Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to David T. Cole's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
I love that Momma Dee wants a Vespa, I think she is ridiculous, but sometimes she just tickles me. As for Ariane, I'm not exactly sure what the term "extra" means, but I feel like it could probably describe Ariane. I'm not sure why she is crying, if I were her I woulda been pissed, not sad. Mimi is sitting there acting defensive because people are judging her, well, guess what buttercup, thats what people do when you make a porno and then try to deny it. There is no reason for her to get mad at her friends when they are seeing what everyone else in the world is seeing....no, Vivid didn't just "cut it" to make it look like a professional porn, no one ever said the Pamela and Tommy Lee tape, or the Paris Hilton tape looked "professional" so thats not what Vivid does. The beauty of the "stolen sex tape" is that its an amateur production, why would they do anything to make it professional looking? If I were Ariane I would be like "how dare this bitch cop an attitude with me when she is CLEARLY lying right to my face!" Mimi is one of those people who wants to have her cake and eat it too. She wants the extra fame, attention and money that comes from making a porn, but she doesn't want to the slut stigma that some people associate with being in a porn. Well, you can't have it both ways, you can't have all the fame, and attention without anyone judging your actions. You can't get upset with people for saying you're a porn star, when you starred in a porno movie! And she is stupid because she made this porno with Nikko, who doesn't care about her at all, but only cares about being famous. The second it suits him, he is just going to admit to everyone that the two of them professionally made a porno, and then Mimi will be a porn star and a proven liar. I was just SMH when Mimi was like "well say what you will about Nikko, at least he has been with me through all of this" I was like "Bitch! According to your lies you wouldn't have even been in this situation if it weren't for him!" -
I definitely agree that the Selita ride along was just an awful idea. Not only does it mess with the chemistry, but most of the catfishers have self esteem issues around their looks, which is why they choose to lie about how they look. How in the world is it going to make them feel any better to have some snotty supermodel around? And it didn't help that, IMO, she was annoying as fuck.

Dear Mimi, No one cares how many "lawyers" you have. Not a one of them can change the first Amendment. If someone wants to take a picture of you, pay the photographer and slap it on a magazine cover there is nothing you can do about it. Sincerely yours, Logic -

LOL - my goodness, I couldn't even begin to imagine how I would have that conversation with my dad. Just the thought might make me stroke out. Good question about Hip Hop Weekly, I'm starting to think its like one of those pictures you used to be able to take with your face on the cover of Time Magazine. Now I'm on a mission to find a copy -

I see what you're saying. I totally agree that caroline taking an extended smoke break in the middle of a dinner was rude. But I see slight differences. I think smoking is more widespread in the UK than in the US. I also think to some degree that smoking is sort of addictive (I don't smoke, but this is what I've heard). So, because a lot of people smoke in the UK (from what I've seen) I don't think its crazy to think that someone who needs to smoke may say they have go to the restroom. Its not rude per se to leave the table, mostly because its not rude to have to answer the call of nature. So I think that given that smoking is more widespread in the UK and it is okay to leave the table to go to the restroom, I would think that its not so rude to say you have to go to the restroom when you really have to go smoke. I know I've said I had to go to the restroom when I just needed a little air for a few minutes because it was stuffy inside, or I needed to give myself an injection, but didn't want to do it in front of everyone, or announce it to everyone. But Juliet's behavior was right in front of her guests, being loud about the whole bambi thing, and then passing food around the table. I think where Caroline went very, very south in terms of manners wasn't in that she went to out to smoke when she said she was going to the restroom, but I think it was in the extended period of time she was gone. If you need to be gone from the table for whatever reason, it shouldn't be an excuse to stroll the grounds looking for a three person swing, it should have been a quick smoke outside then back to the table. I do remember Caroline saying at some point that Juliet was going to find that no one would want to invite her anywhere because of her behavior. So, I don't know if she was trying to help Juliet in her own way. I think telling Juliet things straight out has often led to her becoming defensive and proclaiming that "this is who I am!!!!" I do agree that there is a high likelihood that Caroline didn't do it to be nice, but for some other show related motive, but I do remember her saying something like that about Juliet. Caroline has been a part of that "society" for what sounds like years, so maybe she can get away with a little bad behavior, especially when its not done right in front of people. I'm not sure if Juliet is at that point yet, and if people will just perhaps not invite her to things because they think she is going to be loud and obnoxious. -

I agree, and said it a couple of times before. Amber especially should have been working to get Caleb evicted. I'm not sure how he is in live feeds, but I figure its only a matter of time before her continued rejection of him is no longer really seen as an attractive challenge in his mind, but as her welshing on a deal that she never agreed to when he put himself on the block for her. If he turns on her, now she has an enemy, and if the misogyny is that deep in the household, then its possible the other guys turn on her. And if the men hold sway over what the women think..... -

