The floor looks slick in that video. It kinda lookes like everyone was trying not to fall. Also, I can’t decide if I prefer Jenna with the brown highlights/ombré look or without....hmmm

The twitter account just posted a tweet in which they say in the tweet and video attached that “there is one more cut to make.” Either the Erica situation will be handled in a voiceover at the beginning, or more likely, it seems like they’re just going to pretend that Kelli didn’t say on the last episode that there were 2 more cuts.

Yeah I think that was it from what I remember. It happened after the calendar shoot and right before auditions from what I remember.

Yeah, I honestly think the fact that they aired that scene with the text speaks volumes, given everything that they don’t show. This show typically seems rather meticulous in what they air and what they don’t in order to further the narrative. Other than embarrassing Jenna (more) and causing rampant speculation regarding Shelly, I’m not sure what that scene achieved as far as moving the story along. It seems like it took away from the HOF performance, which should be what they would have wanted the main discussion to be about regarding episode. If this were a show that aired everything or was super focused on drama, I would see it, but they typically are not, so the inclusion of that scene stands out like a sore thumb, IMO.

Yes to all of this but I especially the bold. My speculation is that if they don’t show it, then it’s because it makes Kelli look bad to have this problem come right on the heels of the Jenna/Holly drama. It’s not like these are rookies misbehaving but veterans, including 2 group leaders. It reflects poorly on management too after a while.

We all have different opinions and different experiences, and that’s cool. No one has to agree, and frankly none of us have Shelly’s job so I don’t see how anyone can say exactly what they would or wouldn’t do in that situation. If you think she did the right thing, cool. Other people disagree. Shelly is not getting piled on any more than the girls on the show. Her actions that were aired are being discussed just like everyone else’s actions m on the show. I’m not sure why we shouldn’t be discussing things that aired and involve her just because she posts here. CMT and K&J decided to air that scene, when IMO it was unnecessary in the first place, but that’s on them, not us. Truth be told, my issue is more that I don’t think the text was noteworthy or wrong in the first place, not so much with anything Shelly did. Regardless though, it was part of the episode, so it’s appropriate to discuss in a topic on the episode.

Honestly, when the girls are allowed to come on here and give further information to defend themselves, I’ll give Shelly the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise, I don’t like getting half of the sides of the story especially when we’ve been previously told that there are NDAs and other agreements which require confidentiality (I would love to see or get more insight on the terms of that). You know this is a point I go back and forth on. I kind of hate this mentality that employers love to drill in their employees’ heads that you should just be glad to be there and shouldn’t have further personal aspirations. It’s self-serving BS, IMO. Employers aren’t keeping employees around out of the goodness of their heart. They care about the bottom line and in the case of the DCCs, the end product on the field. If K&J thought they had good enough rookies to step up or if Jenna was a mediocre dancer, she would likely be gone. They’re obviously keeping her for a reason. It’s not one-sided on Jenna’s part. On the point issue, I think Jenna walks up against the line of entitlement, which is not attractive. She is not entitled to anything. However, I see nothing wrong with her coming back because she wants point or other things, but this goes back to me thinking the “just be glad you’re here” thing is BS. People want glory and accolades and to move up and be promoted, especially in competitive industries. That’s reality. Jenna is a 6-year vet who IS arguably the best dancer on the team. She was in the triangle last year so of course she wants to be point, which contrary to what some have said, is a big deal. Now that she screwed up, she has to adjust to that new reality that it ain’t happening, but it doesn’t bother me initally.

I think Keyra is really lucky that she’s a power dancer in a year with very few power dancers. Another group of girls, and I think she would be a goner. Regardless of how strong her dance is, Kelli clearly doesn’t like her look.

Yeah, I didn’t watch it but that’s how I remember it being described. It didn’t like seem Jenna ever said that they begged her or even asked her to stay, just that they thought she had more to give, which sounds like something Kelli would say. Exactly. I could see why she would stay before, but after all of this including that office visit and the airing of it last night.....I would be out. It’s just embarrassing at this point. They can air whatever they want to, but I’m not sure what that scene accomplished last night other than taking her down another few pegs. We could’ve had more dance scenes, more insight into what they see in Christina, etc. I totally get that she messed up, I’m not arguing that. Just stating what I would do at this point.

Yes, the color is just awful. The thing is, I don’t dislike Christina. I think she’s cute and she’s not unlikeable. I just feel like they’ve done a poor job of explaining the rationale behind the cuts. What does Christina have that Brennan didn’t? Or that Taryn doesn’t? Why keep Alexandra around? I just don’t feel we’ve seen the explanation.

I read it. I dont think they begged her to come back but I definitely think they were happy to have her return and likely suggested that she stay if she was unsure about retiring. It may just be semantics, but they clearly feel differently now, and at this point, I think she should move on for her own dignity. I’m not a Jenna hater. I’ve always had a soft spot for her. While she can grate on my nerves recently, I love her dancing, so I’m sad for her to see this, but still....the situation does seem toxic. It just seems like she needs a clean break IMO. If this were a job that paid the bills, I would probably say something different, but it’s not.

I think this just depends on the place and the culture there. There are definitely ppl senior to me who I trust, and if I had a convo with them and asked a sensitive question, I would absolutely not expect it to get back to the managing partner, whether they had an answer or not. If they couldn’t answer, I would expect them to say, “I don’t know. I can’t answer that,” not run and divulge a conversation that we had verbatim. Of course, there are others who I would never say anything like that too. It’s just a matter of understanding the culture and people where you work. It appears that Jenna miscalculated badly on that front. Still doesn’t make Shelly look good IMO.

