  1. Just piping in to say there's so much about B. that merits criticism. The body shaming feels icky.
  2. But that invalidates the entirety of her storyline from the first season. She came to Monterey to find the man that raped her. She was clear about this. She even fantasized about pulling a gun on him. That line about seeking a good man who has a bad night had to have been written by a man, I can't imagine a woman writing that line unless it was part of a bigger arc where Jane eventually realizes she was raped. Is it possible to misunderstood what she said? I can't imagine a line like that not making it into the Twitter stream for the hashtag or inspiring a think piece or two.
  3. So they teased stuff with Cory and the father's other family and then...nothing? And they tease Ed sleeping with Tits Mgee and then...nothing? Like others have said, this was a fucking waste.
  4. I think the majority of criticism here centers around Bethenny endlessly talking about Dennis as though he thought she was the love of his life and he was so devoted to her daughter. Public talk like that is inappropriate given his ex-wife/mother of his kids and his children will likely hear about it. If you're a decent human being, you just don't do that. It's insensitive and, frankly, rude. It's especially egregious when it's getting clearer by the minute her relationship with Dennis was nothing close to committed. One of Bethenny's biggest flaws is that she speaks first, thinks later. She spits stuff out in the moment, then has to backpedal when she's caught lying or contradicting herself. She routinely embellishes if not manufactures narratives and is never held accountable for any of it. Watching her hijack the entire reunion while Andy sat there and never once stepped in shows just how afraid of her people are. And they're not afraid if her power or influence, as she doesn't really have any. They're intimidated by her lack of a conscience, volatility and reach. Look what she does. If someone crosses her, she goes on a TV show and says they're on drugs. She accuses them of abuse. She accuses them of torturing her. True or not, she doesn't care and she knows nobody will stand up to her, including Andy Cohen. While I don't think B. has any dirt on Cohen, I think Cohen has skeletons in his closet he doesn't want dragged into the light. It's gone beyond the sassy smart mouth Skinny Girl mogul. It's not funny or endearing anymore. She's. fucking. crazy.
  5. it's like she doesn't watch her own show. Girl, you were flying up to Boston to see his guy long before Christmas. In the article, that's when she implies she first went out with him. Honey, just admit it. Either you were cheating on your "fiancee" with this guy or you started dating him soon after Dennis died and weren't nearly as wrecked by his death as you claimed. Christ. The lengths she goes to for attention. Now she's trying to legitimize the relationship in the press after spending 3 months crying about her dead fiancee.
  6. Eventually, Emma Roberts us going to have to be held responsible for the beat down she gave Evan Peters. It's absolutely ridiculous that she's gotten a pass on that. I don't doubt Murphy has her and Billie Lourd front and center, which doesn't leave me very hopeful. Though I am thrilled Sarah Paulson will have a smaller role. She has one speed on this show: Sassy but tortured white lady. At least Peters showed range. Leslie Grossman is playing the nutty/neurotic blonde. Matthew Morrison is...whatever. Christ. Bring back Finn Wittrock, please. He never disappoints. From the cast reveal teaser, it looks like Cody Fern is playing an 80's version of Michael Langdon: Cocky, slightly effeminate and maybe a little dangerous aka every role James Spader played in the 80's. As for the theme, the cabin has a marker on the floor like when they're blocking scenes in films/tv. So maybe it centers around a horror movie set?
  7. That felt strategic to me, like he was trying to make Jane paranoid. It's probably going to end up that he started out as some kind of mole but ended up falling for Jane. And so much THIS! to the lazy writing in the Renata/ML scene. At the very least, they should have given Renata a few good comebacks. Especially since ML was criticizing Renata for working and not being home with her kids. I mean, one of ML's sons died mysteriously as a kid and the other turned out to be an abusive rapist. She's not exactly Parent of The Year material.
  8. In the scene from last week's episode where Jane was telling Corey about the rape, there was something about his reaction upon learning Iggy was a product of rape that hinted at him having a personal investment in the narrative. Sure, it could have just been a choice by the actor, but that combined with how anxious he seemed to meet Ziggy suggests to me he has a personal connection to Perry and the murder. You'd have to be the worst cop ever to allow a child to get so attached to you knowing you wouldn't be sticking around. Unless, of course, you're both a cop AND Perry's half-brother.
  9. They wouldn't have had Mary Louise drop that nugget about Perry's dad starting a new family for no reason. I still have money on Corey being Perry's half brother. And since we're doing that, I called Corey being a cop/informant on Jun 23. 😁 ML's take down of Renata was masterful. She hones in on people's vulnerabilities and exploits them.
  10. I hate to say it, but I could totally see this being true. Witherspoon gives off major Tracy Flick vibes, so I could see her wanting a second shot at out shining Kidman. I've never bought Witherspoon's "I just want to produce great stories for women" act. Gone Girl, Wild, BLL, The Luckiest Girl Alive, Eleanor Olyphant, etc. She keeps optioning books with the same messy layered thirty/forty-something lead protagonist so she can play the role and win awards.
  11. I think Corey not appearing cunning enough is intentional. Stay with me here. (Puts on tin foil hat) I think ML is a misdirect. We're all convinced ML is so sinister that she's out to get whomever killed her son. What if the truly dangerous one is Corey? (I suspect the gun in the opening credits hints at something to come.) Do we know how old Perry was when his brother died? Was he five or was the brother 5? I'm all in that Corey is - at least -a half-sibling of Perry's. They wouldn't keep bringing up the brother if the brother didn't the in to the plot. TL/DR Corey will kill someone (ML) or be killed by (ML). I don't see them having yet another one of the five women killing someone.