Ha ha, I think that would be such perfect justice, but my feeling is that the minute she finds a richer Garden Gnome she will leave him. :) And honestly, how does she know about where he used to live, was that like a date? "hey, why don't we go grab a bite to eat, and I'll show you were I lived when I had money?" Is it public record? Was she stalking him? -
are you sure? I can't believe you would suggest this is anything other than high fashion

Here is what confuses me about Noelle. In one breath she is adament that she loves Scot for Scot and that she is no golddigger, and how dare you even think such a thing. She is with Scot because he is amazing, and love is blind, and she is a self made woman who doesn't need a man for his money. Scot is just her type because she has always been into men that vaguely resemble a garden gnome. But then in the next breath she is letting you know exactly how much she thinks about Scot's money, and how she somehow could have had it all if she had just been around a few years ago. -

Wow - the Golden Nugget is looking real rough. I know that the Golden Nugget looks at this as free advertising (well, for the cost of putting the girls up for free), but that can not be the best suite they have, everything looked so old and dusty and ragged. It did not make me want to stay at the Golden Nugget ever. I can't believe that they couldn't get a classier casino/hotel to put them up for their stay. There are so many casinos in Vegas, all vying for business, it just seems like they could have at least gotten the Flamingo or the Rio or something. I think so too...I understand your point Lovecat, but are you seriously going to go and pat a total stranger on the head? And this isn't someone you're at a party with or even know in passing, just some stranger walking around in Vegas. And are you really going to do it while there is a camera crew around? And Brianna's response was a little too fast, like it had been scripted, it didn't sound natural at all. -
Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

LMAO at Febreeze with your pass, I think you could be onto something! To be fair, because I try real hard not to judge those who just don't have the means to take a shower, but she apparently had purchased all the cigarettes, cheap perfume and coffee so I know she could have found a place to hose down. Even a birdbath in a public restroom would have helped the situation. But the cheap perfume is what really was the icing on the cake. My nose would have eventually gotten used to the stink of the bo + cigarettes + coffee, but it was the covering of it all with the stink of cheap old lady perfume. I still remember spending the better part of four hours wondering if there was any way I could survive jumping from a train window going like 100 mph, and another hour into the ride I might have thought the risk was worth it. By the time we got off the train my eyes were watering. -

Well, the table at lunch time is a cesspool of dangers for the child of the helicopter mom. He could catch a splinter from the dining room table. If he drops his fork...or his straw, he may fall down and skin a knee trying to pick it up, and then there are so many germs just floating around in the air, I mean of course helicopter mom is using lysol spray, but that only gets rid of 99.9% of allergans, there is no telling what the kid might be breathing in that is making him sick, and she needs to be ready to rush him over to the pediatrician the minute he exhibits any sign of illness real or imagined. Ugh...life is just too short -

I read a similar argument made by Sam I Am in Green Eggs and Ham. Although to be real, she is so creepy calm I figure she has had a little "aged and fermented" Welchs Grape Juice -
Listen, I've given up trying to assign logic to the bad girl house. These girls fight about things that don't even make any sense in life (someone wanting you to use your own juice, constant fights about who is allowed in VIP, the value or lack of value in replacement bad girls) so I stopped trying to figure it out. But I have a problem when a) you constantly talk shit about kicking someones ass and manage to "hold yourself back" every week, bitch, shut up or beat her up already and b) when you don't even pretend like you have a personal problem with the girl, or like she did something to you and so you're basically co-signing with everyone else in the house. and its sorta sad, there is nothing "bad" about a girl who can't think for herself.

Wow, people really tell you that? I have my own thoughts on atheism, but I think everyone's relationship, or lack of a relationship with god is their own business. I actually respect atheists because their goodness is not powered by an ultimate ulterior motive. but I think most Christians are those that more loosely identify with Christianity. They are Christian, they believe in god, but they aren't going to church every week, they are making it for Easter and Christmas. They certainly aren't wearing bowties and loudly imploring god to give them some BB money. I think if you polled the house, most of them would say they are Christians, especially Amber, Caleb, Nicole, Donny, Cody, and Devin (even though he is gone) they just aren't loud about it. I think BB looks for the loud ones.

