You freaking NAILED IT!

Tre looked a little bugged by Jennifer's hosted mothers' celebration. I don't feel like it was all about "missing her mom" though I don't doubt that was part of it. It started with the "you're not a big drinker?!" 😒... But seeing the food spread, the house, & the happiness of the other women and their moms to be there (including all the moms being impressed by the house), Tre seemed to have felt her status as #1 HBIC slipping away. Jen is more likeable now. She has a good marriage from what is presented & she has a loving relationship with her whole family (like they've all always been about faaambly). Idk...I just got that perturbed vibe off of Tre that wasn't all about her mom. It was about her not being the #1 star anymore.

On Erik & Virginia & cats: Erik could've shut this down with one question/comment (though knowing VA, I doubt she would let it lie). He could've said "well the cats rely on you to sleep with them...so what are they doing on those nights you crash at your buddies' places after nights out?...let's do the same with the cats as they have on those occasions." This is a medical issue for Erik. There are no excuses as to why she shouldn't compromise.

Yes! & As Jake said, when Haley was "trying," it was fake. She tried to defend herself by calling her faking for camera "trying," but Jake knows behind closed doors what was going on and she was only around for filming. That's being FAKE. She never even slept in the same bed when there was a choice. She waxed poetic when it came to what she "learned about herself" during this experiment in her true competitive spirit-saying ALL the generic things you're *supposed* to say. Her "team" took a loss when GENUINE & very much *not* fake Jake couldn't come up with a similar generic MAFS answer. Some are calling Jake all these things alluding to immature, impolite, uncaring, etc. What I've seen is a guy at wit's end just responding in an expected way considering what he's been dealt. When someone snipes at you & criticizes you & you smile & take it,it would be extremely creepy & robotic.

Sadly, I get the feeling that if they are to continue their relationship, the cops will be involved in Erik & Virginia's relationship at some point. Either it will be a domestic where they snap(😕) or it will be a situation where Virginia takes Erik out drinking and she can't keep her mouth shut towards someone like with Chris in Vegas. She is an immature know-it-all & doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. That's been shown already. In Vegas, even Clara knew when to back off of Chris but Virginia keeps going, showing that immaturity. I just get this nasty feeling.

I've wondered the SAME. My dad's buddy lived separately from his wife for several years bc of his own problems then they reconciled and he moved back in. My mom is astounded at how that could've happened and all the $$ flushed away during that period, wasted on rent $$. This show make it so casual like "oh whatever works for them!" Like, there are families who can't afford ONE home or swing rent nowadays.

I don't get the hate on Jake's body & diet. He's put a lot of work into that body. He eats what is required to maintain his body. I don't think he's a caveman or crude. I think he is pretty mild in his behaviors & articulates his emotions coherently. He's been all but cuckolded by his tv "wife." It's his choice to eat 8 eggs assuming he was hungry. It's not weird. Taking his steaks home and hauling ass outta there early was good on him. The "kind words" letters to each other pretty much sounded like goodbye letters to one another as it is. Everyone knows it's over. Miles vary around here but this is MY opinion.

Yes! Your whole post is spot on. My assessment of Haley went from 60/40 to about 90/10 on an insufferable bi**h scale. Only because I don't think anyone is ALL bad, right? She has a mean girls mentality.

Absolutely not. I know some jerk kids who turned out pretty nice as adults. I just don't like her that much as an adult but I get that she's incompatible with Jake. With a different guy, maybe more of her positives would show through. I'm giving her a bit of a pass as a Pearl Jam fan. But IMO she's still about 60/40. My husband doesn't mind her at all. -
I rewatched a little & did see the guests scoop off the tablecloth and into a bowl. So no evidence of double dipping. But still. LoL I didn't care for the whole presentation.
-
Well no but definitely they ate it off the mat with spoons. Spoons that go in your mouth then out then back in again which I consider the same as licking off a community mat. I'm very picky & grossed out by double dipping or any kind of situation where someone somehow puts their saliva near an area I'm supposed to get food from.

Ohhh...Daisy, honey, it's not "the irony is palpitating"- I think you meant that the irony is PALPABLE. And saying "humble pie" repeatedly is annoying. If Natasha is supposed to be "humbled," it'll be at the cost of everyone's tip. I think a lot of confidence in your job skills is actually a good thing! I know there have been a few snafus but all-in-all, I think chef is delivering. I just cringed on the dessert at the end with "artistic" presentation. It reminded me of a kitschy Carnival cruise type situation (not that there's anything wrong with my Carnival cruises) but it's up there with "a tour of the engine room" type of filler stuff. I find it tacky for a chartered yacht. Also cringeworthy was that everyone has to be licking off of this giant placemat during A PANDEMIC! Covid only mildly seems to exist in this season. I don't like a false type of narrative that's not in line with the fear, paranoia & severity of the times. It's not entertaining to watch but I sort of would like to be privy to how crews and guests worked around the situation. In the vans, they had masks on, then off, then on, whenever they felt like it. It was so arbitrary. 🤷♀️ Sydney, the desperation is PALPABLE watching you have palpitations any time Alli gets within a few yards of Gary. 😉 What's more is Alli doesn't seem very phased by drunk Sydney's berating. Better looking? More fit? A better match on paper?! Hm...I don't know about all that? Gary is gross anyway.

