, not sure if he's ever confirmed but we know most others were. Obviously that doesn't mean they can't be killed off or leave, but I hope I'm right in saying it's unlikely at least until the finale season. Callistawolf is right that it's basically the same language they use every year and right now it's too vague to panic about anything specific, though nothing he said at that con makes me very enthusiastic about the finale or S7. The only thing I do think is they might want a finale which has a few more stakes than the non event that was the exploding of Lian Yu which only killed Samantha so far (outside chance of Talia or Evelyn, but I wouldn't count on it, SA did say he wouldn't mind Evelyn being redeemed because she was a dumb teen and Talia is a big character that can always be brought back, especially with KL having a different show).

The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
Featherhat replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
Nyssa absolutely knew what she was doing, she admitted it outright to Oliver with a smile. The only thing she apparently didn't get was Felicity wanted her out of the room not breathing down her neck but she absolutely knew she was needling with the sister wife comment, wasn't it after Oliver had asked her to stop as well? -
I suspect we will see them again, they can't seem to let the LOA go, and especially with Athena being Captain Singh's IRL wife I wouldn't be surprised to see her again. That's a good point. Especially as their big public engagement/break up would bring all the past gossip up, as well as their surprise wedding. She got on well with Sara, the most scandalous part of his past affairs. I don't really want an episode on it, but it might be interesting to have a line or two about that in an ep, like "oh yet another woman his claiming to have a sex tape with Mayor HandsomeGreenArrow". They did bring it up a bit in the context of Sara and Laurel when he was campaigning but that was mostly so Thea could push him into being friends with Laurel again right before she died. I was always a bit annoyed we never got any of Felicity's perspective of everyone at QC and probably therefore gossip columnists assuming she was being bedded by the boss.
-
Isn't that also something they've said about the end of seasons before. I guess it depends what the "event" is. Maybe all is forgiven between everyone? Or opposite, everyone goes their own way in order to come back together in the first couple of eps of S7. Or would outing himself as GA count as a reset? Amnesia? Flashpoint? LOT effing everything up. Kidding about some of these. Glad the thing between Olicity and William is resolved, I don't want them on the outs as well as Diggle.

I remember Ben Browder was supposed to have a regular role in it but was recast and I was really annoyed. After seeing it I was glad I didn't have to keep watching it for him. SA did manage to get on the CW after that with TVD but I can't say he made any impression on me with that role. -
This being repeated is just making me frustrated that the stupid Dig storyline isn't sorted out in the end of 617 and possibly (together with the Helix spoiler) that the lashing out at Felicity and William is more serious than snapping and having to apologise. Unless he can't because he's in jail. @Belinea She can technically mess with time but she generally doesn't, and has become way against it this season because they did so at the end of last season and now things are majorly fucked up in history (Julius Caesar in Aruba, Einstein in the Arctic, Dinosaurs (and Big Ben!) in LA etc) leading to something that would be worse than Flashpoint and let a demon destroy everything. But technically they can do it. Realities, not yet anyway, that might happen down the road though.
-
Hmm, depending on what more like classic GA is, I'm not exactly excited if it's the Van Dyke, or the wise cracking dude, a GA/BC romance or a return to being a playboy. (I don't think the last two would be the case unless the "event" is Felicity's death or leaving him and I don't think it's likely). Public GA might be interesting, I guess but I'm really not sure how that would go in the context of the show.
-
You might just as well use "Cheated on her constantly" "Forced marriage or Death" and "Lied about the kid dying". And for Felicity "Love of his life" Desperate to marry her" "Currently co-parenting the kid together". But yeah, first isn't so important in a relationship as last. Felicity herself had a different first love and look what happened with him. Yeah I don't think it was insecurity as such just possessive annoyance at this played out "joke" by Nyssa. She doesn't think they're suddenly get together or anything. I imagine if Sara ever found out her ex had managed to marry the love of her life whilst she was dead she might not be too pleased. Mostly I just think the writers think its funny and wanted them trading banter, hopefully now it's been fully played out. And @JamieLynn832002 might have a point about being reminded of a sucky time in their lives, whilst this is Nyssa's coping mechanism of same.
-
If Nyssa and Oliver's 'marriage' makes Olicity's one invalid then I guess I'd better look up the 6 year old I 'married' in the garden when we were kids before I get real married because that has just as much validity. Nyssa clearly said she just enjoyed yanking their chains. Oliver even thanked her for the "wedding present" having asked her to stop calling him husband because he had an actual wife now. Anti Olicity peeps have been calling Nyssa his real wife/first wife for years now and will probably carry on going, they've got to take what they can get I guess. Si think so, which made it all the weirder when in the mess of masks in parts of S5 she was the only one not suiting up who could have but was strictly in the mayor storyline and then suddenly gone for half the season.

Well I don't care if the boobs never like him again but I hope Dig and Felicity aren't still mad at him by the end of the season. -

I kind of figure they offered/wanted JN to actually appear in an ep and mantee/dart board/lucky dip just kept coming back with "John Noble" so they got the hint. -
Turning himself into the DA or going off by himself for a while thinking he's no good for his family? Possibly stepping down so they do need another income source. Or alternatively refocusing online and encouraging them. Probably not though.

That was the best. It showed what close siblings they had been despite the 10 year age gap an Moira's questionable parenting plan and love in one scene, and also Moira's knowledge and affection for her kids but also wanting to paper over the cracks of the last few years. That's the scene I was also thinking of. A pretty good one of all three from S1 and the Oliver/Tommy "thank god she's not cooking herself" is actually an understandably funny moment from them where you can believe that they were all friends once. Also introduces the concept of Sara as Canary (Black).
