Kids like Happy Meals. My kids aren't as thrilled when I buy a 20 piece nuggets and large fries, say, and have us all share it. Having your own Happy Meal is fun. It's been designed to be that way.

I lost a lot of respect for Dr. Proctor for giving Amy the surgery. His goal for her was too easy. She didn't demonstrate that she could follow an eating plan for any length of time, which became apparent as she couldn't even follow the liquid diet for one week after surgery. I think Proctor jumped the gun on this one, big time.

YES, this was such a powerful scene! So real, I couldn't believe we were seeing it.

I can't believe the hotel had no way to access the pool other than by using stairs. That is not ADA compliant. They appeared to have that automatic chair that can be used to enter the water without walking in, so why the lack of access to the pool area? That's not ok.

Wow, Danielle could not hide her disdain for Riley. It seemed like she hated the girl. Maybe if she gave Riley some positive attention, perhaps spend some time chatting with her while swinging in a hammock, Danielle might notice a change in Riley's behavior. I felt so bad for that girl with the negative attitude her mother directed towards her.

Those twins, oh no no no no no. I used to like one of them (not sure which), but on this trip they both behaved horridly. The way one had a meltdown in the van because he couldn’t have his muffins? Oh no sir you do not speak to your mother like that! I can’t believe the parents let that go. “Give me the chocolate!” Oh hell no. And then the other who had his meltdown because he couldn’t go on one ride. No sir. Just no. Guess what, not everyone gets to do everything, and you have to chill and wait for the others to have their fun. I definitely did not like how Eric just hugged him after that tantrum, without any kind of taking to. I’m sorry, but when kids behave like that, which yes they will, they need to be corrected. Not “well that’s how he is, just give him some space.” How about some consequences, like you don’t get to go on the next ride because you are spoiling other people’s fun. Total opposite was how great Saylor was and always is with the babies and the whole situation. And the babies were also super chill and went with the flow for the most part.

When Renee was leaving the hospital near the end, I think it was after the surgery, several people came in and wheeled out her out. One of the men had a mask on in the room initially, then when they were down in the garage / parking lot, all of the people had masks on. I wonder if this was because she had a terrible odor. If so, didn't the nurses bathe her while she was in the hospital?

Yikes, that photo of her in the black outfit, hands on hips, is NOT flattering.

They didn't do a vow renewal this year on MBFFL; just an anniversary trip to Hawaii.