Thank you. I could be losing a gold mine here but I doubt I'm clever enough to have thought it up. I probably at some point saw it somewhere or other & incorporated it into my vernacular. It's just a thing I abide by in life. I've seen enough shallow estimations of people out there & unwillingness to compromise that it sickens me. -

If a guy like (my fave) Henry Cavill was at the altar & Haley didn't have her infinity whatever kind of jewelry on & cast it off with her mom in another state, I wonder if when Henry Cavill-looking guy expressed his disappointment over the jewelry making zero appearances this whole month, if Haley would've been as detached, cold, remorseless & excuse laden with no intent to repair the feelings of the husband as she is with Jake. I ALWAYS say the same in relationships- be careful what you look for because it may be ALL that you get. ETA: Yes Jake has a personality that could be difficult to work with but it's been exacerbated by Haley's side-eyeing and competitive, passive aggressive commenting. If there were a more open bubbly wife, she might have fun with him & roll with it. His weirdness & his faces and closed eyed sighs are all just the 38 year old's minimal bullsh** tolerance coming out. Been there done that. I'm his age & I tell you if I were out there dealing with potential mates now, I might react similarly. -

Jake is an oddball but he's been shown to be an oddball with some heart and with intentions to be married with family. Haley checked out. The interaction with her mother explained everything about how she got to where she is in her self- centeredness. She reminds me of someone very close to me in my sphere of existence and all the characteristics make me want to barf. That individual is all about herself. Friendships and family exist to serve her. She's contemporary & on trend down to le' divorce. So chic (sarcasm).🙄 Yes- whatever Jake spent on the infinity bracelet was a symbol that he was *in.* He would have made it work with a piece of drywall if that's what showed up at the altar. Haley is not into him and she is unmoving just like her four year old self. I wonder what her family shelled out over the years trying to get little Haley to be involved in activities. That sh**'s expensive. I am not into forcing kids to the point of their own emotional or physical distress but there are ways of coaxing them into things and I've had some experience with it. If I fully paid for an activity (as done before) I negotiate with the kid and we get to an agreement. My girls wore tutus over their karate uniforms so they'd get into the car. So if it's hundreds per month or even $50, you try to make it work. Kid won't wear a helmet, get some stickers or something to put on it. Just try anything til the kid comes around. Jake probably just kept thinking what he could do to his house for the $300-800 he spent on a gift for the woman he now knows is done 1000%. Maybe it's not a lot but definitely a few bags of gravel for his "oasis." I'm sure both will find their happy ending eventually. -

S12.E14: I Expected a Little Better
Kdawg82 replied to humbleopinion's topic in Married At First Sight
I said when I saw this: Not passing out on Guy friends' couches after the pub is to marriage as diet and exercise are to living a longer, healthier life. Sure, you can be hit by a bus, get cancer, other variables can kill you or make you get sick despite all efforts to the contrary. BUT it's common knowlege that this is an expectation in life. Can I get drunk with hetero male friends weekly and crash on their couches and have a happy marriage? Yeah- maybe. But it's the exception not the rule. Can I guzzle Pepsi and live on goldfish crackers and big macs and live longer than someone else? Yeah but it's the exception. If Ginny can't see this, she's a lost cause. Eric's sister-in-law was giving off major side-eye at Ginny both in talking heads & in person. Also, look at these two women who are similar in age and the greasy, blemished, jittery Virginia compared to the composed, clean, dewy complexioned sister-in-law. -
RHoNJ in the Media: Paparazzi Whore!

Idk if this is where we discuss WWHL. If not, please correct me. Melissa was on after the "pineapple puss" ep on Weds. She claims that her monthly "allowance" from JoeGo before she started "making her own $$" was about $20-30,000(USD)/month. Ummm...ex-queeze me! Does ANYONE in their right mind believe that?? I highly doubt it. Even Jennifer Aydin probably doesn't have that as a shopping limit per month and her spouse is a plastic surgeon. Also, Mel's voice was not nasally with that thick Jersey accent on WWHL. I believe during filming, she plays it all up for the cameras. -
Don't judge me but I know this. The Bible specifically states that there were psychics. They existed. Jesus himself exercised the demons out of the psychics as that was the entity that was giving the people those powers. As I understand it, other Christian denominations abide by the same rule...psychics are not allowed. You're essentially communing with demons that are possessing the person. I'll exempt any howives psychics of being demon possessed on the grounds that they're your run of the mill frauds. They have no powers from demons or otherwise.
-
I said EXACTLY what Evan said... "yeah but 90% of Jewish grandmothers are called Esther." Just like all howives "psychics" this one was a fake. She just reached for and researched more obscure facts. Mel & Joe's story lines are fake fake fake.