I totally forgot the comment about Angela turning down everything lol. But yeah, if they didn’t know before, they should know now, everything will get back to K&J. Shelly ain’t your confidante or buddy! Jenna really needs to move on for her own sake IMO. I resisted the “she’s pathetic for staying” viewpoint over the summer, but now, actually seeing it play out, she just seems kind of pitiful......Perhaps everything went back to normal after this last visit, but that just doesn’t seem like a good situation for anyone. Frankly, I’m surprised K&J even kept her with how angry and cold they seemed in the office, but hey, I guess they can’t lose all of their top dancers. Really tho, Jenna needs to move or go to school or find a new dance team....something beyond wrapping her whole life in DCC.

I’ll take the word of people who live there, but the last couple of times I’ve been to Dallas, it was incredibly hot and humid. Perhaps that was unusual? i think one issue could be that they may have been out at a different time of day. Its possible that they were practicing in Canton in the afternoon. It’s hot at 7 in the evening and can still be humid, but it’s far, far worse at 2 pm with the sun also beaming down directly on you, for example.

Eeh, not so much a defense of Jenna, just an acknowledgement of reality, at least at my place of work. I fully admit though that I’m a bit jaded. At my job, people are commonly on edge, everyone vents, everyone always wants to be the first to know everything, and everyone always wants to know where they stand. A text like that would not even register. The boss wasting your time (billable time) to discuss a whiny text that you sent would be unusual. (ETA: I can’t imagine someone screencapping a text convo and sending it to the boss at my job. Something like that would spread like a wildfire, which is another reason why that whole thing was unusual to me). Again though, my job is unlike DCC in structure, attitude, etc. I get that.

CMT or someone at the Cowboys hates Jenna lol. Now, I don’t know if Shelly is close to the girls and someone who they feel they can talk to or if this was a convo that Jenna should’ve known would get but would get back to K&J, but that text didn’t strike me as a huge deal, honestly. She definitely shouldn’t be whining about point, but that seemed more of a “can you go ahead and let me know if I’m not going to be point again, so i know what to expect,” not a “it’s my position and I should get to keep it” thing. But who knows what the intent was. Regardless, please let this be the last mention of this nonsense. Over it! I loved this episode though, other than that rather unnecessary scene IMO. I liked all of the Canton scenes. I feel like there has been a surge of dance scenes the last couple of weeks, which I appreciate. She doesn’t get enough praise on the show, but Lacey is beautiful and a wonderful dancer!!!! #TeamLacey

Lol! And did you know that Kashara is such a fabulous performance and looks so great at point? Seriously, the amount of times they feel the need to tell us this is getting a side eye from me lol, and I don’t dislike Kashara.

Agreed, especially on the blondes. I don’t like the color on Gina, Alexandria, Milan, Jessika, or Kelli.

If CMT was there when this went down, they really need to air it. Tasha and Selina (and numerous others through the years) got called out on tv about their weight, Holly got called out for her actions (one could read between the lines from those scenes and get that’s its implied that she’s sleeping with players), and Jenna looks like she’s headed to week 3 of embarrassment given the previews. Yet, Erica gets off without her dirt being mentioned? Not right. Hopefully they don’t bow to her threats, which seem baseless.

Same. Not a fan, and the only time that my tv is ever turned to CMT is when the DCC show is on.

I think this is ultimately the truth. Unless Holly, Jenna, Kelli, and Judy all get in a room and candidly discuss, we’ll never know exactly what happened. Even some of the insider info that we’ve received is contradictory (for example: one story is that Holly acted like a child and refused to take her punishment and quit, while another story is that she was told to resign or be fired). Obviously a lot of it is muddled and while speculation is fun, and I’ve certainly engaged in it plenty on this issue, at the end of the day, it’s still just speculation.

I really don’t think it’s all about the show, though im sure it has helped. I think the DCCs were well-known long before that. The Dallas Cowboys in general are probably the most famous NFL team as it is, which I’m sure helps. As someone said earlier, if there are 2 pro dance teams that I think most people would think of and be able to name, it would be the Laker Girls and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. I don’t think CMT really has that much to do with it.

Has Cersten given any interviews that go in depth as to her medical school hopes? I’m sure that she wouldn’t say outright if her grades are the problem, but if that is what’s holding her back, I imagine that she would be taking some additional classes. If her grades are good and the MCAT is the issue, then probably not. Med school just seems so tough to get into and not just at the top tier schools, but in general. When I was applying for law school, it seemed like most people who had decent grades and at least a decent LSAT managed to get in somewhere eventually (even if they only got off the waitlist at the last minute). On the other hand, I knew really good and smart students who it took a couple of years for them to get into med school.

I don’t know. I doubt it was that deep for her. She was probably was bored in the locker room, knew some people at the game, and wanted to hang with them. She probably thought it wouldn’t be a big deal to slip out and say hi to some friends and while there had a drink and posted a pic. Posting pics on social media is probably second nature to her, so she didn’t even think it would come back to bite her. As for being stupid, of course it was, but she probably thought it wouldn’t surface or if it did, she could talk her way out of it. Why she didn’t learn from her 2 buddies getting in trouble right before this, who knows. I do think too much is made of the group leader thing. Yes, ppl in leadership positions should be the best behaved but in reality, that’s just not often the case. In many cases, it’s the new people who heed the rules the most bc they’re scared of getting caught. Ppl who have been there, done that know the deal. Erica probably saw senior girls break rules and get away with it before and may have done so herself in the past, so she thought she would get back. Unfortunately for her, seems like Kelli has had enough.

Jessika was in great shape when she first made the team, but I think she has looked soft for a while now. That team pic looks better with a clearer image, but the placing of the cheerleaders is still way off.
