Yes to this! This is why I do love Nina Garcia, I know she is a bitch, but for some reason I just love her, especially in moments like that. Although, note to Julie Bowen, if you've seen every season of PR you should know that the most successful guest judges are those that aren't straight up bitchy. One of my favorites, strangely enough was I think John Legend, or some other male singer, because he just seemed so nice and supportive and had a real point of view. He wasn't in any rush to call anyone out... Oh, Sandro was such gold, I love that crazy little Russian. And I actually also liked his clothes. I also miss M Kors all the time, for him, bitchy mean girl worked, he always made me laugh. I really like Fade's too! Amanda seems more about just doing what she wants to do. I guess her edgy rocker chick doesn't really do spring colors. Listen, I'm just happy its the Aldo wall, and not the Belk wall again. The Belk wall was just awful, and I was scared they were going to have a Walmart accessory wall this year. I'm sure PR got more money from Mary Kay, or maybe they had to give them the makeup sponsorship at a good price because you know Mary Kay had to be pissed about being the makeup sponsor for Under the Gunn when that show was such an abysmal failure. I miss MK too! But I loved his bitchy mean girl act, and behind that I felt like most of his critiques were dead on. I can handle bitchy mean girl, because thats what the contestants signed on for, when their outfits are good they are given praise, when they are bad, they got the MK treatment. But I think bitchy mean girl when you don't know anything about fashion/design (Julie Bowen) is not so cool. I think they also get a refrigerator full of food from Samsung? PR is really reaching, and I'm not exactly sure what Red Robin gets out of it, except maybe some "uniform accessory" designed by a PR winner? Oh, they also get to stay at Best Westerns in all of the major fashion cities...... I agree, that dress should have been on top, I think Amanda should have just been safe. She did what she wanted to do, not what the challenge called for.

Well...as usual, I'm totally confused and apparently not fashionable. I didn't think Jefferson's high waisted shorts were all that bad. I really didn't, and I liked the contrast between the print and the solid, which I think had something to do with the way the waist was placed. I don't think they were the best look, but I thought they were maybe in the middle. I think Char should have won, and I think its Heidi's influence that had Shandaya winning. Just like with Patricia. Heidi just likes odd and novel things. Nina likes a finished look, and I more often than not agree with Nina. I thought Char's was beautiful, but she will have to watch out with the circle skirt, there was another on her rack for judging, so I just hope that doesn't become her thing like Miranda and those pencil skirt/crop top combos. But Char's top was gorgeous, and I loved floved Zac's idea that it could become a gown. Yes Zac! Interesting to hear that at some point in the season Tim is going to call people out for bullying....perhaps trying to redeem himself after Under the Gunn?

Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out

Amber has spoken about trying to get with other women to form some sort of alliance, or at least she was talking to Christine about it. Of course Christine pretended to be interested, but was true to her alliance with the Detenators. Amber was ridiculous for not trying to get rid of Caleb when she had a chance. Frankie had said something about not even really wanting to be involved with either of them because of their "crazy situation" which is unfair to Amber, because its really Caleb who is crazy, but they are both lumped together as being "too much drama" to work with. Yeah, but do they get to keep the Swingline stapler? -

I have seen documentaries that sort of support your point about the gay community, but most of the documentaries (and I mean no disrespect) seem to say that a lot of it is based on the fact that "poppers" or "uppers" or normally prevalent in the gay community. It seemed like a way to deal with the stress of so many people in society telling you that you're doing something wrong by having the sex you feel is right. But it also may lower inhibition and make you more likely to have more partners. I don't think a lot of people who are straight have to deal with that pressure. I do agree Christine shouldn't have to live at the Notre Dame, she won't break any mirrors or cause children to have nightmares, but she isn't the first woman I think of when I think "women who can use their looks to get out of trouble...." Not even in Arizona.... But I totally agree that it doesn't make her look any better to tear down Amber. Men like confidence (or so I've been told) and it doesn't sound confident to call another woman ugly -