A lot of speculation about what type of engineer Briana is... I could've sworn on the kickoff special, it showed her in a descriptive montage of her with her looking over blueprints at a sort of architect's-type desk. So I assumed she was an engineer more like a civil engineer or something like that?? I got satisfaction when Hailey was called out in every scene where Jake has to change for *HER* and being asked what *she* is contributing. I understand her side too but she's not being honest with him or with herself in terms of being "the one for her." Her version of trying is 1) trying to hide her scowls at his replies or lack thereof to her questions and 2) her asking some "probing" Questions. I honestly don't even think she has any evidence of a sense of humor that I've seen at all. I have a feeling she's been "traveling the world" trying to find herself a-la "eat, pray, love" but any time it fell through like her in Australia with the job that "didn't work out," she just comes back to the open arms of her family and they help her get herself back together. I don't even know if she knows who she is. But anyway, aggravating seeing her cry any time she's called out. I don't think anyone has ever done that to her. "Hard on myself" is a way to cover up the image of perfection she tries to portray despite deep insecurity because she's been "yes'd" to death by all around her. I like her girlfriends though and they at least brought more to the table than her. Everyone summed up Chris so no need to go there. Eric may be "controlling" but miss party girl "I'll be home whenever I damn well please" isn't helping any tendencies he has towards that. Who the heck cares for her dogs when she's out partying? It's no wonder any pet of hers would have issues. I agree with others saying she needs a professional to tell her stop drinking because Eric's credibility has been compromised. Ryan and Clara- Whatever reason he won't have sex with her is his personal business and her business as well. It's upsetting he won't be honest with her and she has to vent out to the other women. That's very wrong to not be upfront. If he's accepting sexual favors from her, it's especially wrong. I've always liked him and I've grown to like Clara. But refusal to raise kids in the church is a deal breaker for him and I get that. The experts messed up AGAIN on the issues of utter importance to the couples. I wonder if they will last. Not so sure even if they get to decision day that they'll get much further.

To think I used to really like Mike. But the point here is if you can't imagine life without someone, you marry them. He wants it both ways. He's not just trying to protect her from COVID and prevent her flying. Why then was his only concern before that "give me the ring back. PLEASE give me the ring back!" He's not here for her. He'd be the crappiest boyfriend and noncommittal partner if someone were in the states. Without a visa hanging over his head, he'd have a woman he might live with but never marry. Works for some people and not for others. Wonder what will happen here. I ended up minding Julia of Brandon & Julia less than I thought I would. By now I prefer her over Brandon. His parents ended up being super sweet. Jovi should probably wake up with missing male parts one morning. That is all. Rebecca...well I guess that happened. Blech! Anyone else I don't remember.

S11.E06: Dildos Down the Shore
Kdawg82 replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
Melissa is grating this season. I can not take it. From the luxury name brands emblazoned on her (not "Envy" boutique) attire to her constant prying & pecking at Delores to her contemporary/sterile newb shorehouse. I used to not mind her so much. But she seems a tad jealous of Delores and maybe Teresa. She's always swatting away her husband. Makes me believe she's jealous these women are unattached & she's still tethered down by younger kids & an annoying husband. The whole thing was weird. Jennifer is seemingly the sleeper favorite this year. Marge does seem more bitter. As her clothing gets tackier. Joe B. never said he heard the Evan rumor outside the home. He said he heard it bc he's in a house full of women. Who cares anymore anyway besides Jackie? Meh. I enjoy Delores. Her kids are so beautiful & look so different from either her or Frank (who are beautiful / handsome in their own way). I have to disagree with Delores though on others not being able to get through this all like Teresa has....I said to myself "yeah...like Teresa did...with her millions still intact. How gracefully she got through it." I like Teresa's cordiality with Joe Giu. -

I'm sorry. I could hardly focus on the dinner with Jackie's mulletted extensions blowing in her face. She needed to take them out immediately. I guess quarantine rendered her stylist unavailable? Idk but not good. I'm SOOO jealous of how these women can cook and make it look effortless & look mostly beautiful while chopping garlic in athleisure. I guess maybe one day when I don't have so many Littles swirling around me, I can do it. Second thing I'm jealous of are the uncluttered counter tops and homes in general. I'm like 😫looking at my poor ass house lol. -
I *SO* can't blame Natalie for the rage. Beginning of Cov*d, most of us were super freaked out. Still are but back then wheeeeew! She told Mike like it is, "you're sending me to possibly get sick." Adding injury to Insult in this case...the insult is dumping her day of wedding & injury = the Cov*d or even mentall distress of possibly contracting this horrible virus. Getting stuck in France & maybe by luck getting to Ukraine. All the while mandatory quarantining so cut off from anyone who can console her. The interaction with Beaux though...priceless! "I'm sorry. I will not keep in touch. I can not." "Oh ok. Well have a nice life etc." And he looked like he DEFINITELY came dressed in his best wedding attire. On. Point.
