Meri did say something along those lines and I recall thinking at the time, if the 3 adults and some of the kids in your family who have actually lived with you are not embracing you, maybe it's time to take a long, hard look at your own behavior.
-
I see your POV but from my perspective, it seems to me that Meri lost Leon's respect by attempting to involve them in a conspiracy against a father that Leon presumably loved and cared for. This is an indefensible position to place a child in and as painful as a split from the family would have been before embarking on a search for love, it would have been the right thing to do.

Given a choice to spend time with either women, Mykelti would win hands down. Maddie would utter her profound statements, then rivet her eyes on yours seeking agreement. I feel I would come away from an encounter with Mykelti with a smile on my face, she seems so positive about her life. Same goes for the spouses, Caleb seems a giant bore to me, with Tony there would never be a dull moment. One may not agree with everything he has to say but at least there would be lively dialogue.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It may prove difficult to restrain Axel, didn't Maddie refer to him as her little monkey for scaling the board fence at home? -
If you mean that compass dial thing, I don't seem to have that.

Oh Joan my dear friend, I appreciate so much you trying to help me out but you lost me at Safari icon, Don't forget I'm a very elderly old broad doing my best to keep up with technology. I'll wait 'til one of the kidlets come over or wait it out 'til it disappears on it's own accord. It says I only have one minute and 40 seconds left to respond or they will give my "gift" to another lucky user, but they say that every day. Thanks again, but it's really not a hardship to get off the sofa and sit upright at my desk.⌨️

YES! And it's become really annoying. The one I'm getting is from Google to say as a loyal customer I am entitled to a free Android phone, several months of free Netflix or several other "gifts". It's been going on for 4 or 5 days now, but OK if I switch over to laptop.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I'm guessing part of #momlife was "loosly" teaching Maddie how to spell -
I think they were only at Lizzie's for a few weeks until Meri's friend Jenn stepped in to manage the place. After that, they moved to Salt Lake City, where Leon was employed as a program director at (I think) a senior's home. Audrey is a freelance graphic designer, so she can work remotely from anywhere I guess. No idea if Leon has secured employment in Denver, but am sure they have scoped out the best coffee shops in the city.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

It makes me irrationally angry that Janelle, Maddie and Christine are riding high on the hog by pushing these magical cure-alls laced with unpronounceable chemicals on gullible people. There is no need for gut cleanses or fasting if one eats a balanced diet including fiber and adopts even a moderate exercise regimen. Unless a person has a chronic digestive disease, this will work, it's the way living, breathing bodies were designed. -

The busyness of the pattern and the free flowing skirt do a lot to distract from her midriff. Good choice for her. -
I wondered where Leo found a Moorish doorway to pose in front of in Denver. The recent photos posted must have been taken while on the retreat.
-
Not surprised at the choice of Leo/Leon as a name. First, it's their astrological birth sign, second, lions possess a magnificent mane of hair and last but not least, they roar the loudest.

The show is running so far behind, Miss Avalon will be able to narrate the proceedings of the home birth herself.

Books and documentaries about polygamy: Let's gather them here!
Sandy W replied to CouchTater's topic in Sister Wives
She was, but he seems to have been an outlier from the Jessop clan. One of the reasons Robyn gave for divorcing him was that he refused to adopt polygamy in their marriage. Funny, she seems to have maneuvered her way into monogamous marriage now.- 202 replies

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It sounds as preposterous as losing 6 pounds in 3 days. Even on 600 Lb. Life, Dr. No doesn't put that kind of pressure on the truly obese clients he works with. Lose "fify pons in tirdy days", then we'll consider surgery. -
Here's my take on the great coffee grab. I don't think they were actually needy enough to beg people to pay for their coffee and croissants, it seemed to me that they were seeking community support in their new venture. A very poorly thought out ploy to prove to themselves that folks were rallying behind them. From what I understand, they took the post down fairly soon, they must have had a lot of backlash. I liken the incident to when Kristie Alley prevailed upon Oprah to have Nate Berkus design and provide her with a new kitchen. When questioned what motivated this outrageous grab, Kristie responded that yes, she could have paid for her own kitchen, but she wanted to prove to herself that Oprah liked her enough to to do this for her.

He stressed how he was excited by the bright lights. He had been a billboard salesman in Utah, maybe he felt he could graduate to neon signs in LV. Clever Robyn chose a house plan with a small balcony off the master bedroom and a lot sited so that this balcony would have a full view of the LV strip in the distance.

I think the kids saw through the hypocrisy of their parents. The wimmen folk have long since abandoned their "modest is hottest" look, Kody has cursed on the program, so we can assume he swears even more IRL, even Janelle let the F word rip. Kody no longer makes a pretense at living the principles of polygamy, where to outward appearances at least, each wife should be treated as fairly and equally as possible I think the hurried flight to Las Vegas was purely for story line as was leaving Las Vegas may have been so Robyn could Helicopter Mom Dayton. Kody did raise a stink about Ysabel's dress but it was nothing out of the ordinary for young women everywhere today.

@TurtlePower. I have been thinking about this distressing situation and maybe if the local government authorities can't/won't act on this, there may be another approach you could take. The 600 acres must be teeming with wildlife, perhaps even some endangered species. Do you think the State Conservation authorities may take an interest in this? If you set up some type of recording device, dating each episode so they could realize the extent of the trauma to the creatures great and small, it may be a cause for action on their part.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Meri does get things done. When Maddie put Meri in charge of the procession at her wedding, it afforded me one of the few LOL moments I have had from this show. You would have thought it was a royal wedding or a presidential inauguration. Meri took on the task with determination to get it RIGHT! She raced up and down the line in her sensible wedgies, clipboard in hand, barking orders to all and sundry. She was in her glory.🤹♀️ -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Sandy W replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I want some cuttings or seeds from the money trees Janelle and Maddie seem to have growing in their gardens. -
Could you call your local newspaper to get them to do a feature story on this? These yahoos may not realize the distress they are causing others, they may think they are putting on a display that everyone enjoys. On second thought, that may just egg them on, anyone that obtuse may amp it up to "show you" and give you something to really complain about. There must be bylaws about this type of activity, how about attending a council meeting and voicing your concerns, the local elected officials no doubt live in the same community and are affected too. I truly hope this can be resolved, your recent move seemed ideal for you in all other aspects. There must be a majority of others who feel as adversely as you are who are looking for someone to take up the cudgel. Go get 'em TurtlePower! Edit to add: If you do decide to make an issue of enforcement of bylaws, you will probably have to call or write ahead of the next council meeting to be put on the agenda. Good Luck!

When Christine thought it through, she may have been horrified at the thought of working evenings and weekends and missing her turn in the rotation with Kody. Real Estate is not a 9-5 job, she should have thought of that before she spent the time and money on courses.