I haven't seen anyone who wears the glasses with NO lenses, I've only seen people wear them with non-RX lenses. I haven't seen any even being sold that simply don't have any lenses. But as far as non-RX glasses, I've seen a lot of girls with them, the nerd kind except they are supposed to be "nerd-cool" not "nerd-nerd" I don't blame Derrick, he has a bad eyebrow situation going on, I would look for creative ways to cover that up too. -
Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out
RealityGal replied to Stinger97's topic in Past Seasons
You know, I've recently cut glutens out of my life, and it doesn't seem that hard to maintain. The biggest things you have to worry about are breads and pasta IMO. Most of what I eat is either in a bag/box with a gluten free label (because they are gluten free crackers, chips or cookies) or its a fruit, or its a piece of meat. And it seems odd that if you know you're that gluten intolerant why you wouldn't be super duper careful with your food? I could maybe see where you might mistake a gluten free piece of bread for one that had gluten, but I would think if you're super intolerant you would be on the lookout for that. Ants inside a jar of peanut butter....yuck, I didn't even think ants liked peanut butter. I remember Devin calling Brittany out for leaving stuff out in the kitchen/not cleaning up after herself. And she copped such an attitude....I can't honestly believe that grown people really expect someone else to clean up after them. Unless someone has cooked dinner for everyone people should at least be able to wash their own dishes and leave a counter clean.... I don't know, it sounds like Christine likes Cody, maybe she is trying to sweeten the pot? Or explaining exactly how she got out of those speeding tickets? 150 guys? Thats a lot of guys. If he started having sex at 16, and is 31 now thats like 10 guys a year.... -
I think they were saying that enough people are tired of Caleb that if he was the replacement nominee it would likely be Caleb that was going home. And I think Caleb would be the better choice, he seems like a wildcard in that his entire game seems to be motivated by Amber and he screwed his alliance members. So he doesn't always go along with the alliance or else he would have kept that POV. He isn't always going to be a "number" for them, he hates Cody and will take him out if he can to get him away from Amber, and the minute Amber tells Caleb to do something that goes against the other alliance members its all over. Caleb is not that bright and is totally obsessed. It sounds like Brittany wouldn't be able, at this point, to get much of an alliance going, and frankly she won't be all that much of a challenge if she is physically hurt from the 2400 kicks, so its likely that they could have just gotten her out next week. This does seem to be a thing, but it also confuses me, unless CBS runs people from one reality show to another. Like the way MTV does with people on Road Rules, like maybe this season you do Big Brother because Big Brother "famous" and then get to do the Amazing Race. But, to me, the most famous person from BB has been Aaryn....and for all the wrong reasons.

I guess its not that I have a problem with "deserving" to be there per se. But I more have a problem with "I deserve to be here because I have two kids" or "I deserve to be here because I have three kids and a cat" or "I deserve to be here because I have three kids, a cat, and a hamster" This is a game, to me, you deserve to be here if you're playing the game, and you deserve to be there even more if you're playing the game well. You don't just deserve to be handed money because you feel like you need it. Almost everyone feels like they need it or else they wouldn't be there, and why is your reason so much more worthy than anyone elses? To me, by saying you really deserve to be here is like saying that someone else doesn't really deserve to be here because their reasons aren't as good as yours, but who are you to judge? To me, the basis of deserving to be there should be based on your ability and willingness to play the game.

Yeah, that sounds fishy.....even if you know why you got pulled over, its not quite the right move if you're batting your eyelashes and using cute to try to get out of a ticket. I've always used the Steve Urkel method...."did I do that?" Follow it up with a sheepish smile and a "gosh, I'm so sorry, I'm just on my way to x, and I didn't realize I was going so fast" If you're looking cute thats the time to try to throw out those boobs...or, well, whatever Christine is working with. And even then its not foolproof enough to get you out of 7-8 speeding tickets. WTF?!?? She is sick again? What is going on with her? What is it she ate? I'm just wondering if its that the food may be bad because of the general lack of house food cleanliness standards, or if she is purposefully eating something she is intolerant of or allergic to. Throwing up constantly sounds like food poisoning to me, but why isn't anyone else getting sick? -
LOL! He was really right up in his ass, it was uncomfortable for me to watch because I feel like an impromptu ass rub with one person kneeling is something you all should be doing in private.....maybe with some candles and soft music or something....