That makes it sound like they are about to have some sort of freaky sex. Well, to me...but my mind lives in the gutter so.... Whatever Febreeze, everyones nose gets used to a certain odor after like 10 minutes, its changes in odors that we detect. Although there was this one time I took the Eurostar from London to Paris (a 4 hour trip) and was sitting next to a french lady who I swear to you hadn't showered in a few days, hadn't bothered with deodorant, drank all the coffee and smoked all the cigarettes and then decided to try to cover it all up in horrible old lady perfume. That was a four hour olfactory assault. If the French had fought off the Germans with that stink, America may not have needed to play such a role in WWII. -

For game play, I think a-holes should stick around. I hated, hated hated Aaryn last season. I mean a hate with the intensity of the brightest star in the entire universe. I resolved only to watch until she got booted, and then I just couldn't handle it and I just watched Julie Chen's exit interview (which I watched with the same joy I would have if I was eating an ice cream sandwich....and thats a lot of joy!). And no matter how much I hated her, I understood why they kept her around. She had no friends, she was super weaksauce and lame, and every other bad word I could think of and no one was ever going to vote for her in the jury. Well, to be fair to Veronica...if she really believes it, its a pretty awesome story. I feel like talking to Caleb might be fascinating. I mean what type of family do you have where your own mother calls you a moron? I think a guy that goes crazy over women may have some interesting mommy stories. I mean, of course he may save all his truly interesting stories for the rejected women he keeps chained up in his closet, but still. I wouldn't ask him anything about his body, or whatever is in those shakes he drinks or anything like that. I wouldn't encourage that conversation ever at all. Unless Amber decides that she doesn't really want Caleb to send Cody home. And it doesn't take any promise of anything on her part. She could make up any excuse to Caleb, and if Caleb thinks it will score him points with Amber, he will do...or not do it. I mean, this dumbbell put himself on the block to try to save her, I don't think its a stretch to think that if she really didn't want Cody to go home, Caleb would save him, because Caleb is very loyal....to Amber. -

LOL - its probably an LLC owned by NatureMade :) We all have our standards, and I'm not one to judge hers. However, if I were a hooker, I would want a guy with a good credit score, because it means he is going to be able to pay or if he doesn't, I can threaten to ruin his credit score. A guy in an awesome car with bad credit is probably paying all his money in interest fees, not hooker fees. Thats not how it works, thats not how any of this works! :) -
This is why I think Amber also is not the sharpest crayon in the box. IMO, she was in a good position to quietly get Caleb sent home this week. A few well placed words could have done the trick. People see how weird he is over her, especially the guys, who have shown they can influence the women. And frankly, Devin was no longer a threat to win the entire game. Like Derrick said, he is very likely always going to be a bigger target than most people. I think jumping into his arms is a bit much, especially if he is creepy, but I understand why she doesn't want to alienate him entirely. But she wouldn't have to deal with that if he was gone. Now she is in the middle of a volatile situation with him, because I feel like he could turn in a minute. And I also think that the longer Caleb makes knife wielding puppy dog eyes at her, the more it can turn the other women against her. And if her strategy is to use Caleb because he likes her, I don't think its an awful move because he is a good competitor and seems willing to go the extra mile to save Amber, but I would just be very, very careful of employing that strategy, because with Caleb it seems like you "owe" him, and there is no telling when he is going to come to collect, so it might get a little messy. At the same time, I think it may also put her in a funky position with the other women.

Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out
RealityGal replied to Stinger97's topic in Past Seasons
What I don't understand is why they don't backdoor Caleb. All of the reasons they gave tonight for doing it were legitimate. He is crazy for Amber, if she goes home he is probably going to flip his lid and come after whoever nominated her. I certainly understand not putting her up right away because he could easily win BotB or Power of Veto, but why get rid of people who thus far have posed no physical threat? It seems to me the move that makes the most sense is to get out crazy and strong players early in the game. They don't go to the jury house so they can't do something rash in terms of voting. And they are likely to win more competitions because they are strong, and a lot of the competitions involve physical strength. Once those people are gone, then those players that are physically "middle of the road" competitors can win competitions and then evict the nice, reasonable people to the jury house. -
I think if I were able to talk through the air vents in their rooms, I would go to Haydens room and tell him to cut that hair. I think its holding him back with Nicole. The long hair isn't cute on him IMO and its not even cut in a particular style its just sort of...there. I don't know if he does it as an anti-establishment thing, but I think Nicole doesn't hail from those parts of the country known for that. I think a nice tidy haircut would catch her, and probably everyone else's eye. I don't know, I watched a little of Rachels season, and I'm not sure how she has so many fans, she seemed annoying, so I'm not sure if it was that, or if they thought that Elissa would always have some sort of secret knowledge/power because she was connected to such a well liked player. It doesn't seem like anyone was all that into Amanda. LOL @ the bowtie sussing out how to get the number 2 on top! the only thing I would have changed about the competition would be to somehow limit the number of times you could "take on" one player in a row. I think each "unpicked" person should have had to take on another person who hadn't been picked yet to compete. I know no one likes Devin, but it felt unfair that he had to go up each and every time. I think after Devin won against Christine, then Christine should have been out, and the next player Derrick, would have to either take on Donny or Caleb. After Donny won that, then Caleb could choose to take on either Donny or Devin, and then the winner of that match takes on whomever wasn't chosen. It just seemed unfair, especially since Donny was able to learn so much by just watching.

I sure hope not. Not because I think so highly of Joseline, but Deb is much too old to be trying to beat someone's ass, or even threatening to.