  12. I would love to see Ed with Bonnie. Their personalities seem to suit each other. Madeline belongs with and frankly deserves a man like Nate. They're both wildly self-involved and emotionally volatile. No wonder she was drawn to him. Celeste is a mess. The other women are over looking her current emotional state, her recklessness, her use of medications, AND the fact that she has hit both ML and her child because they dislike ML and because Perry was a monster. Home girl needs some time to work her shit out. Her kids are at risk. Last night's Renata was the one from season one: Consumed with a need to provide for and protect her child combined with a "fuck with me and I will end you" edge. She gets the best dialogue for a reason.
  13. Back Bay! I went to Emerson so that brings me back. I will give her this: Bethenny invests wisely. You have to wonder, though, how Bryn fits into all that. is she going to uproot her every weekend or did she buy that place just so she could have someplace to stay for a handful of days a month?
  14. My guess is he came to Monterey after hearing about Perry's death.
  15. Calling it Now... Cory is Perry's half-brother. They wouldn't just casually drop the fact that Perry's father left and had more kids for no reason.
  16. That class sounds literally kick-ass; but keep in mind that you were not in any legitimate danger. Your sparring sessions were being moderated and to some extent you knew or were familiar with your opponent. Your fight/flight/freeze response did not kick in. How we react during stressful/traumatic situations is often polar opposite to how we handle situations under normal/safe circumstances. I say this because Bonnie's reaction, especially that primal "Nooooooo!" as she was running implies she was triggered. There were three other women there struggling with Perry and not one of them managed to lose their balance and tumble down the stairs.Bonnie snapped. That's the problem. That's what could make what she did look like she wanted to kill Perry, not protect Celeste.
  17. Bethenny might always have a boyfriend, but there hasn't been one guy she's dated who hasn't been problematic or wrestled with demons. A rage machine, an accused rapist, a man addicted to opiods, etc. Water seeks it's own level. The men she gets are damaged goods in one way or another. Anybody who just wanted someone they could flaunt on social media can find a boyfriend. The good guys, the ones with a back bone and self-respect, are leery of dating women with a public persona like Bethenny's. She's got a documented history of publicly raking men - starting with her father - over the coals. They don't want to become fodder for her next social media rant. She'll never date a quality man. She will only every get men who are as damaged as she is. That's not confidence she displays, that's bravado. She's also not charismatic. Charisma requires charm, and she has none. She's just domineering and abrasive. She either attracts weak men like Dennis and Jason or men looking to use her for exposure. Say what you want about Luann, but you don't see her tripping over herself to find a man. That's another reason why the other women have issues with her. Dorinda, Ramona, Bethenny and Sonja don't know who they are without a man to validate them. All of these women are consumed with themselves, it just manifests differently with Luann. Tinsley is eager because her mother makes her feel worthless because she's not married and doesn't have kids. That's a fate worse than death to her mom. If Tinsley could break free of that and find supportive girlfriends, she'd be perfectly content with her life as it is. She's surrounded by women who think being single is a disease.
  18. I inferred that he was mocking the fact Bethenny claimed to be celebrating or acknowledging a holiday in some way, not the faith/religion itself. As for the comments that she's bitter and miserable and creates moments for social media, I'd say that was spot on. The truth hurts, I guess. Her entire media presence - social and otherwise - is a series of staged moments. Also, let's not overlook the fact that if Bethenny weren't a celebrity, privileged and white, her contentious snorts, smirks and eye-rolling wouldn't be tolerated. She has zero ability to regulate her emotions. That in and of itself is a reason for her not to have sole custody.
  19. You'll never convince me Bethenny didn't embellish if not out right fake her "near death" experience because Dorinda, Sonja and Luann were getting their time in the spotlight. God forbid ANYBODY be the center of attention except Bethenny. Seriously, her need for attention and adulation is pathological. She can not handle when other women are getting attention and taking the focus off her.
  20. Could Kelsey - for once - not make out with a guy at a work function? Girl, get it together. All eyes are on you. Stop acting like some college freshman at a keg Party. AND OH MY GOD FIX YOUR FOUNDATION AND HIGHLIGHTER!!!!
  21. The over the topness of this scene makes me think they were laying the ground work for Corey being some kind of plant or informant. He was trying too hard to prove he was some kind of expert. I think Corey is someone Mary Louise or the detective found to get close to Jane to learn the truth about Perry.
  22. The lie in and of itself could be considered a crime. The fact they lied implies they know what happened could result in charges of manslaughter. Which it was. She pushed him down the stairs. That wasn't an accident. It was intentional. She may have been protecting Celeste, but in that moment, it wasn't about Celeste at all. What she saw triggered feelings of seeing her mother/father be abused. It's not cut and dry. law enforcement and the judicial system aren't terribly sympathetic to women who are victims of abuse.
  23. I'm not sure anyone other than Bonnie feels bad about how Perry died. I think what has them unraveling is the threat of the cover up being revealed. Ultimately, Renata and Madelyn only care about themselves and what other people think if them. They always need to control the dynamic. I think both would rather go to prison than to lose the upper hand or be considered a social outcast.
  24. Does Monterey only have one therapist? Isn't having two friends as patients a conflict if interest for the therapist? What's the over under that Weird Guy Corey is related to Perry? He was awfully eager to meet Ziggy. Madeline is so far up her own ass it's a wonder she can breathe, She even made Celeste's abuse about her. Hate to say it, but it's looking that this entire season was written just to have Meryl Streep join the cast.