S06.E01: What A Difference A Plea Makes
RealityGal replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
I think Melissa is probably sympathetic because I think Melissa realizes she could be next. I get a funny feeling that their money is not all clean either. In fact, I have questions about where a lot of the money on that show comes from. Although, credit to the Manzo boys, I saw BLK water being sold at Whole Foods, which is a pretty big get. with your degree in exercise science? or whatever she has her degree in? -
1. Cody is a moron - my goodness man, Zach and Donny have both made excellent points as to why you should get rid of Caleb. Caleb not only doesn't like you, and will have NO problem coming after you if he is HoH, but he has shown that he is not loyal to whatever alliance you all just agreed you really don't have! And now, not only have you failed to get rid of a threat, you have put up a favored player! Not only that, he had a good reason to put Caleb on the block so there would not have been any "blood on his hands" Caleb decided to go against the alliance, so there is good reason to put him up. Frankly, at this point, I think Cody deserves to go home. I can't blame Derrick or Frankie, they are playing the game. They are playing dirty, but they are playing the game. If you want to sit there and not make a move that would ONLY benefit your game, and instead make a move that makes you look like a jackass, then you deserve what you get. 2. Britney - I think it was a little ridiculous for her to do the challenge. If I were her, I don't think I would have done it. The risk isn't worth the reward, even if she stayed, she would be pretty useless since it would take her a while to recoup. Her time could have been better spent trying to read the house and see if she could engineer a backdoor move. 3. Deserving to be in the house - The more I think about it, the more I think that any talk about who "deserves" to be there is a little ridiculous. Mostly because in this house, it seems to be mostly based on who has kids and who needs it as a measure of who "deserves" to be there. I think if you're busting your hump, playing a smart game and making moves you deserve to be there. I don't think you "deserve" to be there because you may need the money more than someone else. 4. Team America - that challenge was stupid. The most physically threatening players are men. Frankie and Derrick saying that Amber is the biggest female physical threat told me all I needed to know. They were going to put up a woman no matter what.

LMAO - you are so wrong for that, but that is so dead on. As for getting out of tickets, I don't know if it always has to do with being pretty, I've found I've mostly gotten out of tickets (knock on wood) for mostly just being cool, calm and collected. I think with some forms of religious fevor you don't neccessarily ask, or use tact. I mentioned it before, but I took a flight from LA to Chicago, and the entire time I was seated next to a woman who was a born again Christian. She spent the entire three hour flight explaining her religion to me, in spite of the fact that I clearly had my 700 page Torts casebook out and open with my highlighter in my hand, and I had told her about 5 times that I was in law school. I clearly wanted to read, but it just didn't phase her. And she was a very nice lady, I just think for some people it doesn't matter. The stewardess looked at me with such pity...oy -

He kissed her in her sleep? Like crawled into her room in the middle of the night stalkerlike and bent over and kissed her? OMG, she didn't know? Oh no, thats on a whole different level, was it a dare of some sort? That really is scary when you feel like its okay to do things to people without their permission or even without them being conscious of what you're doing. Its not a husband kissing his wife while she sleeps, this is a guy she has said she has no interest in kissing her in her sleep. Thats not right. -
S01.E08: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
RealityGal replied to RubberDuckie's topic in Ladies Of London [V]
I hope this show gets a second season. I actually think I would like it if all the women returned. Every show needs its antihero, and Juliet, Noelle, and Caprice work for me. As for Annabelle, the last few episodes she has seemed much more the voice of reason. I like that Caprice clearly called her for support and she wasn't mean, but she wouldn't just roll over and agree. But she is another one who needs a cheeseburger, she was looking damn near skeletal. I just noticed just how noticeable Noelle's faux British accent is. And please with the nicknames, how hard is it to say "Caprice", why would you call her "Cap?" But Cap (insert sarcastic eyeroll here) was amazingly rude at the party, and I have no idea where she gets off being a victim. First off, no one did anything to her. Caroline was giving shit to two other people, who you put in a bad position by asking them to host a baby shower for you, and probably not telling them that you had already asked Caroline to do it. Not that Caroline had offered, but that you had asked her. Caprice put them in that position and she put Caroline in the position of having put out all this effort and expense just to be told that whatever she had planned wasn't going to work for her highness Caprice. She could have even had two baby showers, just asked Caroline to have a small one at her house for close friends and family and then ask Marissa and Noelle to host a more public, splashy baby shower with a different group of people at the restaurant. But nevermind any of that, Caroline didn't do anything to her, so when did she become a victim in everything, when did she become so put upon? Especially since it doesn't sound like anyone asked her to intervene. Second, universal manners and just decency say that you don't walk into someone's house for a dinner party and not even acknowledge them. And once she realized she had "pregnancy brain" or whatever, she should have gone back and apologized, instead she insisted that she was somehow a victim. Third, how are you a victim when you're insulting someone in their own home and you're asked to leave? -

Thank goodness! Today I was thinking "what will we do about the brainpower lost when all those AIDS researchers went down in the Ukraine?" and then of course it was eclipsed by the much more important question of whether or not Caleb will keep his body sculpted after he signs that sweet sweet record deal. Man, I had a lady explain the concept for me for three hours straight on a plane ride from LA to Chicago. I wish I still had her number, she had a booklet full of pictures and everything, because I'm pretty sure she assumed I was too stupid to understand....as I sat on the plane with a Torts casebook. -
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to David T. Cole's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
I'm not above talking shit, and yes, she needs a bra, she may also have a case of medical malpractice against her plastic surgeon, because I know no one is getting fake boobs so they can look like that! I have no idea why this dumb broad thought she would get paid to be on the cover. Probably because she sees rich movie stars on the cover and figures "why not me?" and I think some of them will pay for the photographs for like a big name star, I don't understand why Mimi thinks she is even on the same level as that chick from John and Kate plus 8. If Benzino wanted to be an asshole he would pay Vivid for the right to use whatever cover art they put on that porno they did and run that picture on the cover. Mimi doesn't even make any kind of sense, I think she is on something. Thats actually a pretty reasonable theory. LOL, Joseline and Mimi are two sides of the same damn coin, neither of them can stand it when the other gets too much attention. On a totally vain and judgmental note, I wish Joseline would let go of that shaved side of the head look. -
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to David T. Cole's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
LMAO at that. Where were they indeed? This cadre of top attorneys that Mimi is gonna sic on Benzino at a moments notice. I was SMH, like seriously Mimi, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can't stop magazines from putting them on the cover, do you think you have access to better attorneys than they do? Mimi is all an act, she tries to use her sad whisper voice around Nikko, and then in another minute her and her totally made up face, and fake eyelashes are jumping into bed with him and laughing at how she is making so much money off of this and selling shower rods. Then she is using her angry whisper voice when she is talking to her friends about judging her. Whatever Mimi. I'm totally confused about that scene. First off, I don't quite understand what a friendship ring means in this situation, it sounds like "here is a ring to celebrate me not making any commitment to you" or "here is a ring to say I like you, but I'm not going to commit" I feel like you're saying with a ring, what might be better said with an R. Kelly song...the one about the jeep.... Although I'll hand it to Scrappy, nothing tickles me quite as much as a black man in an all white suit. I don't know why, there is just something to that look that makes me smile. -

RealityGal replied to RubberDuckie's topic in Ladies Of London [V]
does everyone know for sure if its being cancelled? I hope not, why can't I have nice things? :( i thought the show was a great summer show. I wouldn't want it to compete with RHOA or Top Chef, but I think for a summer show it was a lot of fun. I assumed most summer shows did poorly because people are out having fun and enjoying the summer. If they were to agree to another season I agree that Annabelle is probably a non-starter...unless she can actually somehow speak to McQueen at a seance or something. Or maybe if she were just to let herself go a little. -

I would be interested to hear how the "Amber's not so pretty" stuff comes out, because I was telling my sister the exact same thing. I don't think Amber is all that pretty. I think she has some things that make people automatically think "drop dead gorgeous" - like the fact that she is light skinned, she has long hair, she is skinny and has green eyes - but I think if you look at her face, something is off there. And I think its when you see her close up. Its like in that movie Clueless when Cher calls someone a Monet or something, like they look really good from far away but when you get close you see that its not all that great. Anyways, I didn't point this out to my sister in a "I don't know who that girl thinks she is, she isn't even pretty!?!!" way, it was more like "you know whats strange, now that I look at Amber, I don't think she is really all that pretty! Isn't that odd!?"
